Statistical Analysis of Electric Field Distribution in Metal Cabinet with Built-in RFID Antennas 内置RFID天线金属柜内电场分布的统计分析

This paper studies the influence of different working positions for the 922 MHz high-frequency radio frequency identification (RFID) antennas on the statistical characteristics of the electric field distribution in a metal cabinet. It shows that when RFID antennas are placed in the center of the opposite both walls of the cabinet, the probability density function (PDF) of the higher electric field level can achieve the most effective layout. When objects consist of different dielectric constants in the metal cabinet, the level of the electric field is inversely proportional to the corresponding relative permittivity of the dielectric constants.

Reconfigurable Metasurface for Dynamical Modulation of Reflection, Transmission, and Absorption 用于反射、传输和吸收动态调制的可重构元表面

In this paper, a reconfigurable metasurface is proposed for dynamically modulating reflection, transmission, and absorption. The proposed metasurface is based on tri-layer structure, with varactors loaded on the top and bottom layers. By applying proper bias voltages to the varactors, this metasurface can achieve nearly full-range modulation of reflection, transmission, and absorption. This metasurface paves a new way for dynamic modulation of electromagnetic waves, and may find various applications in practice.

Square Ring Element for Tilted Beam Radiation Utilizing Metasurfaces 利用超表面的倾斜光束辐射方形环单元

In this paper, metasurfaces are utilized to support off-broadside radiation. The design consists of a square ring element printed in the vicinity of non-uniform metasurfaces. The non-uniform metasurfaces are designed to improve the realized gain of the tilted beam and to enhance the matching performance of the radiating element. The proposed design yields a tilted beam with a maximum realized gain of 9.7 dBi. The design operates from 4 to 5 GHz with a reflection coefficient below -10 dB. The overall height profile is $boldsymbol{0.07}lambda_{4.5GHz}$.

Antenna Designs for a Milimeter Wave Massive MIMO Testbed with Hybrid Beamforming 混合波束形成的毫米波海量MIMO试验台天线设计

Massive multiple-input multiple-out (MIMO) technology and mm wave are important technologies in 5G/6G to enhance the spectrum efficiency and system capacity. However, it has a lot of challenges in mm wave range, such as high hardware cost and power consumption in such systems. Hybrid beamforming is an interesting solution with less number of RF transvers than antennas. In this paper, we will present antenna designs for a 28GHz hybrid beam forming massive MIMO system with 64 antennas and 16 RF transvers.

Two-Level Antenna Modeling with Domain Confinement and Explicit Dimensionality Reduction 具有域约束和显式降维的两级天线建模

Full-wave electromagnetic (EM) simulations are essential to reliable evaluation of modern antenna structures. Yet, high computational cost of EM analysis poses a serious challenge for EM-driven antenna design. A possible workaround is to utilize fast surrogates. However, the curse of dimensionality hinders the applicability of the conventional surrogate-assisted frameworks beyond simple structures described by a few parameters. A workaround is offered by the recently proposed nested kriging technique, where the surrogate domain is confined to the parameter space region containing high-quality designs, which allows for setting up reliable models at a low cost. Here, this expenses are further reduced through an explicit domain dimensionality reduction by means of principal component analysis.

Single-Mode Wireless Sensing by Nonlinear Parity-Time-Symmetric Circuits 非线性奇偶-时间对称电路的单模无线传感

Wireless sensing in parity-time-symmetric system by interplay between gain and loss have shown enhanced sensitivity due to the nonlinear response. Here, we report single-mode wireless sensing using nonlinear parity-time-symmetric circuits. We observe an exceptional point where the frequency response of system is nonlinear following square-root-topology. We also observe frequency hopping point by single-mode switching due to the nonlinear saturable gain. We demonstrate wireless pressure sensing with enhanced sensitivity at an EP and HP compared to the traditional wireless sensing without gain. Wireless sensing by parity-time-symmetric circuits shows great potentials for highly sensitive biomedical sensing.

A Bidirectional Pattern of DRA by Employing Cylindrical Spoof Surface Plasmon Polariton Structure 利用圆柱形欺骗表面等离子激元结构的双向DRA模式

This paper presents a low profile bidirectional pattern cylindrical DRA antenna with single and double cylindrical spoof surface plasmon polariton (CSSPP) structures. The resonant structures are placed over a dielectric substrate. The omnidirectional pattern of cylindrical DRA in TE01δmode gets converted into a bidirectional pattern with the proximity placement of even mode resonating cylindrical SSPP structures. Moreover, the proposed antenna has single CSSPP, and double CSSPP resonator resonates at 2.4 GHz and 2.48 GHz, respec-tively. It exhibits a lower value of cross-polarization in the desired direction.

A Kapton-Based Flexible Wideband Antenna with Metamaterial Resonators for Millimeter-Wave Wireless Applications 一种用于毫米波无线应用的基于光子的柔性宽带天线与超材料谐振器

In this paper, a microstrip metamaterial antenna with eight resonator elements is proposed for wideband 5G flexible wireless devices. The proposed antenna, designed on a 0.1 mm Kapton film, exhibits a large fractional bandwidth of 57.3 %, from 21.4 GHz to 38.6 GHz. By exploiting the benefits of metamaterials, a S11 better than - 40 dB and a gain as high as 4.5 dBi were achieved over the operational bandwidth. Furthermore, the metamaterial antenna demonstrated a stable performance even being bent, i.e., less than 5% variation in bandwidth.

Circularly Polarized Antenna with Isoflux pattern for Space IoT applications 空间物联网应用的圆极化等通量天线

This paper presents the design of a circularly polarized iso-flux antenna for IoT from space application at 868MHz. The structure is based on a tri-fillar helix configuration. Compare with classical solution, this new configuration can provide up to 2dB more gain at 30° of elevation.

Wavefront Computing in Solids: The Design Parameters and the Ideal Lens 固体波前计算:设计参数和理想透镜

This paper presents a theoretical derivation for the design parameters of wavefront computing (WFC) system in solids including the aperture/transducer sizes, focal length, and the ideal lens. To achieve Fourier transform at the expected focal plane based on the wavefront computing system with ideal lens, the design parameters are derived for various transducers arrays from 4 by 4 to 32 by 32. Based on the theory in geometrical optics, the equations of ideal thick plano-concave lens are derived in solids for a given focal length and material properties. To validate the derived design parameters and the ideal lens, time domain simulation is used to show the propagation of the elastic waves in fused silica block. It can be observed that the waves excited by four piezoelectric transducers will get focused at the expected focal plane after the ideal lens.
