A novel high gain monopole CPW antenna for WiMAX applications 一种用于WiMAX应用的新型高增益单极CPW天线

In this paper, a novel CPW-fed monopole antenna with two semi circular rings faced each other which are mounted on T-shaped structure for WiMAX applications is proposed. The analysis of the antenna is done using method of moments (MoM) in IE3D software. The simulation results show that the antenna exhibits good radiation pattern with wide beam width and high gain. Return loss is improved compared to conventional T-shaped antenna with larger dimensions.

Interoperability procedures between access technologies using IEEE 802.21 使用IEEE 802.21的接入技术之间的互操作程序

Next generation wireless communication will integrate the heterogeneous wireless technologies in order to provide better services, with improved quality, higher coverage, and seamless access to the system resources. Providing support for the connection transfer between different access technologies — vertical handover — together with radio resources management for the integrated networks are the major integration challenges. IEEE has introduced the 802.21 standard which provides a technology-independent abstraction layer. It provides a framework to be used as a starting point for the integrated wireless networks development. In this paper, a solution, built on the IEEE 802.21 — Media Independent Handover — framework is presented, along with some aspects related to the implementation of the system modules in QualNet simulator. The proposed system tries to offer a solution for both the vertical handover process and radio resource managemnet. The paper focuses on system functionalities evaluation for the vertical handover process implemented on a heterogeneous wireless network, implemented with WiMAX and WiFi technologies. The experiments were performed on a simulated platform implemented in QualNet.

Performance analysis of IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) signaling in heterogeneous access networks 异构接入网中IP多媒体子系统信令性能分析

IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) is an architectural framework for delivering Internet Protocol (IP) multimedia services. The main beautiful feature of the IMS is convergence of fixed and wireless networks to provide voice, data and variety of multimedia services. It provides the an opportunity to build open IP based service platform that will enable an easy and efficient deployment of new multimedia communication services mixing voice and data services. IMS is the best solution for any telecom operators who are providing both wired and wireless service for providing the convergence service but proper co-ordination among the different access network is must for the heterogeneity of the service. So, it is very important to know the performance of IMS in the different access networks (Wired and Wireless networks). In this paper, we analyze the signaling performance in various access networks. Basically, in this paper we compare the session setup time and release time between two end user equipments (UEs) having same access networks with same access technology and having different access networks with different access technologies through IMS network.

This paper describes the road of RIWCoS architecture for reconfigurable interoperability and service continuity in wireless hybrid communications: from the IEEE 802.21 MIH standard, through generic modules design and specification, toward implementation and integration. Some key elements of the RIWCoS system are presented: the general MIH-based system architecture, the algorithm for the radio resourse management module, the MIIS module and the demonstrator.

Design and simulation of planar Minkowski fractal antennas 平面闵可夫斯基分形天线的设计与仿真

This paper describes the design and simulation of novel microwave patch type Minkowski planar fractal antennas using IE3D electromagnetic simulation software. The fractal structure is advantageous in generating multiple resonances or enhancing bandwidth. Fractal antenna is comprised of elements patterned after self-similar designs. Self-similarity of the fractal shape can be translated into its electromagnetic behavior. Fractal antennas are very old in concept and very new in design for broadband applications. Many discontinuities in the structure aid in radiating higher frequencies. Both miniaturization and broadband coverage are the greatly achievable factors in this type. This paper proposes the design and simulation of four stages of antennas and the performance characteristics of these four antennas have been reported in this paper.

Advanced socio-technical systems especially handheld and mobile devices are no longer esoteric; rather they are a part of daily life for billions of people worldwide endowing a sense of every time connectedness. With larger bandwidths, powerful processing capabilities, better displays, user friendly and haptic interfaces, mobile platforms holds a promising future for social applications. However, advances in web technologies have led to the development of complex set of applications that demands a nimble and robust architecture that is adaptive to the network constraints. This has resulted in a favorable playground for mobile-aware social applications offering practitioners and researchers key architectural challenges with numerous fledgling opportunities. In this article, we elaborate upon the challenges and provide a framework for incorporating cross-layer interaction between social applications and wireless network capabilities. Specifically, we address the problem of delivering social network content to mobile devices with the required QoS. We propose a generic framework that addresses this issue. We also discuss some suitable wireless network protocols that could be utilized to provide QoS for the delivery of content generated by social applications and for reliable interactions between mobile users and social applications followed by possible future research directions.

An enabler of interoperability in heterogeneous wireless networks 在异构无线网络中实现互操作性

In the context of the rapid development of mobile terminals which are utilizing multiple wireless technologies, the QoS demands while roaming from one type of wireless network to another have increased, leading the way towards redesigning the TCP/IP stack, introducing therefore, the concept of vertical handover. The support came in the form of a module that will sustain interoperability between heterogeneous networks. This paper describes the need of an independent interoperability module and the role it plays in the context of a multi-layered stack. The design respects the guidelines of the IEEE 802.21 standard, enabling communication between multiple medium access control technologies and the network layer that suffered a series of enhancements in order to process the information provided by a 2.5 layer entity.

Proposed embedded security framework for Internet of Things (IoT) 物联网(IoT)嵌入式安全框架

IoT is going to be an established part of life by extending the communication and networking anytime, anywhere. Security requirements for IoT will certainly underline the importance of properly formulated, implemented, and enforced security policies throughout their life-cycle. This paper gives a detailed survey and analysis of embedded security, especially in the area of IoT. Together with the conventional security solutions, the paper highlights the need to provide in-built security in the device itself to provide a flexible infrastructure for dynamic prevention, detection, diagnosis, isolation, and countermeasures against successful breaches. Based on this survey and analysis, the paper defines the security needs taking into account computational time, energy consumption and memory requirements of the devices. Finally, this paper proposes an embedded security framework as a feature of software/hardware co-design methodology.

Together with the conventional security solutions, the paper highlights the need to provide in-built security in the device itself to provide a flexible infrastructure for dynamic prevention, detection, diagnosis, isolation, and countermeasures against successful breaches. Based on this survey and analysis, the paper defines the security needs taking into account computational time, energy consumption and memory requirements of the devices. CBDS: A Cooperative Bait Detection Scheme to prevent malicious node for MANET based on hybrid defense architecture 基于混合防御体系结构的协同诱饵检测方案

With the widespread use of mobile devices, the users of Mobile Ad hoc network (MANET) become increasingly more, which results the rapid development of the technology. Due to MANET don't need the infrastructure, it can deploy fast and conveniently in any environment. Because of its easy deployment features, in addition to used in personal area networks, home area networks and so on. Specially, MANET suit for military operations and the emergent disasters rescue that need to overcome terrain and special purpose in urgent. However the dynamical network topology of MANET, infrastructure-less property and lack of certificate authority make the security problems of MANET need to pay more attention. The common routing protocols in current such as DSR AODV and so on almost take account in performance. They don't have the related mechanism about detection and response. Aiming at the possible attacks by malicious nodes, based on the DSR protocol, this paper presented a mechanism to detect malicious nodes launching black/gray hole attacks and cooperative black hole attacks, known as Cooperative Bait Detection Scheme (CBDS). It integrates the proactive and reactive defense architectures, and randomly cooperates with a stochastic adjacent node. By using the address of the adjacent node as the bait destination address, it baits malicious nodes to reply RREP and detects the malicious nodes by the proposed reverse tracing program and consequently prevents their attacks.

HE-30 Aluminum ruggedised EMI enclosure for GPS based Vehicle Tracking System HE-30铝制坚固的电磁干扰外壳,用于基于GPS的车辆跟踪系统

Main objective of this research proposal is to develop ruggedised Communication System. The research work is undertaken after adopting integrated approach to meet the stringent requirements of equipment design methodologies and compatibility for EMI/EMC, ESS, Environmental test conditions, Ingress protection, Corrosion and Mould growth protection standards. The different EMI methodologies are explored and some of them are implemented. The ruggedised EMI enclosures using Aluminum HE-30 cabinets, conductive gaskets and Copper foil with conductive adhesives are designed for Global Positioning System (GPS) based Vehicle Tracking System (VTS) Transmitter and Receiver boards. The boards with enclosures are tested in national EMI test laboratory. The measured radiation level could be restricted to around 20 dB μV/m in horizontal and vertical directions. The radiation levels are also checked with the help of Agilent Spectrum Analyzer E4411-B and close field EMI Probes 11940A / 11941A with and without enclosure. From the observed radiation in dbm, Field strength (E), Field Strength (H), and Power Density (S) are calculated and compared with standard MIL-STD-461E. By the implementation of enclosure, the radiated emission reduced by around 30dB to 50dB. The enclosure meets compatibility requirements for radiated emission as per MIL-STD-461E.
