In Indonesia, the SDIDTK (Stimulation of Early Detection and Intervention of Growth and Development) program aims to monitor children's growth and development. SDIDTK monitors growth, encompassing body weight, height, and head circumference. It also monitors development, which includes a development test using KPSP (Developmental Pre-Screening Questionnaire), sight test, hearing test, and emotional-mental development test. This study analysed midwives' application of early growth detection services in Magetan Regency, Indonesia. It used a mixed-method approach. This quantitative study assessed the application of early detection by surveying 53 randomly selected village midwives. The qualitative study was conducted by interviewing 8 participants. The results showed that about 43.9% of midwives falsely reported providing SDIDTK services even when they only monitored the growth aspect without monitoring children's development. Midwives are helped by cadres who undergo routine growth examinations. Unfortunately, development detection is not routine. The challenges in implementing developmental detection included heavy workloads, limited time, and limited human resources. Other influential factors include the lack of intersectoral cooperation and the fact that societal empowerment have not optimally been established. The SDIDTK program's implementation remains suboptimal. The authors concluded that midwives should improve cross-sector collaboration, empower communities, and set standards for community midwifery care.

Exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) means giving only breast milk to babies 0-6 month without giving any drinks or food, except medicines and vitamins. Only 44% of babies received EBF worldwide in 2020. Meanwhile, in 2025, the target for achieving EBF is 50%. The research aim is to analyze the determinant of the success of EBF for the first-time mother. Database search via Google Scholar, Pubmed, Web of Science, Science Direct, Scopus, and Pro Quest for articles published since 2020-2022. Search keywords influencing factors, determinants, exclusive breastfeeding, first-time mothers. We found 19 articles but only 6 articles were suitable with the inclusion critrria. From the researches findings that the importance factors influence EBF practice are self-efficacy, social support, culture, relationships between parents, happiness in breastfeeding, and social environment. It is recommended that tracing activities be part of increasing the success of EBF practices for first-time mothers.

Infertility is not life-threatening but is nevertheless an important problem that threatens a couple's wellbeing due to its negative impact on their emotional health and quality of life. This descriptive, correlational study aimed to determine the relationship between university students' attitudes towards infertility and their gender perceptions. The study was conducted in a state university with a total of 602 students. Data were collected using a personal information form, the Attitude Toward Infertility Scale (ATIS), and the Gender Perception Scale (GPS). The scales have no cut-off value and higher scores indicating positive perception of gender and infertility. The study data were evaluated with Spearman's correlation analysis and simple linear regression analysis test was used to analyze the association between GPS and ATIS scores and also the statistical significance was accepted as p<0.05. As a result 63.1% of the students were female; 80.9% had knowledge about infertility and gender inequality. The students' mean GPS and ATIS scores were 104.60±15.54 (range: 52-125) and 49.11±7.62 (range: 19-60), respectively. GPS and ATIS scores were positively associated in linear regression analysis (β=0.30; p<0.001) and correlation analysis (rho:0.590; p<0.001). The results of this study showed that university students had positive gender perception and attitudes toward infertility. In addition, students' attitudes toward infertility were directly associated with the modifiable factor of gender perception.

Adolescence is a phase of life characterized by several reproductive health challenges that require support to navigate. However, access to adolescent and youth-friendly health service (AYFHS) centers to provide this support is limited. Perspective of healthcare workers (HCW) towards understanding the challenges to service provision has not been systematically documented. This study therefore documents the perspectives of HCWs on the types of services accessed by adolescents, and associated challenges in Makurdi, Benue State, Nigeria. The facility-based descriptive qualitative study used an in-depth interview guide among program officers in the 11 youth-friendly health centers. The interviews were recorded, transcribed, and analyzed thematically. The provision of HIV prevention services and AYFHS was appropriate while adolescents have preferences for facilities where their confidentiality is protected, and other needs are met. Reported challenges were lack of privacy, high cost of transportation to facilities, high staff attrition, poor awareness of the facilities and services, and parental consent. Suggestions for improvement included prolonged retention of youth-friendly trained staff, better client confidentiality, and economic empowerment of the adolescents to access services when needed. While the providers' perspective on AYFHS for adolescents was positive, related challenges were also identified. Government and other stakeholders should collaborate to ensure the right environment for accessibility and utilization of AYFHS.

The new coronavirus (COVID‑19) pandemic, midwifery students, who are usually more interested in face-to-face practical learning, have shifted to online learning, changing their fear and healthy lifestyle behaviors. The present research aimed todetermine the relationship between the fear of COVID-19 and healthy lifestyle behaviors in midwifery students in Türkiye. This cross-sectional study was performed on 313 midwifery students in the midwifery department of a university in Türkiye from April to June 2021. The data were collected with the student descriptive information form, Fear of Coronavirus Scale (FCV-19S), and Health-Promoting Lifestyle Profile-II(HPLP-II). The data were analyzed with mean score, standard deviation, number and percentage values, independent sample t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation test. The FCV-19S total mean score was moderate with 17.37±5.61. The total mean score on the HPLP-II was 129.93±21.50, students received the highest mean score on the spiritual development sub-dimension (26.17±5.01) and the lowest mean score on the physical activity sub-dimension (17.05±5.08). It was found that midwifery students had a moderate fear of COVID-19 and displayed moderate healthy lifestyle behaviors.

Maintaining quality of life and physical health in the elderly is crucial for their overall well-being. Hypertension, a prevalent condition among the elderly in Indonesia, requires targeted interventions to mitigate its impact. A quasi-experimental pre-post intervention study was conducted in Bandar Lor, Kediri City, Indonesia, involving 106 elderly participants. The Paguyuban Raga Paruh Baya Lansia Sejahtera (PURABAYA), a senior wellness group program aimed to improve hypertension management through educational sessions on physical activity, nutrition, and hypertension management exercises. The program significantly increased participants' knowledge of physical activity (median increase from 59.62 to 82.69) and nutrition (median increase from 80.51 to 95.38). Systolic blood pressure decreased markedly (median from 173.86 mmHg to 142.53 mmHg), indicating improved hypertension control. However, there was no significant change in diastolic blood pressure. The findings underscore the effectiveness of targeted educational interventions in enhancing health literacy and managing systolic blood pressure among the elderly. The PURABAYA program's success suggests its potential for scalability and adaptation to broader public health initiatives.

In 2019, anxiety disorders constituted a significant share of the disability adjusted life years (DALYs) lost as a result of mental disorders. This study sought to examine the gender and age-specific distribution pattern and the trends of DALYs in anxiety disorders. Using descriptive methods, the study examined the trends in the DALYs of anxiety disorders in Indonesia from 1990 to 2019. The initial step was to extract age-standardized DALYs rates (ASR) data from the Global Health Data Exchange (GHDx) covering the period from 1990 to 2019. Trend data analysis used the joinpoint regression analysis. The results indicate that DALYs rate due to anxiety were higher in women as compared to men. The highest anxiety rate in Indonesia in both 1990 and 2019 was between 25-49 years old. Anxiety rates are important to monitor for stakeholders, particularly for women and those in the reproductive age groups.
