Assessing the Relationships among Rural Organizations Working Within Decent Life Initiative in Assiut Governorate using the Graph-Theoretic Technique 利用图论技术评估阿苏特省体面生活倡议范围内的农村组织之间的关系

This research aims to: 1) list the organizations or agents working within the decent life initiative in Assiut governorate, and 2) assess the linkages between such organizations using Graph-Theoretic Technique. Data were collected (from villages of Mesara and Sao belonging to Dayrout district, Assiut Governorate) using key informants’ meetings with three key persons from each village to determine the list of organizations working within the Decent Life Initiative. Then 16 Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) were conducted to collect data from the nominated organization during the period from November to December 2023. Graph-Theoretic Technique and Microsoft Excel were used for data analysis and presentation. Results show the existence of 173 linkages out of the supposed 240 linkages and the absence of 67 linkages. The density of linkages among the studied organizations reaches 0.72. It was also found that the components Orphan Sponsorship Association (P), Abna-Masara Association (B), Legitimacy Assembly (G), AL-Rahma Association (U), and Al-Taqwa Association (T) are the dominant components, their effect on other components is much greater than others' influence on it. It could be concluded that it has considerable control over the system. On the contrary, the components of Decent life Initiative (D), The rural local unit (L), Community development association (C), Schools (S), and Heath Unit (H) are subordinate; they found to be the sink of influence since they are influenced by others more than they influences them. This finding is not surprising, because these components as service receivers are the final target of all components within the system. Interestingly, Orman Association (O) and Misr El-Kheir Foundation (M) are highly interactive with the rest of the components and is followed by Resala charity Organization (R). The work nature for the components as large-scale NGOs requires this high interaction with all system’s components to be conducting in the field activities as well as providing their charity services

Enhancement of Functional Properties of Gluten-Free Bread 提高无麸质面包的功能特性

The aim of the research to highlight the nutritional and sensory characteristics of gluten-free flat bread produced by using the different concentrations of quinoa flour. Methods: Gluten-free flatbread was prepared from different ratios of quinoa flour and rice flour. The following substitutions were used: replacing 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% of rice flour with quinoa flour. The control group was 100% rice. A sensory evaluation was conducted with 200 participants. The chemical composition of quinoa flour, rice flour, and bread mixtures was assessed. Also, the amino acid profile, minerals, vitamin E, anti-nutritional factors, and antioxidant activities of quinoa flour and rice flour were analyzed. Results: A high score of overall acceptability was detected in bread samples supplemented with 50% rice and 50% quinoa. The data showed significant differences in the percentage of proximate analysis between quinoa and rice bread mixtures. Quinoa provides all essential amino acids. Furthermore, the lowest anti-nutritional factor in rice and quinoa was phytic acid. Also, rice and quinoa flour contains the most common minerals, vitamin E was recorded in quinoa around 1.20 mg/100 grams. The total antioxidant activity of quinoa was higher than rice flour. Conclusion: Bread fortified with quinoa, rice, and their mixtures has high nutritional value due to its high content of essential amino acids, minerals, vitamins and antioxidant activity. Therefore, gluten free flat bread prepared from quinoa and rice flour has the potential for celiac disease prevention and treatment

Nanoparticles have been widely used in agriculture in the past few years. The purpose of this work was to illustrate the potential of nanocellulose (NC) at different concentrations (0, 0.3%, and 0.6%) for priming wheat to enhance seed germination under different saline concentration (0.7, 5, 10, 15, and 20 dSm -1 ) and to investigate the impacts of NC seed priming treatments on growth, root morphology, water relation, Superoxidase enzyme (SOD) and nutrient influx under salt stress. Results indicated that salt stress decreased germination percent, root length, root surface area, and water content. Moreover, increased root radius, Na influx and SOD enzyme. Seed priming with NC at 0.3% was the best treatment in improving germination percent, root length, root surface area and Na influx. While seed priming with 0.6% was the most effective treatment in decreasing SOD enzyme. Overall, the results of this study showed that applying NC as a priming seed treatment can improve wheat germination and seedling growth while shielding the plants from the damaging effects of salinity stress.

Plant Parasitic Nematodes Associated with Pomegranate (Punica granatum) and Grapes (Vitus vinifera) in District 与该地区石榴(Punica granatum)和葡萄(Vitus vinifera)有关的植物寄生线虫

Various pomegranate and grapes orchards were surveyed during the year 2022 at various localities District Swabi, the study aimed the incidence as well as identification of different genera of plant parasitic nematode (PPN). The nematodes are simple, colorless roundworms, and their bodies are un-segmented and tapering towards the head and tail, but some plant parasitic species have different body shapes, like pear, kidney, or lemon. Nematodes are small, and throughout the world, including Pakistan, important pests of crops and plants are plant parasitic nematodes. The living plant cells and tissues are fed by PPN. For investigation of PPN soil samples were collected from various localities. PPN was extracted through Baermann funnel technique from the rhizoshpere, and counted via genera. After fixation of nematodes on slides species were identified through morphological identification keys. There were many species recorded which belong to seven different genera . Helicotylenchus, Tylenchorhynchus, Meloidogyne, Longidorus, Trichodorus, Xiphinema, and Pratylenchus were found in pomegranate. Among these genera, Meloidogyne species were recorded in large population followed by Helicotylenchus in all collected samples of pomegranate. While Helicotylenchus, Filenchus, Tylenchorhynchus, Xiphinema, Tylenchus, and Pratylenchus were found in all collect samples from grapes orchards. Among all genera species of Filenchus were recorded in large numbers and the second highest species of Tylenchus genera were recorded. The rate of incidence and inhabitants are highly diverse among all surveyed localities which simply reveals the fact that studied sites are extremely infected by diverse species of PPN which eventually damage the cultivation of grapes and pomegranates.
