Immunologic alterations in the third trimester of pregnancy. 妊娠晚期的免疫改变。

In a study carried out in a group of 61 pregnant women in the 21st to the 41st week of gestation and comparatively in 9 nonpregnant controls, the following were determined: changes in the leukocyte and lymphocyte count, proportion of T cell rosettes, T1 rosettes (TM cells), T2 rosettes (TG cells), EAC rosettes (B cells), EACD rosettes (killer cells), circulating NBT-positive phagocytes, serum IgG, IgA, IgM and C3 concentrations, 50% hemolytic activity of the complement system. The results are interpreted in the light of present data regarding the mechanisms of ovo-embryo-fetal allograft.

Influence of some inhibitors and activators of fibrinolysis on transcapillary transport of macromolecules. 一些纤维蛋白溶解抑制剂和激活剂对大分子经毛细血管转运的影响。

The RISA transcapillary transport in the posterior paw was followed up under the influence of some substances inhibiting and activating fibrinolysis (Trasylol, EACA and Streptokinase and Salyrgan, respectively) in 11 dogs under narcosis with chloralose and the cannulation of the lymphatics in the popliteal space. It was found that EACA inhibits the transcapillary RISA transport and streptokinase activates it. Trasylol and Salyrgan produced no changes, the slope of the vanishing curve of the tracer being identical with that of the controls.

The digestive tract of rat after flight in the biosatellite Cosmos 1667. 宇宙1667号生物卫星飞行后的大鼠消化道。

From the histochemical investigation carried out on the digestive tract of rats after 7 days space flight in the soviet biosatellite Cosmos 1667 it resulted that neutral and acid glycoproteins diminished slightly in the sublingual gland, stomach, small intestine and the colon. Some intestinal enzymes augmented (leucineaminopeptidase, acid phosphatase, adenosinetriphosphatase and glucose-6-phosphatase). The changes observed after this flight were less marked than after an 18 day flight (in the Soviet biosatellite Cosmos 936 and 1129) and similar to those revealed after 7 days of hypokinesia. The glycoprotein changes were close to those observed after a 5-day flight (Cosmos 1514) but in which there were pregnant rats; after these last flights, the enzymes were not studied.

The ontogenetic evolution of cerebral renin and cathepsin D in the rat. 大鼠脑肾素和组织蛋白酶D的个体发生进化。

Renin and Cathepsin D activities were measured in different cerebral structures in foetuses, during the first month of life and in the adult rats. There are differences in the renin activity and cathepsin D activity both in the cerebral structures and during the ontogenetic development. While the cathepsin D was much increased in newly born animals as compared to foetuses and remained fairly constant during the rest of life, the cerebral renin activity was constantly decreasing toward adulthood. It was found that during the first two weeks after birth there is a renin activity increase in the cerebral cortex and hypothalamus, followed by a decrease and, at the end of the first month of life after birth, the values were equal to those found in adult animals. The same variations were found in the epiphysis between the 45th and 50th day after birth.

The present study has two purposes: c) to summarize our most important experimental results concerning the deuteration effects on the Ranvier node membrane as well as those obtained by others on the giant axons; ii) to reveal the significance of the macroscopic-microscopic correlations reflected in the excitation processes which underlie the ionic channel behaviour and for which deuteration has provided a new alternative of investigating the molecular mechanisms.

Histochemical changes in the digestive tract in irradiated rats. 辐照大鼠消化道组织化学变化。

Wistar rats (110-125 g) were irradiated with a single dose of 500 R. Histochemical studies were done concerning the glycoproteins (GP) of sublingual glands, gastric, small intestine and colon mucosa, and some intestinal enzymes: acid and alkaline phosphatase (ACP, ALP) leucineaminopeptidase (LAP), Mg-dependent ATP-ase, NADH-diaphorase, lactic dehydrogenase (LDH). After irradiation all these reactions were diminished, with a maximal effect between 3-5 days. This impairment is in accord with the maximal lethality in this interval after such a degree of irradiation that produced the gastrointestinal syndrome. Cocarboxylase, a radioprotector, improved these changes regarding the structures of the small intestine and also the GP of sublingual glands, stomach, small intestine and colon, demonstrating there its efficiency.

The biomolecular mechanisms of motion present certain specific asymmetrics. For instance, the head of myosin makes a rotation in the clockwise sense to achieve a connection with an actin-G molecule. The symmetrical in mirror correspondent of this asymmetry could only arise in a biological world formed by antimatter (symmetry CP). This fact indicates that the electroweak force interferes in the biomolecular mechanisms of motion.

Rheographic vascular manifestations in some rare malignant hemopathies. 一些罕见恶性血液病的血管流变学表现。

The present paper is dealing with cerebral irrigation aspects in three patients with vera polycythemia and 16 with Cooley's anaemia using the non-invasive rheoencephalographic method. The rheographic exploration was done with a 4-channel I.C.E. rheograph, being recorded on a B-channel Galileo multirecorder in parallel with the mathematical derivative of the wave and an EKG lead. The analysis of the rheographic parameter revealed that in patients with vera polycythemia there is an obvious venous stasis as well as important vasomotor tonus modifications induced by an affected blood viscosity. In patients with Cooley's anaemia, modifications in the cerebral irrigation are dominated by chronic anaemia; the latter causes chronic hypoxia of the whole body and a reduced cerebral irrigation due to a depressed cardiac volume and vasomotor tonus to the effect of hypothermia--explained through cerebral vascular self-regulation mechanisms. The investigated groups are interesting because their diseases are rare and severe; their cardiac performance was severely affected, with severe hemodynamic disturbances in the cerebral circulation, too.
