This study aims to provide baseline data about soil contamination by some heavy metals at different depths around landfills in areas at high risk of groundwater contamination. Soil samples were taken in three replicates at depth of 0 – 20 cm, 20 – 40 cm and 40 - 60 cm in the radiuses of 0 to 10 m, 10 to 20 m and 20 to 30 m around landfills. In all, 81 homogenized composite soil samples were collected. The heavy metals were measured in soil samples by atomic absorption spectrophotometer. The results show that the concentration of mercury (0.03 – 0.29 mg kg-1), cadmium (0.04 – 0.69 mg kg-1), arsenic (0.05 – 2.30 mg kg-1) and nickel (0.05 – 2.35 mg kg-1) in analyzed soil samples were lower than the limit values set by WHO, Finland and Dutch environment ministries. However, lead concentrations (90.15 – 129.14 mg kg-1) in topsoil in vicinity of landfills in Amoutivé and Akodesséwa were above reference values set by WHO, Finland and Dutch environment ministries. As the heavy metals may be leached to reach groundwater, the landfills management must be great concern to municipal authorities. The frequent monitoring of the quality of soil and groundwater will be necessary to follow the level environmental contamination by heavy metals around landfills and the possible initiate remedial measures.

Background: A Multiple drug resistance (MDR) in pathogenic bacteria has become a significant public health issue for treatment. Among bacteria, Pseudomonas is another important genus except Streptomyces and Bacillus in production of antimicrobial compounds. The current study aim to to determine the antibacterial activity and preliminary characterization of antibacterial compounds produced by Pseudomonas species such as BB1D11, BN2D41, TG1D11, TR1D41, LH1D11 and TN1D41. Method: The antibacterial activity was checked by using bio autography method as well as agar well diffusion method, against four multiple drug resistant bacteria including three Gram negative bacteria (E.coli, Acinetobacter and Pseudomonas) and one Gram positive bacterium (Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus). Isolation test showed good activity against all the four MDR bacteria, by producing clear zone of diameter from 2mm up to 20mm. Optimum temperature for growth and antibiotic production of Pseudomonas BB1D11, BN2D41, TG1D11, TR1D41, LH1D11 and TN1D41 was 37C0. It produces more metabolites when subjected to shaking incubation. In thin layer chromatography, the extracts were repeatedly inserted on a silica gel coated plate, which was run in mobile phase. Normal HPLC was perform to reveal the presence of antibacterial compounds. Results: By well diffusion assay a zone of inhibition range from 2-18 mm of diameter against different test bacteria. The components were separated, resulting in the formation of bands with different colors, each showing a different compounds. Biological screening was performed by bio autography, metabolites showed a significant activity at retention factor of 0.89. While HPLC at retention time 2.50-2.90 showed presence of significant antibacterial compounds. Conclusion: Pseudomonas BB1D11, BN2D41, TG1D11, TR1D41, LH1D11 and TN1D41 showed promising anti-microbial activity against different MDR bacteria. It is concluded that HPLC revealed the presence of DAPG at retention time 2.90 which inhibit the growth of MDR bacterial strains.

\u0000Method: The antibacterial activity was checked by using bio autography method as well as agar well diffusion method, against four multiple drug resistant bacteria including three Gram negative bacteria (E.coli, Acinetobacter and Pseudomonas) and one Gram positive bacterium (Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus). Normal HPLC was perform to reveal the presence of antibacterial compounds.\u0000Results: By well diffusion assay a zone of inhibition range from 2-18 mm of diameter against different test bacteria. The components were separated, resulting in the formation of bands with different colors, each showing a different compounds. Biological screening was performed by bio autography, metabolites showed a significant activity at retention factor of 0.89. While HPLC at retention time 2.50-2.90 showed presence of significant antibacterial compounds.\u0000Conclusion: Pseudomonas BB1D11, BN2D41, TG1D11, TR1D41, LH1D11 and TN1D41 showed promising anti-microbial activity against different MDR bacteria. It is concluded that HPLC revealed the presence of DAPG at retention time 2.90 which inhibit the growth of MDR bacterial strains.

This research and development aim to know the effectiveness of participatory-based circuit learning models, analysis, creativity, activity, demonstration and innovation to improve the ability to play tennis court, junior high school students. This research design refers to the research and development model of Borg and Gall. In general, the development measures for this research are carried out in four stages, namely: (1) the first stage is preliminary research; (2) the second stage is model development planning; (3) the third stage is validation, evaluation, and revision of the model; and (4) the fourth stage is the implementation of the model. Test the model's effectiveness using tests developed by researchers and data analysis using the formula of t test observation replay with the level of signification α = 0.05, overall data analysis using the help of the program Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) for version 23.0. The results of this study can be concluded that effective model learning circuit-based participatory, analytical, creative, active, demonstration and innovative to improve the ability to play tennis courts. Based on the effectiveness tests, they are empirically proven that the results of products in participatory-based circuit learning models, analysis, creative, active, demonstration, and innovation for junior high school have excellent effectiveness.
