A 58-year-old man diagnosed with colon cancer underwent a thoracic CT scan as part of the preoperative evaluation. A thoracic CT scan was performed as part of the pretherapeutic evaluation. The scan did not reveal any suspicious pleuro-parenchymal lesions. Additionally, we describe an incidental finding of an unusual pulmonary lobe: azygos lobe.

Background: Purple urine bag syndrome is a rare condition that may be a resource of concern for both patients and clinicians because it is a not-well-known condition. Case Presentation: We reported an unusual case of purple urine bag syndrome in a 76 -year- old male patient with multiple systemic diseases presented to our center in case of acute urinary retention for the first time. After catheterization, the color of the bag changed to purple color. Dealing with such a situation requires only the reassurance of the patient. Conclusion: Interns, urologists, and nephrologists should be known side by side with patients about this rare harmless phenomenon.

Phyllodes tumors are rare breast tumors accounting for less than 1% Unlike breast cancers where they started from ducts and glands, phyllodes tumors start in the connective tissue of the breast. They are fast growing tumors with a large spectrum of behavior and most of them are benign with resemble of fibroadenoma with small number of borderline and malignant tumors. The correct diagnosis is mostly through core needle biopsy and it is also important to decide whether surgical management has to be done. Here we had a case of 38 year-old woman having recurrent fast growing lump to her right breast with distorted nipple with irregular border. MRI showed mass lesion measuring 9.5cm×14cm×20cm at right breast with few cystic areas with subtle chest wall infiltration especially underling muscles. After diagnosed to have phyllodes tumor total mastectomy involving partially the pectorals’ major with latissimus Dorsi myocutaneous flap reconstruction was done.

Microperforate hymen is a rare anomaly which affects the quality of life and sexual activity of young women. We present a surgical technique for the treatment of microperforate hymen. We report a 30-year-old nulliparous lady who presented with vaginismus, intermenstrual bleeding and menorrhagia. Physical examination revealed a pinpoint hymenal membrane opening at 12 o’clock position. The patient underwent hymenectomy and hysteroscopy with dilatation and curettage. Two Foley catheters were used: one was inserted into the urethra, the other into the vagina via the hymenal opening. Bulb of the vaginal catheter was inflated to demarcate hymenal membrane from urethra to prevent urethra injury during the hymenectomy. A cruciate incision was made over hymen membrane. Recovery was unremarkable, and patient was able to have sexual intercourse. This case highlights the importance of performing a thorough genital examination to identify anomalies. Early surgical intervention prevents complications and improve affected women’s quality of life.

Background: Perforated peptic ulcer disease is one of the emergency surgical conditions of peptic ulcer complications with high mortality and morbidity. Although this emergency condition is prevalent in the study areas it is the first study that showed its magnitude and management outcome. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the outcome and factors associated with perforated peptic ulcer disease. Methodology: A cross-sectional study design was used. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 25 and binary logistic regression was used to see factors associated with outcomes. P value ≤0.05 was considered significant. Result: A total of 95 patients were studied. Males outnumbered females by a ratio of 8.5:1. The mean and median age of patients was 31.74±13.83 and 27 years respectively. Most perforations were located on the first part of the duodenum (78, 76.5%). Most patients (90, 88.2%) had Graham’s omental patch repair. There were fifty-six post-operative complications recorded in 20 (21.1%) patients. Superficial surgical site infection (10.5%), wound dehiscence (9.5%), respiratory infections (20.1%), sepsis (17.9%), acute kidney injury (12.6%), and ECF (1.1%) were the complications recorded. Co-morbidity [AOR: 19.46 (2.39-158.39)] and SBP<90mmHg [AOR: 5.76 (1.74-19.18)] were significantly associated with post-operative complications. The mortality rate was 5.3% (95% CI: 1.7% to 11.9%) and only co-morbidity [AOR: 10.85 (7.64, 15.40)] was stastically associated with mortality. Conclusion: The mortality rate of this study was low as compared with the majority of studies done the country and the region.

The people of the United States territories have faced healthcare inequalities for years due to ongoing, complex issues with their public health infrastructure. During the 2009 influenza pandemic, the U.S. territories faced several dilemmas such as insufficient funding, a lack of laboratory equipment, personal protective equipment, and surveillance to predict the spread of the disease, due to the ongoing health disparities and complications with their public health infrastructure (Dopson, 2016). These patterns have also been seen during the COVID-19 pandemic in addition to new dilemmas such as damaged physical public health infrastructure. The objective of this research was to compare and contrast the effects of COVID-19 in the U.S. territories to the U.S. while examining the social and cultural conditions of these territories. A descriptive analysis of data on covid mortality rates and vaccination rates has been completed showing that disparities did occur throughout the pandemic. These dependent variables were explored for all of the U.S. territories and thoroughly compared to one another to make a descriptive assessment of the vaccination and mortality outcomes. Relevant social and cultural conditions were examined as well (i.e. effects on infrastructure from natural disasters, and policies in place during the pandemic). Conclusions about these outcomes within the territories have allowed us to recognize distinct patterns from the latest data available. There are differences in how these disparities occur in the U.S. territories and how COVID-19 has affected them. Through this study, there have been new themes seen throughout the pandemic such as a sense of community and support, geographic isolation, and politics that may have contributed to the vaccination rates and mortality rates seen in these territories. The implications of this study push for future research to be completed as casual analyses were not completed and should be looked at moving forward.

Purpose: to visualize complication of antineoplastic /immunotherapy treatment. Immunotherapy treatment can affect all organs and types of tissues, with manifestations that may appear acute or after prolonged treatment. Recognizing the side effects it is important, it may have a big impact in the treatment itself but also save the patient’s life, certain conditions can be life threatening (for example, pneumonitis). Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) are widely used for the treatment of malignant neoplasms. Interstitial lung disease is a well-known immune-related adverse event, however, ICI-induced airway disease remains under-recognized [1].

Background: Intrauterine Device (IUD) Multiload 375 is a method of contraception widely used worldwide. One of the rare complications is that the IUD punctures the uterus and moves into the bladder. Common manifestations are recurrent urinary tract infections and bladder stones. A long-term and neglected IUD increases the risk of uterine perforation and migration to other organs. Diagnosis: Clinical history, Cystoscopy, Transvaginal Ultrasound (US) or Computed Tomography helps confirm the diagnosis. Case Report: We report successful surgical treatment of a 39-year-old woman who neglected to insert a Multiload 375 IUD for 16 years, but still experienced 2 subsequent vaginal deliveries and eventually developed UTI. Bladder stone formation caused by the passage of the Multiload 375 intrauterine device through the bladder. Conclusions: Urologists should consider bladder foreign bodies as a displaced IUD in women with recurrent lower urinary tract infections or bladder stones, with a history of IUD use. The moving IUD needs to be removed through cystoscopy, laparoscopy, or open surgery. Proper monitoring and education for women’s health before and after IUD insertion helps to detect complications in a timely manner.

Mammalian hair is a protein filament that develops from follicles in the skin. The hair follicles generate a protein called keratin, which is the primary component of hair. Both men and women commonly experience hair loss, which can cause from lots of reasons such as aging, patterned hair loss, stress, illness, pregnancy in women, iron deficiency and autoimmune reactions. It is estimated that 50% of men and 15–30% of women suffer from hair loss and its accompanying psychological burden. Also, air pollution due to changing environmental conditions also affects hair health and can cause hair loss. In this study it was aimed to investigate the efficacy of a new hair serum by measuring hair density and hair thickness by using Aramo SG® ASG 200F. Hair serum consisting of NX35growthTM molecules was tested on 51 participants. 48 women and 3 men aged between 26-59 participated in this study and it was considered that participants have different hair types like normal, dry and greasy. Participants applied the formulation to the scalp once a day to get the results properly. In the first, 28th and 56th days of the study measurements were carried out and results were obtained. As a result, the measurements presented on the 28th and 56th days of the participants who used the hair serum regularly showed that the hair serum containing the NX35growthtm molecule increased the hair density, hair volume and hair thickness in all hair types.

A woman in her 70s presented four months after receiving a kidney transplant with fever, epigastric discomfort and loss of appetite. She had experienced antibody-mediated rejection ten days after transplantation, successfully treated with high doses of intravenous corticosteroids, plasma exchanges and rituximab. Two months earlier, neutropenia had led to the discontinuation of valganciclovir prophylaxis, administered in the context of a CMV-seropositive donor/seronegative recipient status. Her immunosuppressive therapy included tacrolimus, mycophenolate mofetil and corticosteroids.
