Corn Substitution By Using Cassapro (Cassava Protein) On Kampung Chicken Carcass 用木薯蛋白替代甘榜鸡胴体上的玉米

This research aimed to determine the ability of cassapro to substitute corn in feed onkampung chicken carcass. Experimental design used was completely randomized design (CRD) with5 treatments and 4 replications. Each treatment consists of cassapro P0 (0%) P1(10%) P2(20%)P3(30%) P4(40%). 100 kampung chicken was used this research.The results showed that there were no signifiant effect on cut weight, carcass weight and percentageof carcass due to the administration of cassapro. However, there was a tendency that feed rations P2(40% corn and 20% cassapro) showed good result.
本研究旨在确定木薯在甘蓬鸡胴体饲料中替代玉米的能力。试验设计采用完全随机设计(CRD), 5个处理,4个重复。每个处理由cassapro P0 (0%) P1(10%) P2(20%)P3(30%) P4(40%)组成。本研究选用100只甘榜鸡。结果表明,施用木薯粉对肉牛的切重、胴体重和胴体率均无显著影响。而P2饲粮(40%玉米+ 20%木薯)有较好的效果。

The Potential of Giving Silage Feed Based on Corn Plant Waste (Zea mays) Using Local Microorganisms (Indigenous Microorganism) Against the Percentage of Non-Carcass on Local Sheep 利用本地微生物(土生微生物)饲喂玉米废料青贮饲料与本地绵羊非屠体率的对比研究

This study aims to examine the effect of complete corn waste based on silagefeed on the percentage of non carcasses on local sheep. The study was conducted at theLaboratory of Animal Biology at the University of North Sumatra in May - August2018. The design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatmentsand 3 replications using sheep with an average initial weight of 11.2 ± 0.4 kg. Thetreatments consisted of four levels of complete silage feed based on corn waste P1(20%), P2 (40%), P3 (60%), and P4 (80%).The parameters observed were: weight,head, foot, skin, tail, trachea and lungs, liver, heart, blood, and digestive tract.Theresults showed that complete feed based corn waste silage did not have a significanteffect (P> 0.05) on the percentage of non-carcass weight such as skin, tail, trachea andlungs, blood and digestive tract, but gave a non-significant effect on the percentage noncarcass weights such as head, feet, heart and liver. The conclusion of complete feedsilage based on corn waste can have a significant influence on the internal non carcass(liver and heart) and external (head and foot) parts of male local sheep. In addition itgives a non significant influence on the non-internal carcass parts (trachea and lungs,blood and digestion) and the external (skin and tail) of male local sheep.

The Activity Of Cellulose Enzyme From Indigenous Bacteria "Bacillus Sp YLB1" As Bioactivator 原生细菌芽孢杆菌Sp YLB1纤维素酶活性研究

This study aims to test the activity of cellulase enzyme (CMCase) fromindigenous bacteria "Bacillus Sp YLB1" as bioactivator of palm oil based feed. Thetreatment consists of various combinations of substart, namely: P1 = 80% palm leaves +10% palm kernel cake + 10% sludge; P2 = 60% palm leaves + 20% palm kernel cake +20% sludge and P3 = 60% palm leaves + 30% palm kernel cake+ 30% sludge. The parameters observed were cellulase enzyme activity (CMCase) onvarious combinations of palm oil waste and fermentation time. The results showed thatcellulase enzyme (CMCase) production of Bacillus sp YLB1 bacteria during fermentationfluctuated ie 0.143 Units / ml; 0.372 Units / ml; 0.588 Units / ml; 1.013 Units / ml; 0.906Units / ml; 1,065 Units / ml and 1,198 Units / ml.The activity of cellulase enzyme(CMCase) on substrate P1 is lower than P2 and P3. As conclutions that cellulase enzymeactivity of Bacillus sp YLB1 influenced by the combination of substrate and fermentationtime. The P3 fermented with Bacillus sp YLB1 for 7 days gave a more optimal result thanthe other treatments

Microbial Effects from Biogas Slurry Application on Growing Phase of Turi (Sesbania grandiflora) 沼液施用对大田葵生长期微生物效应的影响

This research was conducted in Samosir Island, North Sumatera Province, Indonesiawhich has Inceptisol soil. As this type of soil is generally unfertile, since hundreds years ago,local people added ruminant faeces before planting. This research objective was to prove thatapplication of biogas slurry on growing phase of Turi (Sesbania grandiflora) plant improvedmicrobial population on soil thus plant quality. This research was conducted from May untilSeptember 2018. Research design was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) withtreatments slurry dosages which were P0: without slurry, P1: 10/ha/year and P2: 20/ha/year.Parameters were chemical composition of slurry, microbial type and population, plant height,total leaf, stem diameter, number of branch and leaf size. The results showed that P0 had nosignificant effect on every parameters while P1 and P2 improved microbial type andpopulation, plant height, total leaf, stem diameter, number of branch and leaf size (P <0.05).There was an increasing of microbial population in line with the increasing of slurry dosage.P2 contained the highest population of bacteria or fungal (F <0.05) compared to P0 or P1.

The Use of Fermented Cocoa Pod in Feed on Performance and Income Over Feed Cost (IOFC) of Male Local Sheep 发酵可可豆荚在饲料中的使用对地方公羊生产性能和收入比的影响

Cocoa pod is one of the cocoa processing wastes which can be used as animal feed.The study aims to find the use of cocoa pod which fermented by bioactivator (MOIYL) in feedon performance and IOFC of male local sheep. The research was conducted at Pak Didit's farmJl. Bunga Rinte, Simpang Selayang, Medan, in October - December 2018 using completelyrandomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The experiment used 20 ofmale local sheep weaning with initial body weight of 12.65 ± 1 kg. The treatment such as P0(80% field grass + 20% concentrate), P1 (60% field grass + 20% fermented cocoa pod + 20%concentrate), P2 (40% field grass + 40% fermented cocoa pod + 20% concentrate), P3 (20%field grass + 60% fermented cocoa pod + 20% concentrate), P4 (80% fermented cocoa pod +concentrate 20%). The observed of are feeds consumption, average daily gain, feed conversionratio (FCR), and income over feed cost (IOFC).The results of this research indicated that utilization of fermented cocoa pod in feed improvedthe performance of male local sheep with the average consumption of sheep feed (g/head/day):421.62; 422.60; 524.43; 452.83 and 368.56, average daily gain (g/head/day): 59.95; 60.75;84.19; 67.76 and 40.57, and ration conversion: 7.06; 7.17; 6.43; 6.68 and 9.11 and averageIncome Over Feed Cost (IOFC):141.123,8; 142.837,9; 201.301,0; 159.568,4 and 89.273,7. Theconclusion of this study is that the use of cacao pods fermented with 5% MOIYL in ration ofmale local weaning can be given to the level of 40%.

Comparison of Broiler Chicken Behavioral Response in Differing Closed House Length throughout the Dry Season 旱季不同封闭鸡舍长度肉鸡行为反应的比较

his study aims at comparing the behavioral response of broiler chickens maintainedat different closed house length in the dry season. 600 broiler chickens with an average weightof 41.30 ± 2.68 g and two closed house units, each with a length of 60 m and 120 m having acapacity of 11,000 and 22,000 were used. Heat production is represented through eating,walking, and stretching behaviors. This research observed drinking and resting behaviors of thechickens. This is descriptive research conducted in the starter period (14 days old) of thechickens. The results show that the resting and stretching behaviors of chickens residing in the120 m closed house are higher than those in the 60 m closed house; no difference is observedin drinking behaviors. The average frequency and duration of walking and eating of chickensresiding in the 120 m closed house are lower than those in the 60 m closed house indicatingthat broilers reduce the frequency and duration of walking and eating. The findings show thatchickens raised in longer cages will show behavioral responses representing an increase of heatloss and a reduction of heat production.

Analysis of the Factors that Influence the Mud Farmer Income in Sorkam Barat Subdistrict,Tapanuli Tengah District 影响达巴努里登加区索坎巴拉特街道泥农收入的因素分析

Buffalo cattle are one of the commodities that function as a source of animal protein for the community, as savings, additional income, as labor and manure can be used as fertilizer while providing a source of profit / income for farmers.The purpose of the study was to determine the income of mud buffalo farmers and the factors that influence income in the West Sorkam District, Tapanuli Tengah District. The study was conducted in May-August 2018 using primary data. The method used in data collection is interviewing respondents with the Census Method and analyzed with Multiple Linear Regression using SPSS 16 application tools. The results showed that the income of mud buffalo farmers in West Sorkam District was influenced simultaneously by the business scale, breeders' age, farmer experience, the number of family and labor dependents with R square valued at 0.986 (98%). The results of the study showed that the business scale and the number of workers gave a significant influence (P <0.05) on the income of mud buffalo farmers. The income of buffalo farmers in West SorkamSubdistrict is diverse, with the smallest income being Rp. 370,000/ year with a scale of 2 cattle and the largest is Rp. 68,805,000/ year with a livestock business scale of 47 tails.

Rabbits are livestock that can be used as a source of animal protein and have the potential to have meet national meat needs. Further development is needed whit good quality feed and affordable prices. The study aimed to evaluate feed containing corn cobs which were fermented by MOIYL against carcasses in local rabbits. The study was conducted in Bandar Klippa Deli Serdang Village, North Sumatra Province, in January - March 2018. This study used 20 local rabbits with initial weights of 404.4 ± 9.14 grams and experimental designs using a completely randomized design (CDR), which consisted from 4 treatments and five replications. The treatment consisted of P0 = unfermented ration, P1 = 10%, P2 = 20%, and P3 = 30%. The variables measured were cut weight, carcass weight, and carcass percentage. The results showed that corn cobs fermentation with probiotics MOIYL had a significant effect (P <0.01) and not significant (P> 0.05), increasing corn cobs fermented by MOIYL to a level of 30% increasing slaughter weight and carcass weight, but does not increase the percentage of carcass.

Isolation and Characteristics of Corn-Based Cellulolytic Fungi as Fibrous Feed Bioactivators 玉米纤维素水解真菌作为纤维饲料生物活化剂的分离与特性研究

Microbes live in nature freely in water, air, or soil. One type of microbe is fungi. Fungi are microorganisms that are able to degrade fiber. This study aims to isolate fungi from corn waste and test the degradation ability of the best corn waste fungi fiber as a fibrous feed bioactivator. This research was carried out at the Laboratory of Animal Production, Faculty of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry Study Program, University of North Sumatra, in March 2018 - June 2018. This study used corn waste (corn cobs, corn straw, corn husk, corn flowers and corn roots). Parameters observed were macroscopic morphology (colony size, colony shape, clony color, colony elevation, colony edge), microscopic morphology (form of hyphae, conidial shape, and conidiophoric surface) and the ability to degrade fiber in fungi. Conclusions from the results of research on corn waste exploration obtained 6 fungi isolates, 4 of which were cellulolytic fungi that were able to degrade fibrous feed, namely two strains of Aspergillus sp., Fusarium sp., And Rizoctonia sp. Isolates which have a potential to degrade fiber are JE isolates (Rizoctonia sp. fungi) with a cellulolytic index of 1,178.

Chicken meat is one of the livestock commodities that can meet the protein needs of the community, but there are constraints on the price side. The price of free-range chicken meat tends to fluctuate due to production and demand imbalances and has an impact on price increases. Therefore, there needs to be control so that price increases that occur in free-range chicken meat do not jump sharply The purpose of the study was to determine the factors that influence the amount of freerange chicken meat’s consumption in Langkat Regency. The study was conducted in June - August 2018. The method that used in sampling was the proportionate stratified random sampling method and used the Slovin formula. Primary data collection was carried out by interview techniques using questionnaires to respondents and secondary data collection was obtained from the agencies and agencies assembled and then analyzed with Multiple Linear Regression using SPSS 22 application. The results showed the amount of free-range chicken meat’s consumption in Langkat Regency was influenced partially by income and the number of family members with R² = 0.61.
