Organizing extracurricular activities during the time of studying Defense and Security Education at the Training Center shows that the student's awareness of the importance of these activities is not high enough and they have not become an essential need for the students. The construction of extracurricular activities in each course has not been truly diverse, and the conditions of facilities, materials, and space for extracurricular activities have not met the requirements and the number of students. Therefore, when studying at the Training Center, students do not have many extracurricular activities to improve and develop their skills to meet the requirements of comprehensive development. Based on survey results and actual research, it is proposed that necessary measures be taken to improve the effectiveness of organizing extracurricular activities for students through the Defense and Security Education course, helping students have the opportunity to develop physical fitness, communication skills, and survival skills in new conditions towards the goal of comprehensive development contributing to training high-quality human resources in the future.

Quality education management is a scientific practice encompassing administration and training across all educational levels. It is widely adopted in national academies and schools today, holding a crucial role in enhancing education quality. National Defense and Security Education Centers, part of higher education institutions, specialize in training and nurturing defense and security knowledge. These centers face unique challenges due to their large annual cohorts engaged in round-the-clock activities, studies, and training. As a result, education quality management is organized and implemented using suitable methods, receiving focused attention and guidance from center leadership. Sociological investigations indicate that 100% of these centers acknowledge the significant role of education quality management, with a strong impact on outcomes and training quality. Similarly, 100% of management staff and instructors believe in the positive effects of education quality management on enhancing training quality. Despite recognizing the importance of education quality management, practical implementation within National Defense and Security Education Centers reveals several limitations. Inadequate management tools, a predominant focus on learners' academic outcomes, and challenges related to input-output control and certification affect training quality. Hence, continuous research and innovative management approaches are essential for these centers to truly achieve desired education quality, contributing to the successful completion of their mission.

Cooperation competency is not only one of the many vital capabilities for people living in the modern day society, but also assists the formulation of an energetic, creative, communicative and adaptive personality. There has been ample evidence on the fact that studying with continuous cooperative work can promote the growth of working skills, which in turn creates opportunities for mutual learning and the discovery of personal abilities. Furthermore, cooperation also helps enhance the sense of responsibility, autonomy and social activeness. Through group work, people can take advantage of their strength in numbers to resolve complicated matters and achieve significant results. This proves the essential role of cooperation competency in creating an all-round personality and developing such traits in the contemporary society - this is the basis for academic achievement. This article defines the framework of students’ cooperation competency in learning National Defense and Security (NDS), investigates the ongoing situation of teaching National Defense Path of the Vietnamese Communist Party (VCP) and suggests several solutions to further boost this characteristic while studying these subjects in accordance with current requirements on reforming the education system of Vietnam.

Literature review procedures are currently regarded as research approaches that play an essential part in research and scientific publication. However, virtually all junior researchers lack a thorough comprehension of the literature review process, which results in missing, insufficient evidence, or a concentration on specific research concerns. It is one of the major causes of research and scientific publishing failures. Furthermore, study findings and publications on this issue are still fragmented, with particularly limited publications in Vietnamese of literature review research methodologies to advise undertaking research. This article investigated many types of literature review methods and suggested a basic procedure for performing an overview study as well as particular instructions for each approach. The research findings provide a systematic guideline to assist researchers in understanding the review process and using it to improve the quality of scientific research in the Vietnamese context.
