In this study, the concept of anxiety in art has been tried to be revealed in terms of sustainability. In this context, the subject of the research is the works of artists within the scope of anxiety and sustainability. The works of artists, who convey their responsibility and sensitivity for a livable world through the concept of sustainability, are examined in this context. The concept of anxiety and sustainability are explained through the works of artists Joseph Beuys, Alper Aydın, Bingy, Elmas Deniz, Mario Merz, Maro Michalakakos, Yoko Ono, Camila Rocha and Jason deCaires Taylor.

In the current work, nano boron nitride (BN) reinforced aluminum (Al) matrix composites with different BN amounts (0.5-2wt.%) were produced by the powder metallurgy(PM) route. This fabrication method consists of dispersing, filtering, mixing, drying, compaction, and sintering processes. The density, compressive strength, micro Vickers hardness, microstructure, and phase structures of Al-BN composites and pure Al were examined. The obtained results indicated that minimum porosity (3.2%), highest density (~2.61g/cm3), Vickers hardness (~50HV), and compressive strength (~168MPa) were obtained at 1%BN reinforced aluminum matrix composite. A tremendous enhancement in Vickers hardness and compressive strength of %1BN reinforced Al matrix composite was achieved as ~61% and ~110% compared to pure Al. Consequently, the mechanical strength of BN reinforced Al-based composites enhanced up to 1% nano boron nitride amount. Due to the clumping of BN nanoparticles, the mechanical strength decreased after this content.

This study was carried out to determine some metric and meristic characteristics of the Cyprinus carpio population captured from Özlüce Dam Lake at different times. For this purpose, the average, maximum, minimum, standard deviation, standard error and the coefficients of variation of 47 metric measurements and their ratio to each other belong to 60 scale and mirror carp samples captured from the dam lake are calculated. At the same time, 8 meristic features (the number of scales in the lateral line, the number of transversal scales, the number of spines in the first gill arch, the row and number of pharyngeal teeth and the number of simple and soft rays in the dorsal, ventral, pectoral and anal fins) were examined.

Epilepsy is a disease occurring because of extreme activation of nervous system. Increased glutamate and Ca++ in brain is another reason of epilepsy. In this study, we investigated the effects of ATP sensitive potassium channel (KATP) agonists and antagonists on penicillin induced epileptiform activity in male wistar albino rats. Rats were divided three experimental main groups; (1) Control, (2) Before seizures (BS) groups, (3) During seizure (DS) groups. DS and BS groups are divided into four subgroups; (a)5HD, (b)HMR1098, (c)Bepridil (d)P 1075. Bepridil and p1075, reduce the number of spike-waves, while the effect of Bepridil appears to have a similar effect when administered both during and before the seizure. HMR1098 and 5-HD both increased the seizures both when administered before or during the seizure, different from the other studies. When K ATP channel agonists are administered before and during the seizure, they reduce the seizures, while antagonists increase the seizure.

Vertical farming is a technological farming method that allows to grow crops without the need for large fields, soil and climatic cycles as in traditional agriculture. This method is becoming increasingly important due to the fact that water, pesticides, fertilizers, labor, equipment, energy and transportation costs are low, efficiency and quality are high, livestock can be carried out simultaneously, it improves the architecture and air of the city, and it will increase the interest and contribution of the city people to agriculture. Since it is predicted that the world population will be 10 billion in 2050, the ecological balance will deteriorate further and fertile land areas will rapidly decrease due to global warming, many countries have started to actively apply this agricultural method. Although the initial investment costs are high, this agricultural practice, which has high sustainability in terms of its contribution to the economy, ecology and social integration in the long term, will be the most important agricultural industry of the future. For this method, which is important in terms of sustainable agriculture, arrangements should be made in state policies and legal issues, financial resources should be allocated in our country, and the participation of academics, private sector, municipalities, farmers and urban society in the process should be ensured.

Antimicrobials are substances or mixtures of substances used to destroy or suppress the growth of harmful microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, or fungi on inanimate objects and surfaces. In this study, an alternative method is presented using triclosan agents that can kill bacteria and viruses to help keep patient, operating, and emergency rooms free of germs. Samples were treated with triclosan to achieve antimicrobial/antiviral/antifungal properties for further designs to help comfort and bacteria, virus, fungi (BVF) resistantance during use. The physical, and mechanical properties of triclosan treated cotton and cotton/elastane fabrics in comparison with untreated control samples was investigated. The results showed that a small significant decrease was observed for tensile strength (strip and grab methods), tear strength and seam strength. Besides, statistically a small significant decrease was observed with the increase in triclosan concentration for all samples. The panama weaves showed the lowest tensile strength and the highest tear strength and statistically small significant decrease was observed for all treated samples. The antimicrobial tests showed that all treated samples have a very good antimicrobial activity which can also lead to antivirus protection by providing hygienic environment for the users during future designs.
