Voltage Oriented Control of an Innovative Bidirectional 3 kV Railway electric substation using Parallel Three-Level NPC Converters 新型并联三电平NPC变流器双向3kv铁路变电站电压定向控制

Italian railway system is based on 3 kV DC voltage and it is connected to the AC grid through electric substation which are realized with diode rectifier. This configuration does not allow power reversible operation and regenerative braking is not possible with a consequent waste of electric energy which is dissipated on braking rheostats. The present paper proposes a bidirectional electric substation configuration based on NPC parallel connected converter. A control strategy is proposed and simulation results are presented.

Active Rectification for the Optimal Control of Bidirectional Resonant Wireless Power Transfer 双向谐振无线电力传输的主动整流优化控制

In this paper, a method resorting to an active rectification for the optimal control of a bidirectional resonant wireless power transfer system is proposed. Benefiting from a dual active bridge topology, the real and the imaginary parts of the equivalent load impedance can be modulated simultaneously and independently, without requiring any additional power converter. Hence, the proposed method - based on a first harmonic analysis (FHA) - has shown its capacity to achieve the system maximum efficiency and to furnish the required power on an open-loop test-case despite variations in the windings mutual inductance and mistuned resonant capacitors. By extension, the proposed method is able to counter any change in the circuit parameters to some extent. Finally, a time-domain analysis (TDA) is performed for discussing on controllability restrictions associated with the considered full-bridge converters, whereas demonstrating the quasi-equivalence between TDA and FHA results.

Real Time Simulation of Mismatched PV Arrays 不匹配光伏阵列的实时仿真

Some accurate and computationally efficient models of mismatched photovoltaic arrays have been recently published in literature. They allow, at different level of detail and by referring to some possible topologies of the array, to simulate the photovoltaic generator that is subjected to partial shadowing phenomena. The computational and accuracy performance of these approaches has been widely documented in literature. This paper is focused on the analysis of the potential use of one of these methods in real time simulation and hardware in the loop applications. The implementation on a DSP platform is documented and the performance is evaluated through suitable examples.

Fractional Slot Windings with a Coil Span of Two Slots and Less Content of Low Order Harmonics 线圈跨度为两个槽且低次谐波含量较少的分数槽绕组

Fractional slot windings with a winding step of two slots can bridge the gap between classical distributed windings and fractional slot concentrated windings. Even though the harmonic content of such windings is lower than that one of fractional slot concentrated windings, harmonics with a small ordinal number compared to the pole pair number can still be annoying. This paper presents a method for the design of windings with reduced low order harmonic content. First it gives a short review on three-phase windings with a coil span of two slots. Thereafter it shows how an appropriate choice of another winding number for some coils or some swaps in the assignment of coils to phases can lower disturbing harmonics of low order. The design procedure uses the star of slots. It is applicable also to multiphase machines: a five-phase machine serves as example.

The ACO-NM algorithm for controller tuning for an inverted cart-pendulum 倒立小车摆控制器整定的ACO-NM算法

The control of a cart-pendulum system consists to swing the pendulum up and to maintain it in its upright position. In many publications, one controller is used for the swing-up action and one for the stabilization mode. Both controllers are usually tuned separately and frequently by trial-and-error, as is the handling of system constraints. This paper proposes the simplified Ant Colony Optimization algorithm combined to a constrained Nelder-Mead method (ACO-NM) for cart-pendulum control structure tuning. A new cost function is proposed to manage cart-rail length. Simulation and experimental results confirm the efficiency of the ACO-NM algorithm to optimize the control structure for four cart-pendulum parameter sets.

Ant Lion Approach Based on Lozi Map for Multiobjective Transformer Design Optimization 基于Lozi映射的蚂蚁狮子法多目标变压器设计优化

Metaheuristic algorithm is a generic computational approach aiming at efficiently solving optimization problems, mainly global optimization problems. The No Free Lunch theorem states that no single algorithm can perform well on every optimization problem, encouraging the development of new optimization metaheuristics. Ant lion optimizer (ALO) is a nature inspired stochastic metaheuristic algorithm which mimics the hunting behavior of ant lions in nature using steps of hunting prey such as the random walk of ants, building traps, entrapment of ants in traps, catching preys, and re-building traps. In this paper, an ALO approach is adapted to multiobjective optimization (MOALO) using external archiving and ranking with crowding distance. Furthermore, a MOALO version with the control parameter setup based on Lozi map with chaotic dynamical behavior is also proposed to solve a Transformer Design Optimization (TDO) problem with two competing objectives. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithms is demonstrated by the simulations applied to a TDO problem.

Modeling and control of Double Star PMSG connected to standalone DC network 连接独立直流网络的双星PMSG的建模与控制

This paper deals with modeling and control of double star smooth poles permanent magnet synchronous generator-PWM rectifiers set connected to standalone DC network. Firstly various dynamical model of DS-PMSG are recalled. Secondly the control of the energy conversion chain is investigated. The structure on the control has two loops. The inner loop is dedicated to controlling the power. It consists in controlling the currents in the reference dq and the non-sequential currents while minimizing the copper losses. The outer loop is dedicated to the DC bus voltage. Finally the shown and discussed simulation results highlight the effectiveness of the control strategy and design.

Darrieus Wind Turbine Prototype Control Study Darrieus风力涡轮机原型控制研究

This paper focuses on control of a Darrieus vertical axis wind turbine prototype. Throughout this work a control strategy is proposed and a methodology is presented in order to achieve a solid foundation for the control process. A non linear dynamic model of the Darrieus prototype equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous generator was developed. The model was linearized and some controllers are developed, namely a PID controller and a Linear Quadratic Regulator. The controllers were tested in the linear and non linear models.

Phasor estimation is an essential task in power system since the voltage angle and voltage RMS determine the available active power and its flow. This paper proposes fast and simple algorithm for harmonic phasor estimation in a three-phase system. Harmonics are considered the most serious power quality (PQ) problem in the emerging scenario with a growing proportion of power electronic based devices in the power system. The algorithm is based on well-known mathematical transform and recommendations given in relevant IEC and IEEE standards. The presented algorithm can be used to generate input data for Harmonic State Estimation.

Sliding Mode Rotational Speed Control of an Oscillating Water Column-based Wave Generation Power Plants 振荡水柱式波浪发电装置的滑模转速控制

This paper deals with the modeling and control of the NEREIDA wave generation power plant installed in Mutriku, Spain. This kind of Oscillating Water Column (OWC) plants usually employ a Wells turbine coupled to a Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG). The stalling behavior of the Wells turbine limits the generated power. In this context, a sliding mode rotational speed control is proposed to help avoiding this phenomenon. This will regulate the speed by means of the Rotor Side Converter (RSC) of the Back-to-Back converter governing the generator. The results of the comparative study show that the proposed control provides a higher generated power compared to the uncontrolled case.
