In silico analysis of fluoride transport proteins from prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms 原核生物和真核生物氟化物转运蛋白的硅分析

In silico analysis of Fluoride transporter proteins obtained from database are presented in this study. The composition of alanine and glycine was high while low concentrations of aspartic acid, cysteine and glutamine were seen when compared to other aminoacids. Molecular weight of fungal transporters was the highest while the bacterial showed relatively less molecular weights. The instability index of all the proteins was less than 40 showing that all of them are stable except that of Neurospora and Bifidobacterium. Aliphatic index was found to be within a range of 65 to 100.

Phytochemical, antimicrobial and nutritional properties of Morinda lucida benth and Nauclea latifolia leaf extracts 桑葚叶和核桃叶提取物的植物化学、抗菌和营养特性

The leaves of two medicinal plants namely; Morinda lucida and Nauclea latifolia were investigated for their antibacterial, mineral and phytochemical properties. Results of the study showed that the aqueous and ethanolic extract of the two leaves had significant antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli , Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa , Listeria monocytogenes and Proteus mirabilis. The biologically active constituents present in the extracts were cardiac glycosides, tannins, saponin, coumarins, reducing sugar, terpenoids, alkaloids, steroids and flavonoids. The percentage yield extracts of the respective plants were Morinda lucida leaves 12.9% for ethanol and 9.0% for aqueous extracts while Nauclea latifolia had 12.1% for ethanol and 8.4% for aqueous extracts. Results of the antibacterial activity analysis revealed that the ethanolic extracts of the two medicinal plants at different concentrations were more active against the test organisms named above than the aqueous extracts. The MIC values for the ethanolic extracts ranged between 25.0 and 100.0 mg/ml while that of aqueous extract ranged between 50.0 and 100.0 mg/ml. The MBC values for ethanolic extract ranged between 50.0 and 100mg/ml while that of aqueous extracts also ranged between 50.0 and 100mg/ml. Analysis of the mineral content of the plant leaves shows that they were rich in potassium and calcium. This study confirms that the leaf extracts have some reasonable level of antimicrobial activity and appreciable amounts of mineral content which could be beneficial to human health. The findings from this work can be further exploited for isolation and characterization of novel Phytochemical compounds which could be used in the treatment of infectious diseases especially in light of the emergence of drug-resistant microorganisms and the need to produce new effective antimicrobial agents.

Distribution of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in some selected tubers grown in farmlands in Alakahia and Eleme communities, Rivers, Nigeria 尼日利亚河流地区Alakahia和Eleme社区农田种植的部分块茎中多环芳烃的分布

The present study investigated the level of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) in three commonly consumed tubers grown in farmlands in two communities- Alakahia and Eleme, Rivers state, Nigeria. The total PAH concentrations in the tubers ranged from 2.94 ± 0.26 to 70.83 ± 1.56 -µg/kg. Pyrene was the predominant PAH in most of the tuber samples from Alakahia and Eleme communities. The PAH profile in the tuber samples were dissimilar at both communities when compared. The Low molecular weight PAH to High molecular weight PAH ratio (LMW-PAH/HMW-PAH) showed that the high molecular PAH were predominant in the tubers thus suggesting that the source of PAH in the tubers are of pyrogenic origin.

Distribution and conservation status of fishes reported from muntjibpur pond of Allahabad (U.P.) 阿拉哈巴德muntjibpur池塘鱼类分布及保护现状

Muntjibpur pond was studied to find out the conservation status of the fishes naturally occurring in it. The survey was conducted from July 2014 to June 2015. During exploration, a total of 13 species of fishes belonging to 12 genera, 8 families and 5 orders were identified. As per latest version of IUCN Red List, out of 13 species of fishes identified, 1 species comes under UV (vulnerable), 1 under NT (near threatened), 8 under LC (least concern) and 3 species are NE (not evaluated) so far. No fish species identified here comes under EN (endangered) category.

Bioreduction of silver nanoparticles characterizations and their antimicrobial activity 生物还原纳米银的表征及其抗菌活性

In this investigation we report the bioreduction of silver nitrate to silver nanoparticles using the leaves aqueous extract of Alangium lamarckii. The silver nanoparticles were characterized by UV–vis spectrophotometer, scanning electron microscope (SEM), DLS-Size and zeta potential analysis showed that the synthesized silver nanoparticles are varied from 60 - 70 nm and have the spherical shape. Further the prospect of protein as a stabilizing material in silver nanoparticles is shown by FTIR analysis and the XRD examination confirms monocrystalline phase of silver with FCC crystal structure. The antimicrobial activity of Ag nanoparticles was investigated against some pathogens. In these assessments, silver nanoparticles (AgNP) can stop microbial growth and even kill microbes, from now confirmed their antimicrobial importance.

Herbal derived nanomedicines against for some human pathogens 草药衍生的纳米药物对某些人类病原体具有抗作用

The aim of this study was to achieve the silver nanocrystals for therapeutic values. The Aristolochia bractiata leaves extract as a reducing substance for the biosynthesis of silver nanoparticles. UV-Vis spectra analysis, Dynamic Light Scattering Particle size analyzer, X-ray Diffraction method and Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) have been employed to characterize and confirmed the nanocrystal formation. In antimicrobial activity, the silver nanoparticles were most against some human pathogens. In bacteria, the test sample was most effective against Salmonella typhimurium NCIM 2501 (B5) while smaller effect was noticed from Micrococcus luteus NCIM 2871 (B4). In fungi, which was effective against Trichophyton rubrum MTCC 3272 (F4) whereas smaller effect was observed in Cryptococcus sp. MTCC 7076 (F2). All the microbial strains depict higher sensitivity to the higher concentration (30?L) for the test sample when compared to the positive control except few bacterial strains.

Ethnobotanical studies of spice and condiment plants used by some communitiesof Assam 阿萨姆邦一些社区使用的香料和调味品植物的民族植物学研究

Objective: The aims of the present study were to document spice and condiment plants, to identify the most culturally important spice and condiment plants and to evaluate market potential of some spices and condiments used by some ethnic communities of Assam. Methods: The ethnobotanical study was conducted for four ethnic communities namely Ahom, Deori, Mishing, Sonowal-kachari from Lakhimpur and Dhemaji districts of Assam. The information was collected from 120 informants from each community through semi-structured questionnaire. Results: A total of 51 species belonging to 42 genera and 26 families used as spices and condiments by the ethnic communities of Assam were documented in the present study.  Maximum number of spices and condiments were used by Ahom and had maximum similarity with Mishing, Sonowal-kachari and Deori. Maximum number of the spice and condiment plants belonged to families Amaryllidaceae and Zingiberaceae. Majority of the plants used by ethnic communities were under cultivation. Among all communities, herbs were used as spices and condiments. However, trees, shrubs and climbers were also used as spices and condiments. The study also revealed that fresh leafy herbaceous species were mostly used as spices and condiments by the communities of Assam. Flavouring was the most preferred category. The cultural important index of Allium cepa was highest among all selected communities of Assam. Piper nigrum showed the highest market potential. Conclusion: The present study revealed that spice and condiment plants were culturally more important in each ethnic community.

Methods: The ethnobotanical study was conducted for four ethnic communities namely Ahom, Deori, Mishing, Sonowal-kachari from Lakhimpur and Dhemaji districts of Assam. The information was collected from 120 informants from each community through semi-structured questionnaire. Results: A total of 51 species belonging to 42 genera and 26 families used as spices and condiments by the ethnic communities of Assam were documented in the present study.  Maximum number of spices and condiments were used by Ahom and had maximum similarity with Mishing, Sonowal-kachari and Deori. Maximum number of the spice and condiment plants belonged to families Amaryllidaceae and Zingiberaceae. Majority of the plants used by ethnic communities were under cultivation. Among all communities, herbs were used as spices and condiments. However, trees, shrubs and climbers were also used as spices and condiments. The study also revealed that fresh leafy herbaceous species were mostly used as spices and condiments by the communities of Assam. Flavouring was the most preferred category. The cultural important index of Allium cepa was highest among all selected communities of Assam. Piper nigrum showed the highest market potential. Asbestos base and asbestos free brake lining materials : comparative study 石棉基材与无石棉刹车片材料的比较研究

Frictional brake lining materials are broadly made of asbestos as their constituent. But asbestos is dangerous for handling due to health hazardous. Asbestos has ample physical, mechanical and tribological properties. The material replacing it should have all these properties with no undermine. In this paper a study on asbestos base and asbestos free brake lining material is presented. Purpose behind this is combine the demerits of asbestos free and asbestos base materials with comparable properties. Some organic waste from farm like banana peel, palm karnel shell, were also tested for the replacement of asbestos and they found worth through comparison with each others.

The adverse health effects associated with heavy metal pollution have become a subject of topical discussion. Using standard methods, this study evaluated the accumulation and toxicological risks of heavy metal deposition on top soils of school playgrounds in Obio-Akpor LGA. Results obtained from the top soils, sampled from 10 different schools showed that the concentration of heavy metals assessed, followed the trend; Hg Hg>Cu>Cd>As while the highest (0.0213) and least (0.0162) total hazard index value occurred at RBPS and MOM respectively. These values obtained for this study indicate that the school playground's soils are still within the recommended heavy metal content safe levels.

Studies on hyperaccumulation of Mercury by Jussiaea repens under laboratory condition 在实验室条件下研究了菊科植物对汞的超富集作用

Phytoremediation ability of plants has been a well known fact in the field of environmental toxicology. The present investigation reports the hyperaccumulating ability of aquatic plant Jussiaea repens under laboratory condition. Initiation of growth of roots of the plants in mercury contaminated water is a good morphological indication of the utilization of the mercury salt by the plant for its growth. To test the purifying potentiality of Jussiaea repens, mercury contaminated water and treated mercury contaminated water with Jussiaea repens were separately checked by in vitro pollen grain germination test. It was found that Jussiaea treated mercury-contaminated water significantly gives the higher percentage of pollen grain germination in comparison to pure mercury-contaminated water of the same concentration. Hence, Jussiaea repens can be effectively utilized for detoxification of heavy metals.
