: In 2006 the Services and Supports for Persons with Disabilities Act came into effect, and Type B Continuous Vocational Aid Centers (VACs) were required to support persons with disabilities, design and develop merchandising products to be sold, and improve user wages. This study clarifies the issues regarding development and sales of vocational aid products and necessary support based on (1) questionnaires with 580 local governments and intermediate support organizations throughout the country and (2) visit surveys of local governments and welfare shops actively conducting development and sales support activities for vocational aid products. As a result, in order to solve issues, it is suggested that support for 1: improvement in product value added, 2: enhancement of marketing functions in product planning and sales, 3: efforts to strengthen collaborative activities among VACs

: To improve the safety of autonomous cars, their obstacle detection capability in bad weather must be substantially improved. Haze is a major factor that degrades outdoor images. Although various dehazing schemes have been proposed, a dehazing scheme designed to improve obstacle detection capability has not been reported. Hence, we present a dehazing algorithm that enhances the safety of an autonomous car. This algorithm should be able to work in real time, even using edge computers typically installed as car electronics. Furthermore, this algorithm should work on grayscale images, as systems dependent on color images are often unaffected by environmental color changes caused by factors such as a setting sun. The empirical results showed that our grayscale image-based proposed algorithm is comparable to the results of current cutting-edge methods, and operates in real time.

: The growth environment for University students has changed dramatically due to the widespread of developed IT usage and the relationship between human and surrounded objects, which significantly impacted their current lifestyle. In this study, Clarification of two clarified how university students are related to lifestyle and fashion sensibility behavior. Firstly, analysis of factors of lifestyle which extracted into two types. There are “Active factor” and “Emotional factor”. After Cluster analysis, it was classified into three: “Rich-Emotional type”, “Enjoy type” and “Stable type”. The Findings from the analysis of variance was that their “Behavior of Fashion Emotional Value” differs depending on their type of lifestyle. As a result, there was a degree of statistical significance among the three types of lifestyle and within the “fashion awareness” and “purchasing behavior”. This study could elucidate the “Behavior of Fashion Emotional Value” from the characteristics of fashion awareness and purchase behavior by its type.

: We examined the effects of foot massage on healthy adult females’ mental and physical functions by electroencephalography as an emotional assessment method. We randomized 20 healthy adult females into 2 groups receiving a massage by a therapist (Group A) and mechanical massage using a commercially available massager (Group B), each of which consisted of 10 subjects. After massage, the lower limb volume significantly decreased in both groups, but Group A showed more favorable results related to comfort, pain, and feeling refreshed. Electroencephalography confirmed increased beta waves, indicating enhanced neuronal activity, in the medial prefrontal cortex and anterior cingulate gyrus of Group A after massage. The results suggest that foot massage by a therapist positively influences not only physical functions, but also mental conditions.
