Security Challenges in Implementing a Secured Hybrid Cloud Model for e-Health Services
Mukesh Joshi, Naveen Tewari, S. Budhani
Hybrid cloud is combinational form of two or more clouds i.e. private, public or community cloud. This deployment model of cloud computing allows data and application portability in e- Health services. While using this approach one can divide e-Health applications or data in public and private cloud. The e-Health data which requires a high level of security e.g. electronic health record, would be deployed in private cloud whereas compliance and remedial information about various health issues can be made in public deployment model. The proliferation in the usage of hybrid cloud allows practitioners and various cloud providers to take notice of this technology. But at the same time some critical issues has also been raised while using this technology for e-Health services. In this paper we have discussed various issues and challenges which are to be faced by various cloud providers while implementing the e-Health services through Hybrid cloud computing.

Internet of Things Based Flexible Architectures for Public Distribution System in Lockdown Situations
Nidhi Upadhyay, H. Chandna, Vibhutesh Kumar Singh
The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak-related lockdowns have shown that the current public distribution systems (PDS) are inefficient, as it does not reach the needy on-time. Considering a vast country like India, where the population is large and unevenly distributed, the PDS is complicated, aiming to reach out to individuals on-time. If the authorities know in prior, the urgency and demand for food supplies, they can efficiently plan food distribution to reach the individuals quickly. In this work, we propose solutions for the said problem through the Internet of Things (IoT) based architectures, which are inspired by our prior works [1] and [2]. The proposed IoT architecture utilizes a wireless device, wireless data network infrastructure, and cloud technology. The wireless device triggers a ticket or notification to the concerned authority, identifying the person in need of food supplies and the overall demand in a geographic area. A case study-based design approach is followed for designing these IoT architectures.

The Retirement Series is sponsored by the Thomas Jefferson Foundation, Inc., of Charlottesville, Virginia. It was created with a six-year founding grant from The Pew Charitable Trusts to the Foundation and to Princeton University, enabling the former to take over responsibility for the volumes associated with Jefferson’s retirement. Initial leadership gifts from Richard Gilder, Mrs. Martin S. Davis, and Thomas A. Saunders III, as well as subsequent generous gifts from Janemarie D. and Donald A. King, Jr., Alice Handy and Peter Stoudt, Harlan Crow, Mr. and Mrs. E. Charles Longley, Jr., and the Abby S. and Howard P. Milstein Foundation have assured the continuation of the Retirement Series. For these essential donations, and for other indispensable aid generously given by librarians, archivists, scholars, and collectors of manuscripts, the Editors record their sincere gratitude.
