Operational analysis of DC micro-grid using detailed model of distributed generation 基于分布式发电详细模型的直流微电网运行分析

This paper describes operational analysis results of the DC micro-grid using detailed model of distributed generation. Detailed model of wind power generation, photo-voltaic generation, fuel cells generation was implemented with the user-defined model of PSCAD/EMTDC software that is coded with C-language. Various simulation results confirm that the DC micro-grid can operate without any problem in both the grid-tied mode and the islanded mode. The operational analysis result confirms that the DC micro-grid make it feasible to provide power to the load stably.

Investigation on the 750kV fixed series compensation scheme of Hexi wind power transmission corridor in northwest China grid 西北电网河西风电输送走廊750kV固定串联补偿方案研究

According to the large scale wind power construction plan of JiuQuan area Gansu Province China, there are two 750kV transmission lines with four transformer stations planned for sending wind power to load center, which is over 1000km, called Hexi transmission corridor. In the interest of improving the transmission capability, fixed series compensation(FSC) is adopted in Hexi corridor. The FSC scheme was analyzed from the aspects of locations, compensation degree, etc… Suggestions for the FSC scheme were provided finally.
根据中国甘肃省酒泉地区大型风电建设规划,规划有2条750kV输电线路,4座变电站,将风电输送到负荷中心,全长1000多公里,称为河西输电走廊。为了提高河西走廊的输电能力,采用了固定串联补偿(FSC)。从选址、补偿程度等方面分析了金融稳定管理方案,并对金融稳定管理方案提出了建议。

Active power limitation of wind farm to reduce system operating cost 风电场有功功率限制,降低系统运行成本

As wind power penetrations increase in isolated power systems, the power from wind energy will start to replace conventional generation units and its influence on power systems cannot be neglected. On the other hand, wind farm with the centralized power control scheme can behave as an active controllable component in the power system according to power references from system operator. Nevertheless, there are normally large uncertainties in the prediction of wind power output because of the intermittent nature of wind. Therefore, additional up/down reserve on a system is needed to cater for any possible unexpected generation deficit. This leads the increase of operating cost of power system. This paper presents an algorithm for active power output limitation of wind farm considering system operating cost in the isolated power systems. The unit commitment formulation for the system with wind farms is presented. Then, the procedure to adjust the generation schedule using decommittment method is proposed. In order to validate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, some numerical experiments with 10 unit system are conducted.

Application of NSGA-II for reducing voltage deviations, power losses and control actions in a transmission power system NSGA-II在输电系统中降低电压偏差、功率损耗和控制动作的应用

A multi-objective genetic algorithm, based on NSGA-II, is implemented to find an optimal condition of minimum voltage deviations, minimum power losses and minimum number of control actions of a transmission network system. The system used as model is a IEEE 14-bus system. Generators, tap position of transformers and a shunt capacitor are the devices to controlling. The results show a succesful performance of the implemented algorithm. Also, different probability of mutation factors are compared and it is proved that a more important mutation factor can improve the velocity of convergence without fall into a random searching.
采用基于NSGA-II的多目标遗传算法求解输电网系统电压偏差最小、功率损耗最小、控制动作数最少的最优条件。作为模型的系统是IEEE 14总线系统。发电机、变压器分接位置和并联电容器是控制装置。结果表明,所实现的算法性能良好。同时,比较了突变因子的不同概率,证明了一个更重要的突变因子可以提高收敛速度,而不会陷入随机搜索。

Examination on the applicability of IP-related communications to teleprotection systems 审查与ip有关的通信对远程保护系统的适用性

This paper preliminarily examines the applicability of Internet protocol (IP)-related communication technologies such as IP and MPLS (Multi-Protocol Label Switching) routers and L2 (Layer-two or Ethernet) switches to existing teleprotection systems. The teleprotection systems concerned include microprocessor-based current differential teleprotection with data communications of instantaneous current values or phasors, directional comparison teleprotection, and special or system-wide protection. Taking account of the performance limitations of IP-related telecommunication networks, fully redundant L2 switch networks are indispensable, as is an external timing synchronization scheme for current differential teleprotection. Based on the analyses, a new concept for modernizing teleprotection system associated with L2 switch networks, time synchronization and modular devices is proposed.

Biogeography Based Optimization technique applied to multi-constraints economic load dispatch problems 基于生物地理学的优化技术在多约束经济负荷调度中的应用

This paper presents Biogeography-Based Optimization (BBO) technique for solving constrained economic dispatch problems in power system. Many nonlinear characteristics of generators, like valve point loading, ramp rate limits, prohibited zone, and multiple fuels cost functions are considered. Two Economic Load Dispatch (ELD) problems with different characteristics are applied and compared its solution quality and computation efficiency to Genetic algorithm (GA), Particle swarm optimization (PSO), and other optimization techniques. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms previous optimization methods.

Configuration and control of a DC microgrid for residential houses 住宅用直流微电网的配置与控制

DC microgrid is suitable for dc output type distributed generations and energy storages. In this paper, dc microgrid for residential houses is described. Electrical power through dc distribution line (± 170 V) can be converted into some proper ac or dc voltages by converters placed near loads. Each house has a cogeneration system such as gas engine or fuel cell. The outputs of those distributed generations are connected to dc distribution line, and the power from generations can be shared among residences. We constructed a small scale experimental system in our laboratory, and examined the fundamental characteristics of dc microgrid. The experimental results demonstrated that high quality power was supplied even when voltage sag occurred in the utility grid.

Combination of artificial neural network and ARIMA time series models for short term price forecasting in deregulated market 人工神经网络与ARIMA时间序列模型相结合的放松管制市场短期价格预测

In the framework of competitive electricity markets, power producers and consumers need accurate price forecasting tools. Price forecasts embody crucial information for producers and consumers when planning bidding strategies in order to maximize their benefits and utilities, respectively. The choice of the forecasting model becomes the important influence factor how to improve price forecasting accuracy. In this paper provides a combination methodology that combines both ARIMA and ANN models for predicting short term electricity prices. This method is examined by using the data of Australian National Electricity Market (NEM), New South Wales regional in year 2006. Comparison of forecasting performance with the proposed ARIMA and ARIMA-ANN models are presented. Empirical results indicate that an ARIMA-ANN model can improve the price forecasting accuracy.

Power IT test-bed system for smart grid 智能电网电力IT试验台系统

When merging new power IT(PIT) systems, it is necessary to evaluate operating condition in order to verify the efficiency of these systems. To do so, it is required to develop some test tool and test-bed system. In this paper, we propose a design methodology of this test tool. The test tool is concerned about PIT research results such as intelligent transmission system, power telemetrics, K-EMS(Korea-Energy Management System), digital substation system, intelligent distribution system, and value added service of power system.
