Over the recent decades, we have witnessed advanced processes of liberalization of capital flows, and increasing integration and globalization of financial markets. Along with the globalization trend, ever since the end of the 1980s, the process of financial integration has also been taking place, as a consequence of removing barriers to free movement of capital between countries. Therefore, this research explores financial integration of small open countries and aims to make conclusions on how this integration can affect their economic stability. Qualitative definitions of small countries point out that they typically have a limited territory, relatively small population and limited resources. The research hypothesis is postulated as follows: the economic stability index of small open countries is conditioned by their financial integration. The analysis includes small open countries of Southeast Europe observed from 2005 to 2020, with relevant statistical data used for the total inflow and outflow of investments, the share of assets and liabilities in gross domestic product and the calculated value of the economic stability index. The analysis was made using the methods of correlation analysis and correlation test. The results show that there is a correlation between financial integration and the economic stability index in small open countries.

We used online customer reviews of smartphones from eight countries to explore the gender effects on the evaluation of electronic word of mouths (eWOMs). We found that male eWOMs valence had a more significant impact on the market shares of smartphones than female and anonymous eWOM valence, but the impact of female eWOM valence increased with the level of gender equality. To minimize gender stereotypes in eWOM evaluation, we recommend online review platforms remove the option of anonymity and replace it with gender-neutral user IDs.

The purpose of this study is to explore the post-pandemic internationalization behavior of Paraguayan firms using a comparative multiple-case study design as research methodology. Data was collected through qualitative, in-depth interviews with senior managers of Paraguayan case study firms and other sources of evidence in 2022. The findings of this study suggest that the post-pandemic internationalization behavior differs from the pre-pandemic behavior. The data reveals that Paraguayan firms seem to have digitized their internationalization processes to connect with customers and distributors, to increase the productivity of internationalization, to manage internationalization cost, and to develop online distribution and marketing channels to acquire international customers directly. The “working from home” trend allows them to recruit more experts from abroad and with their global exporter business model, they may flexibly respond to business opportunities and to a growing geopolitical risk. The findings of this study have implications for practice and theory. Managers may use the results to improve their internationalization processes. Researchers may continue this research with quantitative research methods and in other countries to strengthen and verify the results.

The effect of major sport events on stock markets has been studied by many researchers, most of them focused on soccer without considering if it’s the most popular sport in the countries under study and without considering if the matches are important or not. The enquiry that the researcher tried to answer in this study was whether the stock market is affected by the results of the major event of the sport that is the most popular in the country of that market. To answer this question, the researcher studied the effect of the world cup of cricket, the most popular sport in India, on the main Indian stock exchanges: Bombay stock exchange and national stock exchange. A quantitative approach was followed to conduct this study using data for the period from May 24,2018 to July 15, 2019. The collected data was analyzed using ordinary least squares method and one sample t-test. Study conclusions indicated that loss results in the world cup have a significant positive effect on the stock prices in the two stock exchanges while there was no significant effect for winning results.

This scientific paper brought insights into the effects of the Covid-19 on specific and important part of the EU economy – the sports industry. The main objective of the research made was to identify and quantify the possible impact of the Covid-19 global pandemic on the EU sports industry. There are no doubts that this pandemic has had a significant impact on the world economy and also on the economies of the individual countries. This scientific article connects already published articles, which were focusing on the impacts of the Covid-19 on the global or local economies and their specific industries with the analysis of the impact on the sports industry in the European Union which have not been sufficiently investigated yet. Purpose of the article was to identify and quantify the impact of the Covid-19 waves and restrictions (that have been held against the spread of The Covid-19) on the sports industry in the EU and its individual countries. This paper also seeks to present possible solutions how the EU sports industry could possibly restore its pre-pandemic state. Mainly the empirical, exploratory, comparative and statistical methods of examining secondary data which are connected with the selected macroeconomic indicators (f. e. the industry outputs, state of employment in the selected time period) were used. The most important finding is that the Covid-19 pandemic has had significant impact on the EU sports industry.

This article investigates the role of marketing managers as strategic change agents from a dynamic managerial capabilities’ perspective. Nurturing the broader theoretical questioning of marketing’s contribution to corporate strategy, this research uncovers how marketing practitioners’ complex skills and knowledge are combined and deployed while driving strategic change programs. To fill a gap identified in the literature regarding the role of marketing managers in strategic change, their involvement is analyzed according to a twofold perspective by considering the degree of proactivity in both the change in strategy content and the change in strategy processes. Drawing on qualitative data, the empirical investigation suggests a change agency model and uncovers the distinctive roles endorsed by marketing managers. These roles lead to four different postures in strategic change programs (i.e., the pilot, advisor, expert and synergist) and the respective dynamic managerial capabilities that marketing managers rely on in each of the configurations.

Problem: why are some technology entrepreneurship projects successfully, resilient and others not when they are executed in the same ecosystem? Research objectives: to revise conceptual and theoretical portraits of the process of technological entrepreneurship; propose a model that incorporates multidimensional factors that can effectively contribute to the success and resilience of technology entrepreneurship. Methodology: we used the inductive approach and a qualitative exploratory strategy. Private and public companies are our sample for convenience. Results: at the design stage, human capital and relationship capital identify market issues and opportunities. at the implementation and development stage, human, relational, structural, and technological capital are effective levers to generate performance and resilience. Finally, at the marketing and consolidation stage, human, structural, relational, financial, and technological capital have an undeniable contribution. But it is above all the integration of all these factors that generates success and resilience. Implications and limitations: the chapter is useful for researchers, entrepreneurs and governments who will find strategies to enhance the success and resilience of technological entrepreneurship. This research is part of the theory of artificial science. The adoption of an inductive approach and a qualitative strategy is one of its limitations. Future research could use the mixed strategy to extrapolate results.

To realize the benign coupling between human resource structure and industrial structure, and promote high-quality economic development, the article analyzes the coupling relationship between human resource and industrial structure, conducts a comparative study on the coupling between human resource and industrial structure in nine provinces in the Yellow River Basin by using 2020 statistics. The results showed: the coupling degree of primary industry in each area is far less than 1, indicating a surplus of human resources. The coupling degree of the secondary industry is greater than 1, showing a shortage of human resources varies in the upper and lower reaches of the river. While the lake of human resources in the tertiary industry goes in the middle and upper reaches of the river, except for Ningxia Province, where there is a surplus of human resources. In this regard, the government needs strengthen the top-level design, promote the integration of human resources, and realize the positive coupling between the human resources structure and industrial structure in the Yellow River Basin.
