The study evaluates the effects of cost control on the survival of the manufacturing companies in Nigeria. The study adopted finance cost, salaries and wages and cost of goods sold to determine the extent to which the various techniques of reducing cost has manifested in the industry. The study reviewed relevant theories such as “growth rate fitter theory”. Data on salaries and wages, finance cost and cost of goods sold were collected from the five selected manufacturing companies, and the data were analysed using fixed effects model in panel regression to examine the influence of these costs on the growth or survival of the companies. Following the results of the analysis, findings revealed that the manufacturing companies have been able to control the cost incurred on salaries and wages and cost of borrowing known as finance cost or interest on loan. The cost of sales has not been able to control. The study concludes that finance cost, salaries and Wages cost and cost of sales have significant impact on the profitability of manufacturing companies in Nigeria. The study recommends that adequate management and alternative sourcing of raw materials should be pursued by manufacturing firms in Nigeria. This alternative can be achieved by encouraging large scale mechanized production of the primary raw materials and create a source of supply for foreign raw materials

This study investigates the relationship between academic procrastination and self-efficacy in online learning. The researchers noticed this phenomenon in a larger area because students put off finishing their academic assignments, putting off studying for exams despite being advised to do so beforehand, and presenting projects on time without procrastination or delay. To identify whether there is a correlation between academic procrastination and self-efficacy in online learning, researchers conducted the study. The respondents in this study were from the 5 majors of the third year of the Bachelor of Secondary Education. This study used a descriptive-correlational design. The results show that students who have high levels of selfefficacy are intrinsically driven and more likely to succeed in their efforts to finish the activities, which is not surprising. But even though pre-service teachers have high self-efficacy, this does not mean that they do not tend to procrastinate. Thus, a student's decision to resist or run away from a task, such as an individual or group assignment, a midterm, or a final test, indicated their level of academic self-efficacy. According to the study's findings and conclusions, the researchers recommend that for the students to stay on track and avoid procrastination, they can use tools or productivity apps like Forest, Pomodoro, and similar ones. They might also provide them with a checklist so they can keep track of the tasks and activities they should prioritize

As is the case of most economies around the world, the relevance of SMEs to the well-being of the Cameroonian economy is quite significant as they contribute meaningfully to employment creation, GDP as well as poverty alleviation. However, this category of businesses in Cameroon tends to implement very low levels of automation due to the lack of financing for equipment /machinery acquisition. This inevitably leads to high production costs and the inability to scale up production as multiple tasks are carried out manually. Certain opportunities cannot even be exploited as SMEs tend to congregate in sectors that are labor-intensive while avoiding technology and machinery-intensive sectors. Despite this situation, the OECD developed the blended finance tool which involves the usage of non-business funds such as developmental/ philanthropic funds to mobilize and orientate private capital towards sectors that will otherwise be neglected. It was therefore the purpose of this study to investigate if this tool can have a statistically significant impact on the willingness of financial institutions to finance machinery/ equipment acquisition in SMEs in Cameroon. Data collected from 232 bank and microfinance employees across Cameroon using a pretested questionnaire was analyzed using the One-way ANOVA analysis in SPSS. The results revealed a statistically significant impact of blended finance on the willingness of financial institutions to finance machinery/equipment acquisition in SMEs in Cameroon. It is therefore recommended that the governments as well as NGOs interested in SMEs make use of this tool to incite financial institutions to provide financing for this category of businesses.

This study aims to examine the analysis of the job insecurity and organizational commitment effect on turnover intention and its impact on the performance of contract workers in the Aceh Apparatus Work Unit (SKPA). This research was conducted on 55 SKPAs, with a population of 10,073 contract workers. The sample was determined proportionally in each SKPA, so that 351 people were obtained as respondents. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires, with the answer format using a Likert scale. The model was tested using SEM-AMOS. The results prove that for contract workers at SKPA, job insecurity significantly affects performance; job insecurity significantly affects turnover intention; job insecurity significantly affects performance through turnover intention; organizational commitment significantly affects performance; organizational commitment significantly affects turnover intention; organizational commitment significantly affects performance through turnover intention; and turnover intention significantly affects performance. These results also validate that turnover intention is a partial mediating variable, which means that job insecurity and organizational commitment can affect performance directly, or through turnover intention as a mediator.
