As is the case of most economies around the world, the relevance of SMEs to the well-being of the Cameroonian economy is quite significant as they contribute meaningfully to employment creation, GDP as well as poverty alleviation. However, this category of businesses in Cameroon tends to implement very low levels of automation due to the lack of financing for equipment /machinery acquisition. This inevitably leads to high production costs and the inability to scale up production as multiple tasks are carried out manually. Certain opportunities cannot even be exploited as SMEs tend to congregate in sectors that are labor-intensive while avoiding technology and machinery-intensive sectors. Despite this situation, the OECD developed the blended finance tool which involves the usage of non-business funds such as developmental/ philanthropic funds to mobilize and orientate private capital towards sectors that will otherwise be neglected. It was therefore the purpose of this study to investigate if this tool can have a statistically significant impact on the willingness of financial institutions to finance machinery/ equipment acquisition in SMEs in Cameroon. Data collected from 232 bank and microfinance employees across Cameroon using a pretested questionnaire was analyzed using the One-way ANOVA analysis in SPSS. The results revealed a statistically significant impact of blended finance on the willingness of financial institutions to finance machinery/equipment acquisition in SMEs in Cameroon. It is therefore recommended that the governments as well as NGOs interested in SMEs make use of this tool to incite financial institutions to provide financing for this category of businesses.

This study aims to examine the analysis of the job insecurity and organizational commitment effect on turnover intention and its impact on the performance of contract workers in the Aceh Apparatus Work Unit (SKPA). This research was conducted on 55 SKPAs, with a population of 10,073 contract workers. The sample was determined proportionally in each SKPA, so that 351 people were obtained as respondents. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires, with the answer format using a Likert scale. The model was tested using SEM-AMOS. The results prove that for contract workers at SKPA, job insecurity significantly affects performance; job insecurity significantly affects turnover intention; job insecurity significantly affects performance through turnover intention; organizational commitment significantly affects performance; organizational commitment significantly affects turnover intention; organizational commitment significantly affects performance through turnover intention; and turnover intention significantly affects performance. These results also validate that turnover intention is a partial mediating variable, which means that job insecurity and organizational commitment can affect performance directly, or through turnover intention as a mediator.

This study aimed to assess the competency of physical education teachers and its influence on the cognitive learning of students. The research involved 80 junior high school students from two integrated high schools in the province of Laguna. The results indicated that physical education teachers exhibited a high level of perceived knowledge, skills, and professional value positions. Similarly, the students' cognitive abilities in terms of comprehension, memory, and application were found to be highly satisfactory. Furthermore, the analysis using Pearson correlation revealed significant relationships between different variables. Specifically, knowledge and skills were significantly correlated with memory, indicating that the level of knowledge and skills possessed by physical education teachers had a positive impact on students' memory abilities. Additionally, the findings showed a significant correlation between memory and professional value positions, suggesting that students' memory performance was influenced by the professional values demonstrated by their physical education teachers. These findings highlight the importance of competent physical education teachers in enhancing students' cognitive learning. The results suggest that teachers who possess extensive knowledge and skills in physical education can positively influence students' memory abilities, which are crucial for effective cognitive learning. Moreover, the study emphasizes the significance of professional values among physical education teachers, as they can contribute to the development of students' memory skills. These findings can serve as a foundation for future research and can also guide educational institutions and policymakers in designing effective training programs for physical education teachers to improve their competencies and ultimately enhance students' cognitive learning outcomes.

The power transformer is one of the most important links in a power system and is a highly reliable piece of equipment. This study focused on developing a transformer monitoring system for physical protection that incorporated a microcontroller, Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) and sensor technology. Vandalism is a criminal phenomenon which is not only restricted and peculiar to Zimbabwe but is experienced in other regions of the world. The objective of the research was to discover a new method of protecting a transformer from theft or vandalism by looking at Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company, a power utility in Zimbabwe. A number of stimulants have been seen to be triggering and sustaining theft and vandalism of transformers which targets copper conductors, copper windings, oils and poles in the majority of cases. The research adopted the mixed method approach due to its technical advantage of converging and merging qualitative and quantitative data in order to provide comprehensive results and produce new knowledge claims. This methodological framework was guided by the structural materialism theory which is derived from the critical criminology perspective. The research found out that transformer vandalism is representative of a broader dysfunctional socio-economic system of a country. Consequently, the levels of transformer vandalism have spiralled to unprecedented levels. The research concludes that no significant effort has been made in the research of new methods of transformer monitoring for physical protection and that the government is failing to sufficiently address the macro-economic fundamentals as a way of discouraging citizens from engaging in crime. In view of these conclusions the research recommended that a microcontroller-based transformer monitoring system for physical protection which addresses the need for Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) to fight theft or vandalism of transformers be adopted. The research further recommends that all stakeholders should contribute to digitalize the physical protection and monitoring of transformers. The government of Zimbabwe should promulgate appropriate pieces of legislation
