Effects of Social Media 社交媒体的影响

Using social media web sites is among the most common activity of today's children and adolescents. Any web site that allows social interaction is considered a social media site, including social networking sites such as Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter; gaming sites and virtual worlds such as Club Penguin, Second Life, and the Sims; video sites such as YouTube; and blogs. Such sites offer today's youth a portal for entertainment and communication and have grown exponentially in recent years. For this reason, it is important that parents become aware of the nature of social media sites, given that not all of them are healthy environments for children and adolescents. Social networks have removed all the communication and interaction barriers, and now one can communicate his perception and thoughts over a variety of topics. Students and experts are able to share and communicate with like-minded people and can ask for the input and opinion on a particular topic. Another positive impact of social networking sites is to unite people on a huge platform for the achievement of some specific objective. This is very important to bring the positive change in society.

Design, Interpretation and Progression of BLDC Motor for Coreless Thruster 无芯推力器无刷直流电机的设计、解释与进展

This paper is to present on the design, development and manufacture of a of high power Permanent Magnet Brushless DC (BLDC) motor for underwater vehicle propulsion system. The design requirements and critical parameter was analyzed. The non-linear design and analysis of a permanent magnet DC motor was performed in 2-D Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software. Specification and sizing was arrived on the requirement of propeller characteristics. Initially the design was analytically arrived and analyzed through Motor solve FEA software from infolytica. The parameters were further optimized to achieve the required objective. Critical key parameters such a speed, torque, power was accounted in the analysis. The optimized design will be used to develop the prototype.

Digitizing human brain 数字化人脑

Human brain is most complex and unique creation of nature which is developing from ages by adaptation process and making humans more and more intelligent. The objective of this research is about how we can digitize the human brain with the study of blue brain project and applying in real life scenario. This will take decades of time to digitize the human brain; my research is a small work in this field. My model of digitizing human brain based on blue brain project and taking the data of fMRI and applying on neural networks will give a way to digitize the human brain. Here my work is to get the deep knowledge of on-going blue brain project and create my model of digitizing the human brain based on fMRI and study of blue gene supercomputer, quantum leap, blue column which are part of blue brain project.

Pollen Spectrum of honey samples of Apis cerana F. collected from different areas of Shiwalik hills. 石华克山不同地区中华蜜蜂蜂蜜的花粉谱分析。

In India beekeeping is still in infancy, offering vast scope for expansion as a prime agri-horticulture and forest-based rural industry. In order to make beekeeping a successful enterprise, first and foremost task in India is to educate beekeepers about the bee pasturage availability in different agroclimatic zones. This provides valuable information on availability and abundance of pollen and nectar sources, for honeybees during different seasons and helps ultimately in standardizing the seasonal management practices for honey bee colony. Unfortunately, our knowledge on this aspect in the country is scanty and unorganized. Therefore, melissopalynological studies were conducted on twelve honey samples and pollen loads collected from different localities of Shiwalik hills. Analysis of pollen types in honey was carried using standard methods of melissopalynology. These investigations revealed that predominant sporomorphs were: Brassica sp., Raphanus sp., Murraya sp., Eucalyptus sp.  etc. whereas, calendula sp., Mangifera sp,  Eruca sp., Trifolium sp., Woodfordia sp.. Psidium sp., Grewia sp., Phoenix sp., Hibiscus sp., Syzygium sp., Melia sp., Grewia sp., Acacia sp., Adhatoda sp., Citrus sp., Azadirachta sp. etc. were secondary pollen types. The important minor and minor pollen components represented in these honey samples were:  Acacia sp., Adhatoda sp., Ageratum sp., Allium sp., Bauhinia sp., Berberis sp., Bidens sp., Callistemon sp., Carissa sp., Cassia sp., Chenopodium sp., Dalbergia sp., Dianthus sp., Gossypium sp., Grevillea sp., Grewia sp., Helianthus sp., Lagerstroemia sp., Lilium sp., Medicago sp., Murraya sp., Rubus sp., Salvia sp., Sapindus sp., Syzygium sp., Zea sp., Zizyphus sp., Bauhinia sp., Cestrum sp., Citrus sp., Litchi sp., Raphanus sp. Bombax sp., Embilica sp., Pisum sp., Rosa sp., Woodfordia sp. Aegle sp., Albizzia sp., Berberis sp.,Calendula sp., Cedrella sp., Dianthus sp., Leucaena sp., Ocimum sp., Pisum sp., Polygonum sp., Punica sp., Ricinus sp., Robinia sp., Taraxacum sp., Sonchus sp., Syzygium sp., Vitis sp., Bombax sp., Litchi sp and members of families Boraginaceae, Convolvulaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Fabaceae, Meliaceae, Asteraceae, Cucurbitaceae Myrtaceae Acanthaceae, Apiaceae, Apocynaceae, Boraginaceae, Brassicaceae, Cannabinaceae, Lamiaceae, Malvaceae, Papaveraceae, Poaceae, Rosaceae ,Sapindaceae and Rutaceae. Most of the honey samples had pollen of entomophilous plants with a small percentage of anemophilous types. These investigations also revealed both uniflorality and multiflorality in different honey samples. On the basis of present melissopalynological and bee botanical investigations, a floral calendar of honey plant resources of Shiwalik hills indicating their taxonomic status, geographic location, honey potentiality, periods of flowering and economic uses has been prepared. DCT Compression of Test Vector in SoC SoC中测试向量的DCT压缩

This paper reports results on studies of the problem and demonstrates the feasibility of the suggested methodology with simulation runs on the International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS) 85 combinational and ISCAS 89 full-scan sequential benchmark circuits. When the storage nears it limit, they then try to reduce those files size to minimum by using data compression software. In this project i proposed a new algorithm for data compression, called DISCRETE COSINE transform. This algorithm will manipulates each bit of data inside file to minimize the size without losing any data after decoding to lossless compression. This basic algorithm is intended to be combining with other data compression algorithms to optimize the compression ratio

A Short Review on Characteristics of Kolkata Soil on The Basis of Liquefaction Susceptibility 基于液化敏感性的加尔各答土特征综述

The present study describes liquefaction of soil due to loss of strength of cohesionless soils in saturated condition due to sudden increase of pore water pressure during earthquake in undrained condition. Many failures of various structures such as seismic dams, retaining structures, and harbours have been attributed to liquefaction of saturated soils. There have been very limited studies regarding the behaviour of soil liquefaction at large depths, yet this situation commonly occurs at foundations of some structures such as large earth dams. This paper describes effects, mechanism, susceptibility, evaluation and prevention of liquefaction and it concludes by proposing that dynamic consolidation is the best suitable method of soil improvement which can be adopted before constructing any structures in Kolkata in those places are highly prone to liquefaction.

Many failures of various structures such as seismic dams, retaining structures, and harbours have been attributed to liquefaction of saturated soils. There have been very limited studies regarding the behaviour of soil liquefaction at large depths, yet this situation commonly occurs at foundations of some structures such as large earth dams. Microgrid Power Quality Improvement by using Dual Output Four-Leg Inverter 双输出四腿逆变器改善微电网电能质量

In this paper, a new system is proposed for connecting a microsource to a weak utility. The proposed system simultaneously conditions the quality of the power supplied to the microgrid loads. This system employs a recently introduced reduced switch count dual-output inverter in a so-called equal frequency mode which offers its best operation features such as maximum dc bus voltage utilization and minimum device ratings. Compared to the counterpart system, the proposed configuration enjoys an integrated structure and uses less number of semiconductor switches. Moreover, it retains the desirable features of the conventional system such as ability to compensate unbalanced/sagged utility and to supply three-phase unbalanced loads with balanced and ceaseless voltage. The proposed system is introduced and its carrier-based modulation scheme is elaborated. Subsequently, a detailed study on the maximum achievable modulation index under different working conditions is carried out. The report concludes with a discussion on control of the system and its controller design. The validity of operation of the proposed system is verified through simulation. Apostol Tnokovski is the designer of the E-Ball computer system. E-Ball is a sphere shaped computer which is the smallest in design among all the desktops and laptops. E-ball has all the traditional features of computer system such as keyboard, mouse, DVD, etc. but in a very innovative way. E-Ball is just 6 inch in diameter, which is a very small sphere shaped computer can easily carry everywhere than laptops; and only 120 X 120 mm motherboard. It has a laser keyboard feature which is activated by pressing a particular key on E-Ball; a wireless optical mouse; a large screen display and; a DVD recorder. E-Ball is designed to be placed on two stands, opens by simultaneously pressing and holding the two buttons located on each side. This paper introduces E-Ball with all its detailed features, its design and working, advantages and disadvantages. E-Ball is the very smallest computer in the world.

Fabrication and Electrical Characterizations of Cu / (n) - CdS1-xSex Thin Film Schottky Diode Cu / (n) - CdS1-xSex薄膜肖特基二极管的制备与电学特性研究

The present investigation describes the preparation and electrical characterization of CdS 1-x Se x based thin film Schottky diode. The formed single Schottky barrier shows characteristics comparable to the barrier formed by change in chemical composition. The thin films were prepared by vacuum thermal evaporation method under the pressure 2 × 10 -5 torr. I-V characteristics shows that the Cu makes Schottky contact with N-type CdS 1-x Se x thin film. The variation of junction current with voltage has been studied to evaluate the Schottky barrier height (ф B ). The ideality factor (η) of grown Schottky diodes was found near to ideality.

Bio-synthesis of Silver Nano-prisms from Ocimum sanctum manipulation of Localised surface Plasmon through induced resonance 通过诱导共振,利用圣珠操纵局部表面等离子体元生物合成银纳米棱镜

Localised surface Plasmon Resonance (LSPR) is a phenomenon in its starting stages that is being put through study for its sensing applications. With the rise of a new innovation comes the lack of considerations for the environment and this has been established by the many centuries of industrial revolution all around the world. This work was initiated as an attempt to produce optically configured Silver Nano-prisms through Eco-Friendly methodology and as an investigation to find an alternative to the traditional. Ocimum sanctum leaf extract was utilised for the traditional precipitation-stabilization biosynthetic method for its ease and efficiency. Preliminary analyses conducted, production of Silver Nano particles were characterised. This was achieved by mixing 2.5 ml of extract in AgNO3 to arrive at the same. A characteristic change in colour was observed towards an amber-brown from milky white to indicate the formation of silver Nano-particles. A clear absorbance peak at around 410 nm indicating the presence of silver Nano-particles . Now the resultant solution was exposed to varying optical condition to manipulate its Surface Plasmon and preliminary analyses showed obvious changes in optical and physical properties of the Nano-particles. These Nano-Prisms were characterised by a change in the entire particulate structure that gave it a triangular, pyramidal shape . These changes were analysed and discussed after various tests and imaging processes.
