Inventory of ferns in the University of Medan Area subdistrict Percut Sei Tuan district of Deli Serdang North Sumatra. Ferns generaly live in moist place and open. In the campus of the University of Medan Area 1 has a variety of tree, thus enabling the discovery of epiphytic and terrestrial nails done in campus of the University of Medan Area. The method used in this research is descriptive exploration techniques and documentation, that one the rescarch by describing an object without exaggerated. The sample used in the total sample using purposive sampling method. The results obtained many as 15 species consist of 11 epiphytic ferns are (Davallia trichomanides, Nephrolepis hirsutula, Asplenium nidus, Pyrrosia piloselloides, Pyrrosia lanceolata, Tectaria sp, Drymoglossum piloselloides, Drynaria quercifolia, Selliguea sp, Goniophlebium verrucosum, Vittaria elongata), and four terrestrial namely (Adiantum trafeziforme, Acrostichum aureum, Lygodium circinnatum, Thelypteris sp)

PENGARUH KONSENTRASI MIKROORGANISME LOKAL DARI LIMBAH TOMAT DAN LIMBAH AIR KELAPA TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN TANAMAN CABAI (Capsicum annum L.) 局部微生物浓度对番茄和椰子汁的影响影响辣椒植物的生长。

The objective of this research is to know the effect of local microorganism solution (MOL) from tomato waste and coconut water waste to chili plant growth (Capsicum annum L.) and to know the MOL concentration from tomato waste and coconut water waste which give the best influence to the growth of chilli plant (Capsicum annum L .). This research was conducted at Jl. Sidomulyo Gg. Sahabat, Pasar 7, Helvetia Medan, took place from August to December 2017. This study used a Completely Random Design (RAL) consisting of one factor with 4 treatments ie M0 = Control (without treatment), M1 = 5 ml MOL / L water, M2 = 10 ml MOL / L water, M3 = 15 ml MOL / L water, with 5 replications. Parameters observed were; plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), and wet weight of plant (gram). The results of this research indicate that permeian MOL of tomato waste and coconut water waste have an effect to increase the growth and productivity of pepper plant. The most effective concentration of MOL tomato waste and coconut water waste to increase the growth and production of chili is 15 ml / L.
本研究的目的是了解番茄废弃物和椰子水废弃物的局部微生物溶液(MOL)对辣椒植株生长的影响,并确定番茄废弃物和椰子水废弃物中MOL浓度对辣椒植株生长的影响最大。这项研究是在Jl。Sidomulyo Gg. KELIMPAHAN LUMUT KERAK (LICHENS) SEBAGAI BIOINDIKATOR KUALITAS UDARA DI KAWASAN PERKOTAAN KOTA MEDAN 地衣是棉兰市区空气质量的生物指标

Peningkatan sektor transportasi di sekitar daerah perkotaan kota Medan semakin berkembang pesat. Hal tersebut sejalan dengan peningkatan polusi udara. Mempertimbangkan dampaknya pada ekonomi, kesehatan, dan lingkungan, polusi udara merupakan masalah lingkungan yang sangat mendesak untuk ditangani. Emisi yang dikeluarkan oleh masing – masing kendaraan menimbulkan akumulasi pencemar di udara. Lumut kerak dapat menunjukkan adanya perubahan keadaan, ketahanan tubuh, dan memberikan reaksi sebagai dampak perubahan kondisi lingkungan yang akan memberikan informasi tentang perubahan dan tingkat pencemaran lingkungan. Terkait dengan fungsinya sebagai bioindikator, maka keberadaan lumut kerak dapat digunakan sebagai bagian dari observasi penelitian dengan mengambil kawasan yang berbeda kondisi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa adanya perbedaan antara kawasan yang sedikit polusi (A3) dengan daerah yang banyak polusi udara (A1 dan A2). Pada lokasi pengamatan yang berada dekat dengan sumber pencemar ditemukan beberapa lumut kerak memiliki kecenderungan warna dari thallus adalah hijau kusam. Sedangkan kawasan A3 memiliki jumlah lumut kerak yang lebih banyak. Rata-rata diameter lumut kerak A1 adalah 2.25 cm; pada A2 adalah 3.3 cm, dan pada A3 adalah 1.75 cm. Perbedaan diameter tersebut tidak berbeda signifikan diantara ketiga kawasan tersebut.

Science is an important part of man because it plays a major role in changing the mindset of man. Education is a human medium for gaining knowledge. The world of education, especially biology is a science that studies the knowledge of living things in the universe consists of humans, plants and animals, they have a cell with a unique name and very difficult to remember. Dictionaries are books containing terms, meanings and words used as a tool to translate the language. The dictionary is usually physically always thick so that when taken will be heavy and takes place. Bioinformatics is defined as the application of computational tools and analysis to capture and interpret biological data. The design of a cell term dictionary application so that it is easily searched for its cell term is part of the result of bioinformatics, and to generate a computerized search term that is difficult to use Boyer Moore algorithm. The Boyer Moore algorithm is the best string matching algorithm due to its ability to quickly match the searched strings. Application of Bayor Moore algorithm in dictionary application required design of process model using DFD and design database can be easily implemented to application system

PENGARUH JENIS MAKANAN PUR, BIJI-BIJIAN, SERANGGA TERHADAP PERKEMBANGAN BOBOT TUBUH BURUNG PERKUTUT (Geopelia Striata) 低地食物、谷物、昆虫对斑鸠的体重发展的影响

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui perkembangan bobot tubuh, warna tubuh, dan kualitas suara burung perkutut (Geopelia striata) berdasarkan jenis makanan yang telah di tentukan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari – Maret 2017. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), terdiri dari 5 ulangan dan 5 perlakuan. Bahan yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah burung perkutut sebanyak 25 ekor berumur 4-6 bulan dan dipelihara selama 10 (sepuluh) minggu, makanan burung perkutut seperti pur, biji-bijian, dan ekstrak daun. Hasil penelitian yaitu adanya pengaruh perlakuan terhadap jenis makanan berupa pur, biji – bijian, dan ekstrak daun, hasil penelitian ini tidak menunjukkan perbedaan nyata, namun ada indikasi bahwa ekstrak daun dapat meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh burung perkutut sehingga memberikan respon terhadap tingkat konsumsi pakan yang implikasinya terlihat pada peningkatan kandungan kadar gross energynya (3180 kal/gr), kadar protein kasarnya (9,75%) dan juga kandungan lemak kasarnya (1,51%) dalam plasma darah yang berpengaruh pada durasi suara dan bobot tubuh burung perkutut (Geopelia striata). Tidak ada perubahan warna bulu pada burung perkutut dimana warna pada burung perkutut tetap sama yaitu berwarna coklat abu – abu hingga penelitian terakhir.

Zingiberaceae is one of perennial herbaceous plant that was unique to its rhizomes. This is because the Zingiberaceae contains evaporated oil or had an aromatic odor. This research was conducted in February to March 2018 in the Telagah Forest of Gunung Leuser National Park, Langkat Regency. This research used descriptive procedures with observation techniques. The result based on observations obtained 11 species of Zingiberaceae, with 7 Genus of Zingiberaceae. The Globba Genus has the most number of species, 4 species (Globba nawawii Ibrahim & K. AKTIVITAS EKSTRAK DAUN PIRDOT (Saurauia vulcani) TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BAKTERI Escherichia coli 大肠杆菌的红叶提取物(Saurauia vulcani)的活性

Pirdot is a natural medicinal plant contains flavonoids that has antibacterial properties. The bacteria tested in this experiment is E. coli that causes of diarrhea. This study was to determine the antibacterial effect of pirdot leaves made in an extract preparation by the diffusion method using paper discs.. This study also used Tetracycline as a comparison, where this antibiotic is very sensitive to E. coli bacteria. Pirdot leaf extract was made in various concentrations, namely 12.5%, 15%, 17.5% and 20% and 20 mcg and 30 mcg of Tetracycline concentrations. The results showed that pirdot leaf extract in E. coli was able to inhibit with a concentration of 12.5% of 10.41 mm, 15% of 11.71 mm, 17.5% of 14.08%, and 20% of 15.43 mm, while the 20 mcg Tetracycline comparison was 18.73 mm and 20.71 mm at 30 mcg. So the conclussion from this research are the concentration of 12.5% and 15% can not be not said to be antibacterial but at concentrations of 17.5% and 20% can be said to be antibacterial. Smoking is one habit that commonly encountered in everyday life. Smoking both active and passive bodily harm, Youth is a stage in human development. Teens have a high curiosity and often mimic behaviors performed by adults, including smoking and smoking has become a lifestyle among adolescents. This study was conducted to determine the relationship of knowledge and attitudes about the dangers of smoking in young men in UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. This research is an analytic survey with Cross sectional study design. Number of sample 90 respondents using proportional stratified random sampling. Data were collected by using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed by descriptive method. The results showed that 88 young men good knowledgeable and less knowledgeable 2 of young man, as many as 57 young men to be good attitude and 21 were poor attitude of young man, as many as 12 young men behaved badly about the dangers of smoking.

The purpose of this study was to ascertain that the processing of waste egg shells, onion skins, and dried leaves can be organic fertilizer through the process of science and technology as a product that is environmentally friendly and high economic value. This research method is descriptive only quantitative. Research results showed that the waste chicken egg shells, onion skins, and dried mango leaves can be processed into organic fertilizer with high levels of nutrients for organic fertilizer from the eggshell is N 0.18% (medium), P content of 7% (medium) , and levels of C 8% (moderate), substance C - Organic 5.2% (very high), C / N of 30 (very high), for fertilizers from onion skin that is N 0.13% (moderate), the levels of P 4 % (moderate), and levels of C 5% (medium), substance C - Organic 4.8% (high), C / N 23 (high), for fertilizers from the dried leaves are N 0.16% (medium), P content of 6% (moderate), and K content of 5.8% (moderate), substance C - Organic 4% (high), C / N 25 (high), that is worth selling high and can compete, Marketing is done in a flower sales with sales revenue was approximately 8 burlap sack 5 kg of the total sales of 12 jute from each - each organic fertilizer.

The first step of tifoid fever diagnosis is through the test of leukocyte levels using hemadializer. Leukocytes are a major component of body immunity, especially in the fight against infection. Early symptoms of typhoid fever resemble fever in general, so it needs to be continued with more specific test one tubex test as applied to clinical pathology laboratory Islamic Hospital Sakinah Mojokerto. The results obtained are leukocyte levels in patients divided into three categories, below normal limits, normal, and above normal levels. So the case of typhoid fever becomes very interesting to continue to be studied and presented mechanism of the infection in detail.
