Fungal Diversity in Wet and Dry Ripe Plantains: Isolation, Identification, and Implications for Public Health 干湿成熟大蕉中的真菌多样性:分离、鉴定和对公共卫生的影响

The persistent inadequacy of storage facilities in in globally and more prevalent in developing nations leads to substantial annual losses of harvested agricultural produce, severely impacting the economic stability of local farmers. This investigation focuses on the critical public health implications arising from the fungal contamination of stored plantain chips, a delicacy snack in Nigeria, West Africa. Notably, the fungal species isolated, which are Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus niger, Penicillium chrysogenum, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Aspergillus fumigatus, Fusarium spp., Rhizopus stolonifer, and Mucor spp. are critical from a public health perspective. Species such as Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus niger are particularly concerning due to their capacity to produce aflatoxins, which are among the most carcinogenic substances known and have been linked to liver cancer and immune system suppression. The prevalence of these mycotoxins not only compromises the nutritional integrity and safety of the plantain chips but poses severe risks to consumers, highlighting a broader issue of food security and safety. This study brings to the fore the pressing need for interventions that enhance the storage conditions and decrease fungal contamination, thereby reducing the exposure of the population to mycotoxins. The implications of this research extend beyond the economic damage to encompass significant public health concerns, emphasizing the critical need for regulatory, technical, and infrastructural developments to uphold the microbial quality of plantain both in wet and dry states, ensuring safe consumption.

Health and Well-Being Among Elderly 老年人的健康与福祉

The world's population is aging rapidly; by 2025, the elderly, or anyone over 60, are expected to account for 22% of the total population. Even though older adults participate in fewer regenerative activities, the rise in age-related illnesses and impairments puts them at greater risk. This has a number of detrimental social and economic effects on individuals as well as society at large. Methods: A review of the literature was done in the light of these potential problems to locate empirical studies assessing the health and well-being of senior citizens. Results: Empirical data retrieved from multiple studies indicates that seniors who live outside of institutions have higher levels of emotional well-being than those who live in them. This is because the former has access to better medical care, social connections, family care, and financial independence. Older adults without substantial financial resources experience abuse, are left behind, and are no longer included in family decision-making or selection procedures. For this subset of the population, spiritual care is recommended. It follows that seniors should continue exercising and participating in physical activity at the recommended level.

Development of Latent Fingerprints on Various Surfaces- A Review 在各种表面上提取潜伏指纹--综述

In recent times the fingerprints are obtained as key evidence from various crime scenes. This plays a vital role in solving the crime. Fingerprint development on various surfaces by powder method is very easy method for latent fingerprint visualization. Numerous techniques have been documented in the literature for revealing latent fingerprints on a variety of surfaces. In this present review paper, powders rather than standard powders are used for fingerprint development. Fingerprints have been developed on various surfaces using turmeric powder, soil, silica gel G powder, etc. Development of fingerprint on challenging surfaces is difficult. Powders used for fingerprint development is expensive so some easily available, inexpensive, eco-friendly powders are studied in this review.

Psychological Well-being and Digital Intervention in Youngster’s - An Overview 青少年的心理健康与数字干预--概述

This study evaluates and reviews the literature to point out and ascertain the state of mental health and the impact of mental health intervention initiatives on youngster’s psychological well-being. It also throws light on importance of technology in our day-to-day life. Digital technology plays a very important role and offers expanded access to evidence-based interventions. This is a certain fact that many mental health issues and concerns in youngsters may be treated with evidence-based therapies, but the matter of fact is that there are not plenty of options available. Therefore, to ensure the use of technology for mental wellbeing interventions this work was taken up.

Production of Melanin from Bacillus Species Isolated from Rhizosphere Soil 从根瘤土壤中分离的芽孢杆菌产生黑色素

Melanin is an UV protective pigment which has shown its presence all across the living organisms except for viruses, for various functions such as UV-protection, Anti-microbial activity, free radical scavenging activity etc. The pigment is produced in specialized cells called the Melanocytes by the process of Melanogenesis in humans, while it is produced in cytoplasm in bacteria and other prokaryotes. The main enzyme that is responsible for catalyzing the production of melanin from L-tyrosine is ‘Tyrosinase’. It is this enzyme which enables the bacteria to convert amino acid (L-tyrosine) into melanin. The melanin is a polymer which is made from the L-DOPA, DHI, and DHICA monomers. The current study deals with the production and extraction of melanin from Bacillus species isolated from rhizosphere soil of Neelgiri tree and Sagwan tree. The study further deals with melanin and its characterization using UV- visible spectroscopy, FT-IR spectroscopy and its solubility test in different solvents. Undertaking the industrial applications of bacterial melanin, the current study also deals with the UV-protection activity of the extracted melanin, and the antibacterial activity of the melanin extracted from the bacterial isolated.

Fingerprint development remains a crucial aspect of forensic science, aiding in the identification and resolution of criminal cases. This review paper systematically explores the efficacy and potential of various unconventional and natural substances in fingerprint development. Focusing on an array of substances such as turmeric powder, Fuller's clay powder (Multani Mitti), food color, Holi color, durian seeds powder, soil powder, talcum powder, traditional powders, pooja materials, corn seed powder, silica gel G, broccoli powder, medicine powder, salt, sugar powder, and brick powder, this paper discusses their applicability, advantages, limitations, and comparative effectiveness in developing latent fingerprints. The review encompasses studies and experiments conducted to assess the suitability of these substances for fingerprint development across different surfaces and environmental conditions. Additionally, this article examines the environmental and cost-effective benefits of using natural and non-conventional materials in forensic investigations and their sustainability and availability compared to traditional chemical reagents.

Detrimental Effects of Slate Pencil : A Review 石板铅笔的有害影响:回顾

Slate pencil dust, often used in various cultures for its sensory properties, presents a concerning health hazard when inhaled or ingested. The possible harmful effects of slate pencil dust on human health are summed up in this article. The dust’s tiny particles, which are mostly made of minerals like kaolinite and talc, can cause gastrointestinal disorders, respiratory ailments, and dangers to one’s general health. The sources of exposure, the physiological effect of slate pencil dust, and the significance of increasing public awareness are all covered in this review. The result emphasize how important it is to promote safe alternatives and implement preventive measures in order to reduce the health risk related to exposure to slate pencil dust.

‌Dialect refers to different characteristic of language of a specific group of speakers. These dialects are closely related and often mutually understandable, especially if close geographical region. Dialects can be sociolect, ethnolect, or regiolect, and can be associated with social class, ethnic group, or geographical/regional factors .Any variety of a language can classified as a dialect. Migration is most important factor for idiosyncrasy in languages in particular area. A region wise variation in language of people is know as dialect. Dialects is an important aspect of speaker variability. To express the individual  quality of specific  region. Children encounter multi-dialectal interactions. An review paper described techniques contributed for India regional language processing it gives information about sources of dataset for the Indian regional languages.

Development, Validation, Identification and Estimation of Quinoline Yellow in the Levodopa and Carbidopa Pharmaceutical Combined dosage form by Ultra violet Visible Spectrophotometer 用紫外可见分光光度计开发、验证、鉴定和估算左旋多巴和卡比多巴复方制剂中的喹啉黄

A simple, cost-effective, précised, accurate and robust Ultra Violet spectrophotometric method [1, 2 ] has been developed for the Identification and estimation of Quinoline Yellow in the Levodopa and Carbidopa tablet dosage forms. It is used as a colourant in the pharmaceutical tablet’s dosage form. UV scan of Quinoline yellow was taken from the entire UV range of 200 to 800 nm. From the spectrum, maximum absorption was observed at 414nm (λmax) for the Quinoline Yellow. Method was found to be specific with no interference due to blank and placebo, The method was linear with a correlation coefficient of more than 0.999, and Accuracy was in the range of 98.3 to 101.3, In the robustness study employed for standard and sample preparation showed no impact on the results, by deliberate changes proves method is robust and can be utilized for regular analysis. Method validation was performed with reference to ICH guidelines Q2R1.
