With India‟s growing per capita income the lifestyles are also changing in a rapid way. After primary and secondary economic activities, the economic growth engine of the country is now in the hands of retail sector, which changes its landscape into a bigger form contains everything under one roof – shopping mall. This transformation of Indian retail sector has successful evidents in metropolitan cities as well as small towns. This paper tries to understand the changes in urban spaces due to this new retail transformation on Asansol Municipal Corporation of Paschim Bardhaman district of West Bengal. The present study is based on primary as well as secondary sources of data. The results have explained both in quantitative and qualitative methods. The study reveals that consumers are now becoming more brand conscious, comfort seeking and quality biased, at the same time they want to save their time. As a growing industrial urban center, Asansol is evolving with the new retail trend, as a result the urban space is changing and people attract more towards this new trendShopping Mall Culture.

Manhandle and despicable recommending approach of anti-infection agents causes exceptional increment of anti-infection opposition design among the E. coli isolates from clinical sample. This examination was directed to disconnect and recognize multi medicate safe uropathogenic Escherichia coli from urine test of urinary tract contaminated patients by tradition and customary methods. Twenty two (22) UTI urine samples were gathered from patients admitted to close-by healing centers. Portrayal of confined strains were dictated by biochemical tests like Gram recoloring, indole, oxidase, catalase, methyl red, Voges-Proskauer, citrate usage, hemolysis, motility; hydrolysis trial of gelatin and urea; maturation and use trial of glucose, lactose and sucrose. Affectability example of segregates was resolved against some customary and ordinary anti-toxins. From this examination, it was uncovered that 56.75% confines were gram negative. Indole energy was watched for 95.23% of Gram negative disengages. 100% of indole positive isolates were certain for catalase, methyl red, nitrate lessening, motility, and hemolysis, starch maturation on soup medium and starch use on Triple sugar press agar. Cynicism was seen for oxidase, Voges-Proskauer, urease, citrate, and gelatinase test. It was likewise watched that 100% of indole positive disengages gave inspiration on differential media, for example, MacConkey agar and EMB agar. Anti-microbial affectability shows 100% of portrayed strains were multi medicate safe. The discoveries of the investigation proposed that 20 E. coli were distinguished and every one of them were multi medicate safe strains.

Cheryll Glotfelty‟s definition of ecocriticism as “the study of the relationship between literature and the physical environment” has incited the minds of the critics to give a deep thought to the condition of the natural world, constantly under threat due to anthropogenic activities. Activities like deforestation, unreasonable use of natural resources, spreading pollutants in the environment has benefitted man initially but disturbed the ecological equilibrium giving rise to great disasters in the human community. According to William Rueckert, the most glaring problem faced by ecologists is to find grounds upon which both the human and the natural world can coexist and flourish in the same biosphere. Literature plays a vital role in creating/disseminating bioregional consciousness in human beings. Niranjan Mohanty is quite aware of this fact and his poems provide ample illustrations to this. In this paper I shall take up certain representative poems of Mohanty like “A Subtle Difference”, “A Poem that Never Begins”, " Digging", “Kalahandi”, "Grief",“The World”, “Prayers to Lord Jagannatha” etc. to discuss Mohanty‟s consciousness regarding nature which, if disturbed, threatens the existence of man on earth. X Little we see in Nature that is ours; We have given our hearts away, a sordid boon! This sea that bears her bosom to the moon; The winds that will be howling at all hours, And are up-gathered now like sleeping flowers; For this, for everything, we are out of tune; It moves us not. (―The World is Too Much with Us‖ MP, 180) This sonnet by Wordsworth very well express the insensitiveness of human beings towards the beauty of nature. Men are always busy in amassing more and more wealth and spending those. What Wordsworth said years ago is more than true in this post-modern age. Nature has always been a constant source of support to human beings but human beings have always exploited nature for their own benefit. Compared to nature‘s benevolence towards human beings, man has done very little for nature. The different activities of man like deforestation, unreasonable use of natural resources, spreading pollutants in the environment through various activities have not only threatened nature but also threatened the existence of man on earth. The consumerist attitude of man has disturbed the ecological equilibrium which has led to very big disasters in the human community. Therefore, for a safe and healthy living, maintenance of ecological balance should be one of the primary concerns of man. The 20 th century has led scientists, artists and critics to think and develop ways to create an awareness in man regarding nature and her preservation. This has given birth to a new genre called ―nature writing‖. The relationship between living organisms and their environment are very active, one affecting the other either with its presence or absence. This serious issue has created a new branch of literary theory called Ecocriticism, defined by Cheryll Glotfe

Learning styles and strategies differ from one to another. They are acquired only through practice and experience. The proper understanding and recognition of styles and strategies help us to improve the quality of learning. Learning styles are of different kinds. Environmental factors also determine the qualitative learning .School education is entirely different from college education. Teachers painstakingly explain, read out the text and ask questions to check understanding at schools. At college, the teacher no longer occupies the centre stage because lecture method is adopted. A learner ought to go beyond the lecture to purse learning. A learner adopts new learning skills and techniques for better understanding of his/her subject. Such learning styles and strategies make the students more active learners. The 21 st century learner is a smart learner. Various theories and principles of language learning and language acquisition have been propounded over the past few centuries. It has resulted numerous approaches and practices ranging from structural approaches to communicative approaches. There is a huge gulf between linguistic competence and practices of the ESL students in India. In the backdrop of the present scenario of learning English as a second language, teachers play a strategic role in English classrooms. Teaching strategy in acquisition of learning English language is a matter of concern of English teachers across the country. The teachers are in quest of teaching methodologies to make it innovative and critical. As a result, the student can face the challenges of life through sound and convincing English communication skill. Communication is an artistic job. It enhances the power, authority and challenge of life. Life is pleasant and awesome with an excellent, enjoyable English communication skill. .Language is the greatest achievement of human intelligence and the best means of communication. Effective communication elevates one to an honorable height in the society. It is fundamental attribute of cultural identity and empowerment, both for the individual and group.
