This study investigated the general characteristics of mobility disadvantaged persons with disabilities, and to suggest implications to ensure personal mobility with the greatest possible independence for the physically disabled in community. The survey questionnaire included the categories as follows: the general characteristics of the participants, the status of outing and mobility, usage of low-floor buses & taxi for the disabled, service improvement, and mobile support center. Data collected from 219 with physical disabilities were analyzed for this purpose by using descriptive statistics. The study results showed that 54.6% of the total tended to go out everyday, and 17.0% rarely. 53.4% could go out without any assistance, and the major obstacles not to go out were stairs and inconvenience of public transportation. 26.9% used low-floor buses, and 71.1% preferred to use taxi for the disabled. The average waiting time for the usage of low-flow buses and taxi was 66.57 minute and 42.65 minute, separately. 78.7% insisted that the function of mobile support center in the community should be expanded, whereas only 49.8% recognized the role of mobile support center. Based on the study results, the researchers suggested to facilitate access by persons with disabilities to mobility aids, and to improve the actual state of pedestrian environment. In addition, the function of mobile support center should be expanded to help the mobility disadvantaged persons live independently in community, thereby contributing to the promotion of their quality of life.

In spite of various safety measures, coastal safety accidents continue to occur, so this study focused on using drones as countermeasures. Municipalities that already have coasts have begun operating unmanned multicopters for coastal safety management. In particular, by connecting an unmanned multi-copter to the currently applied smart city safety net system, it is possible to transmit real-time images of the scene in case of emergency in the coastal area to the local government safety information center. It is also expected to contribute significantly to strengthening safety management in coastal waters through a more rapid response to safety accidents. Therefore, in this paper, we propose the use of drones as an alternative to the limitations of the domestic coastal safety system by investigating the state of coastal safety accidents and analyzing the state of domestic coastal safety systems. In addition, it is expected to be a key breakthrough in the coastal area safety system by proposing a model linking the Korean K-Drone system.

The method of the edge detection algorithm based on grayscale mathematical morphology has the advantage that image noise can be removed and processed in parallel, and the operation speed is fast. However, the method of detecting the edge of an image using a single structural scale element may be affected by image information. The characteristics of grayscale morphology may be limited to the edge information result of the operation result by repeatedly performing expansion, erosion, opening, and containment operations by repeating structural elements. In this paper, we propose an edge detection algorithm that applies a structural element with strong directionality to noise and then applies weighted entropy to each pixel information in the element. The result of applying the multi-scale structural element applied to the image and the result of applying the directional weighted entropy were compared and analyzed, and the simulation result showed that the proposed algorithm is superior in edge detection.

This study is to suggest improvements of personal information protection in South Korea, according to requiring the safety of process and protection of personal information. Accordingly, based on data collection and analysis through literature research, this study derived the issues and suitable standards of personal information for major artificial intelligence services. In addition, this cases studies were reviewed, focusing on the legal compliance and porcessing compliance for personal information proection in major countries. And it suggested the improvement plan applied in South Korea. As the results, in legal compliance, it is required reorganization of related laws, responsibility and compliance to develop and provide AI, and operation of risk management for personal information protection laws in AI services. In terms of processing compliance, first, in pre-processing and refining, it is necessary to standardize data set reference models, control data set quality, and voluntarily label AI applications. Second, in development and utilization of algorithm, it is need to establish and apply a clear regulation of the algorithm. As such, South Korea should apply suitable improvement tasks for personal information protection of safe AI service.

The aim of the study was to evaluate the physiological activity of Lycium ruthenicum to investigate their potential as a raw material that can be used in the cosmetic industry. L. ruthenicum fruit extracts were obtained using 70% methanol(LRM) and hot-water(LRW). The DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging abilities were higher in the LRM extract than in the LRW extract. The FRAP value of LRM was about 1.3-fold greater than that of LRW. The polyphenol contents of LRM and LRW were 31.883±1.395 mg/g and 27.748±2.741 mg/g respectively. LRM inhibited the generation of NO in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells. LRM also attenuated the expression of COX-2, PGE2, IL-6, and TNF-α induced by LPS. These results suggests that L. ruthenicum fruits could be use as a source of natural antioxidants and anti-inflammatory agent in cosmetic products.

This study is a descriptive research study to investigate the effects of critical thinking and empathy on resilience of nursing students. The subjects of this study were 234 nursing students in the 4 th grade and the data were collected from June 3 to 19, 2019. Data was processed by descriptive statistics, t-test, correlation analysis, and multiple regression method. As a result of the study, critical thinking and empathy showed a significant positive relationship with resilience. Critical thinking and empathy were factors that influence the resilience of nursing students and the resilience was explained as 70.3%. Therefore, in order to increase the resilience of nursing students it is considered that an education program that strengthens internal factors can cultivate critical thinking and empathy skills is necessary.

This study was conducted to investigate the impact of emotional intelligence according to the level of interpersonal relation competence. For the study, data were collected from 126 students in the department of nursing at a university located in B city from November 29 to December 16, 2019, and data were analyzed by Anova and Regression analysis. The interpersonal relation competence of nursing students was classified into less than 60 and 60 or more. In the group with an average of less than 60 in interpersonal relation competence. nursing students' self-emotional expression and control of others were significant positive effecting factors for interpersonal relation competence(explanatory power, 22.5%). In the group with an average of 60 or more in interpersonal relationship competence, self-emotional expression and Motivation were significant effecting factors(explanatory power 33.6%). According to the results of this study, we propose an individual approach according to their level of interpersonal relation competence for nursing education to improve the interpersonal relation competence abilities of nursing students.

This study analyzed the financing ratio by operation fund financing method and their impact on management performance according to the establishment operation management entity of the medical institution. For the analysis method, ANOVA, logistic regression, and regression analysis were conducted using financial information registered with HASPA.The results of the study, The ratio of gross revenue to operating funds differed significantly depending on the establishment operation management entity. In addition, it was found that the financing ratio of each operation fund financing method was significantly related to the management results(deficit, surplus), and the impact of the operation fund financing method on management performance differed according to the establishment operation management entity. As a result, the management of operating funds of medical institutions is deemed appropriate to apply cost management first considering the ratio of revenue to operating funds, and then to utilize internal operating funds.

In this paper, the meta-model based approximate optimization was carried out for the structure design of an ocean automatic salt collector in order to minimize the structure weight. The structural analysis was performed by using the finite element method to evaluate the strength performance of the ocean automatic salt collector in its initial design. In the structural analysis, it was evaluated the strength performance of the design load conditions. The optimum design problem was formulated so that design variables of main structure thickness would be determined by minimizing the structure weight subject to strength performance constraints. The meta-models used in the approximate optimization were the response surface method, Kriging model, and Chebyshev orthogonal polynomials. Regarding to the numerical characteristics, the solution results from approximate optimization techniques were compared to the results of non-approximate optimization. The Chebyshev orthogonal polynomials among the meta-models used in the approximate optimization showed the most appropriate optimum design results for the structure design of the ocean automatic salt collector.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of computational thinking course on learning flow and collaborative self-efficacy of university students and to explore the effectiveness of computational thinking course as liberal arts education. For this study, 177 freshmen at a university in Chungnam Province were surveyed learning flow and collaborative self-efficiency. The collected data were analyzed with Stata IC 14 for χ2 test and t-test. The results of this study are as follows. First, the learning flow of students who took computational thinking course were significantly higher(t=3.837 p<.001) compared to those who did not. Second, the collective self-efficiency of students who took computational thinking course were significantly higher(t=2.277 p<.01) compared to those who did not. Therefore the results show that computational course has positive effects on learning flow and collaborative self-efficiency of university students. Based on these findings, discussions and implications were presented on the importance and effectiveness of computational thinking course.
