Investigation on the dielectric properties of CaCu3Ti4+xO12+2x cuu3ti4 +xO12+2x介电性能研究

Investigation on the dielectric properties of CaCu3Ti4+xO12+2x was carried out when x was altered in the range from -0.5 to 0.5. For x= -0.5, it was found through XRD that besides primary CCTO phase, there are also CuO and CaTiO3 phases. For x= 0.5, additional TiO2 was found besides dominating CCTO phase. When x increases from -0.5 to 0.5, it was found that dielectric constant decreases, varistor voltage and non-linear coefficient increase while the dielelctric loss decreases. According to IBLC theory, it is suggested that the change of the grain boundary structure results in different barrier height and surface state when x changes.

High field conduction behavior of nanocomposite of low-density polyethylene and Ag nanoparticles 低密度聚乙烯与银纳米复合材料的高场导电性

High field conduction of the composite of nano Ag/low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and pure polyethylene is studied, as well as the effect of the contents of nano Ag on high field conduction. Schottky effect, Poole-Frenkel effect, space-charge-limited conduction (SCLC), and ion hopping conduction are used to fit the results. It is pointed out that both space-charge-limited conduction and Poole-Frenkel effect do not fit well for all of the samples. However, it is found that Schottky effect fits well for nano Ag/LDPE composites, and the ion hoping distance of the nanocomposite calculated from the experience data shows that ion hopping conduction fits for the composite of nano Ag/LDPE.

A simulation for packet formation in XLPE films XLPE薄膜中包形成的模拟

Periodic packet formation in an oxidized cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) was discussed through a computer simulation, where negative space-charge packet is assumed to be due to deficiency in mobile holes. Under high field, a positive carrier (hole) is generated from the acceptor (impurity) site to a hopping site and trapped there once. It is detrapped by hopping or recombines with the parent ion. At the same time, the acceptor is negatively ionized and behaves as an immobile negative charge. The packet-like behavior was reproduced by introducing extra coefficient of diffusion term. The mechanisms of carrier generation and problems of computer simulation were discussed.

The measurement of space charge in solid insulation of inverter-fed motor 变频电机固体绝缘空间电荷的测量

In order to explain the phenomenon of the polymer aged even breakdown under electric stress, the relationship between the space charge and the polymer residual life is studied both in domestic and abroad laboratories. An apparatus that can directly measure the space charge distribution in the polymer insulation materials is developed. Then the space charge distribution in the polymer insulation used in PWM inverter fed motors is tested. Effects of different test condition including pole voltage and frequency are investigated in order to find the aging rule and microcosmic behave of the polymer insulation which worked under the PWM voltage.

Identification of surface discharge based on discharge current waveform in composite insulation system of LN2 and solid insulator 基于放电电流波形的LN2 -固体绝缘子复合绝缘系统表面放电识别

Composite insulation system of liquid nitrogen (LN2) and solid insulator, which are widely employed in high-temperature superconducting power equipments, can be deteriorated by partial discharge (PD) generated in highly stressed region such as a triple junction. To investigate the PD mechanism, an individual current waveform of PD generated around the triple junction in LN2 or gaseous nitrogen (GN2) was measured. The longer half bandwidth and the shorter half bandwidth on the PD current waveform were typically observed in LN2, After passing low-pass filter, the PD pattern in LN2 was clearly separated into two clusters. The half bandwidth, being longer in the two clusters, also agreed with that in GN2 at 77 K. Therefore, it is suggested that the current waveform measurement with the measurement of the PD pattern brings the possibility to ascertain presence of the bubbles in LN2. And a frequency analysis of PD current waveform also leads to the appropriate separation between the PD in LN2 and that in bubbles.

Development of 3-D electromagnetic field intensity measurement system using infrared 2-D lock-in amplifier 基于红外二维锁相放大器的三维电磁场强度测量系统的研制

We have developed a 3-D electromagnetic field measurement system using 2-D lock-in amplifier. In this system, a modulated amplitude of electromagnetic wave is illuminated to an absorption screen to generate a heat distribution. A very small change of temperature on a screen illuminated with the modulated electromagnetic wave is measured using an infrared thermograph camera. To show the usefulness of the developed system, we compare the observed temperature change distribution to the optical power distribution emitted from LED light source. From the result, we found that the system is well working and it is possible to measure the temperature change in order of several mK (milli-Kelvin). Furthermore, we tried to use it for measuring an invisible GHz electromagnetic wave. We illuminated the electromagnetic wave to a conductor with shape of ldquoOrdquo. When we observed the temperature change on the screen putting behind the conductor, we can have a clear image of the shape of ldquoOrdquo.

The measurement and temperature profile of cable insulation failure due to loose connection at the cable termination 电缆端部因连接松动导致电缆绝缘失效的测量及温度分布

One of the dominant factors of cable termination fault in medium voltage circuit breaker compartment is due to excessive heating phenomenon. The excessive high temperature area will lead to degradation of the cable insulation. This eventually will lead to insulation failure and hence cable breakdown. The insulation failure may subsequently and causes fire in the cable compartment. A series of experiments were setup to measure the temperature profiles around the terminations and outside the cable termination compartment, with different scenarios. The results from the experiment will give a big contribution in future development of detection system of the fault termination in circuit breaker compartment.

Role of additive for polycyclic compound in the suppression of electrical tree generation in LDPE 多环化合物添加剂在抑制LDPE电树生成中的作用

The influence of addition of polycyclic compounds into LDPE upon electrical tree initiation was investigated to demonstrate the fundamental role of the aromatic compound in the tree initiation process. Five kinds of the polycyclic compounds were used in this study; naphthalene (Np), anthracene (An), 9,10-bromoanthracene (Br-An), tetracene (Te) and pentacene (Pn). The experimental results indicated that the tree initiation voltage (TIV) depend on the kind of polycyclic compounds added to LDPE. TIV for ldquoPE/Anrdquo is the highest, and is about 3.5 times higher than that for ldquoPErdquo (without additive). TIV for ldquoPE/Br-Anrdquo is the secondly highest. However, the scatter for ldquoPE/Br-Anrdquo is much wider than that for ldquoPE/Anrdquo. TIVs for ldquoPE/Terdquo and ldquoPE/Pnrdquo are not significantly higher than that for ldquoPErdquo. The addition of ldquoNprdquo has almost no effect on the increase in TIV. The mechanisms for the increase in TIV are discussed based on the experimental results with the pi-electron effects for absorption of kinetic energy of the hot electron and observations of deposit of the additive in the test materials by AFM and SEM.

Five kinds of the polycyclic compounds were used in this study; naphthalene (Np), anthracene (An), 9,10-bromoanthracene (Br-An), tetracene (Te) and pentacene (Pn). The experimental results indicated that the tree initiation voltage (TIV) depend on the kind of polycyclic compounds added to LDPE. TIV for ldquoPE/Anrdquo is the highest, and is about 3.5 times higher than that for ldquoPErdquo (without additive). TIV for ldquoPE/Br-Anrdquo is the secondly highest. However, the scatter for ldquoPE/Br-Anrdquo is much wider than that for ldquoPE/Anrdquo. TIVs for ldquoPE/Terdquo and ldquoPE/Pnrdquo are not significantly higher than that for ldquoPErdquo. The addition of ldquoNprdquo has almost no effect on the increase in TIV. The paper studies dielectric properties of elastomer filled with Ni spherical particles of different sizes within the range 35 - 115 mum. The experimental analysis is followed by the examination permittivity/conductivity mixing rules. A new mixing formula for the composite system consisting of spherical metallic particles and polymer matrix is presented. This formula includes both Ni particle content and Ni particle size as two independent variables.

Fundamental study on relaxation processes of water tree in aged power cables aimed for diagnosis with spatial resolution 针对空间分辨率诊断的老化电缆水树松弛过程的基础研究

Water tree is a degradation mode of power cable with polymeric insulation. A water tree is composed of small droplets filled with water. As the conductivity in water tree is very high, it leads to dielectric breakdown when it grows up. As inside the water tree is filled with trap sites, it is polarized with a certain distribution of relaxation time when a DC poling voltage is applied. Although its depolarization process after removing the poling voltage is determined by ambient temperature, applying a ldquodepolarizing voltagerdquo with the opposite polarity can accelerate the process. If a short pulse propagating through the cable is employed as a depolarization voltage, we may locate the water tree by looking at the time-resolved pulse response. This would lead to a diagnosing method with spatial resolution. In order to retain 100 m of spatial resolution, the response should be as sharp as 1 mus. As a preliminary study, a coaxial communication cable was aged to form water trees. A DC poling voltage was applied followed by a pulse voltage with opposite polarity. The rising time of the pulse was several hundreds of microseconds. A sharp pulsive current response with 50 mus in width was observed, suggesting that a rapid depolarization took place. No such response was seen when the cable specimen was not aged. We concluded that the technique is quite feasible.
