This research aims to understand the phenomenon of book piracy from Tere Liye's point of view in one of his novels entitled Selamat Tinggal. This study uses a qualitative methodology through the sociology of literature which emphasizes the sociology of the author and his novel. The results of this study indicate that book piracy is a theft of copyright by book printers, sellers, supported by the large number of buyers of pirated books and the absence of serious legal efforts of this crime. Tere Liye, as an author, creates the novel Selamat Tinggal as a medium of his protest as well as a message to readers of literary works to stop buying pirated books and respect the copyright. Through the story, Tere Liye shows the process of honesty and achieving harmony between speech and action which are summarized in the value of integrity. This is illustrated in the main character's efforts to stop being involved in the pirated bookstore business.

The aim of this study is to determine the type of verbs that can be placed before and after subordinate conjunctions ~to, relationship between both clauses, and grammatical meaning which is contained in the (V-ru)To (V-Ta) sentence pattern. This study uses a classification based on the theory of Tomomasu, et al and theory of Sunakawa, et al about ~to~ta pattern’s meaning which is divided into four types, there are Kikkake (trigger), Hakken (discovery), Guuzen (coincidence), and Renzoku (continuation). This study uses the Simak method for collecting the data, and using Padan Referensial method for analysis the data. Based on the analysis result, it is found that the type of verbs that can be placed before and after subordinate conjunctions ~to are same. The difference is that sonzai wo arawasu doushi (existence verbs) and joutai wo arawasu doushi (verbs that express situation) can be placed after the subordinate conjunctions ~to. Both syntactically and semantically, it is found that the subordinate conjunctions ~to in Kikkake's meaning is to show a mutual influencing relationship and the existence of a presuppositional modality also explain the causal relationship between clauses. The Hakken’s meaning is to shows an explanatory relationship also shows the discovery in the second clause. The Guuzen’s meaning connects two unrelated events and shows the movement of the third person. The Renzoku’s meaning is to relate several activities carried out on the basis of the speaker’s wishes.

BIPA learning includes learning reading, listening, writing, and speaking skills. All of these skills can represent the second language ability that has been acquired by a person. However, second language students often experience problems when learning a second language, for example when Korean students learn Indonesian as a second language. This can be observed from the inaccuracy of utterances found when speakers speak Indonesian. The inaccuracy of this utterance can be seen from two aspects, namely pronunciation and sentence structure. However, so far there has been no research on this even though research related to inaccuracies can be used as notes for BIPA teachers to classify words that must be exposed to students. Therefore, research related to speech imprecision needs to be done. The research method used is a case study qualitative research using oral speech data of Korean students during BIPA class and collected by tapping technique. The results of this study can be classified into two, namely the inaccuracy of speech in pronunciation and inaccuracy of speech in the structure of sentence functions. First, the inaccuracy of speech in pronunciation found is a change in consonant sounds, especially sound [k] and nasal sound [ŋ]. Second, the inaccuracy of speech in the sentence function structure category is (1) the inaccuracy of the structure of the function, namely the existence of a sentence structured S + O + P, (2) the inaccuracy of the arrangement of the types of words used to occupy the structure of the sentence function, namely the use of adverbs after the verb and the use of affixed verbs, and (3) the addition of personal and particle pronouns.

This study aims to reveal the meaning of cultural shift in the poem "Diorama" by Sosiawan Leak. The theory used for cultural shift is Van Dijk's critical discourse analysis model. This research has a descriptive qualitative design with a theoretical approach to Van Dijk's critical discourse analysis model. The source of research data is the poem "Diorama" by Sosiawan Leak. Van Dijk's critical discourse analysis consists of an analysis of the structure in the text, cognition, and the social context that surrounds the discourse. The data collection technique uses reading techniques in the form of heuristics related to linguistics or language conventions based on interpreter findings, while hermeneutics is based on readings made to interpret the "Diorama" poem based on the scalpel used. The data analysis technique used is content analysis, with the technique of presenting research results based on the discourse analysis of the Teun A. Van Dijk model. The results show that the poem "Diorama" reflects various forms of resistance and criticism of the colonization of the media crew in an effort to reveal oppression, violence, injustice, alienation, and education that is not intellectual.
