The Competence Collaboration of Guidance and Counselling Teachers in Indonesia 印尼辅导教师的能力协作

Collaboration competence is a competence that needs to be mastered by every guidance and counseling teacher. It functions as a means of supporting the provision of guidance and counseling services at a school. Further, interdisciplinary collaboration is partnership cooperation in a team that involves professionals from various fields of science. It is done through coordination and collaboration for the sake of having the best decision-making in an effort of developing programs. This study attempted to determine the level of guidance and counseling teachers' interdisciplinary collaboration competence viewed from gender, age, and educational levels. In terms of methods, the current study used the scale of the Index of Interdisciplinary Collaboration (IIC) designed by (Bronstein, 2002). A total of 1161 guidance and counseling teachers throughout Indonesia were selected as respondents. Their data were analyzed using a descriptive analysis technique. Based on the findings, it is concluded that the overall level of guidance and counseling teachers' collaboration competence is low.

Divergent Thinking Process of Prospective Mathematics Teachers: A Case Study of an Open-Ended Problem 未来数学教师的发散思维过程:一个开放式问题的个案研究

Divergent thinking is important for fostering creativity. This study aims to analyze the process of divergent thinking in solving open-ended problems and its cognitive characteristics. The method applied is qualitative. Researchers obtained data with test and interview techniques. Data analysis consists of reduction, display, and conclusion. Based on the level of creativity, three students were taken as informants by purposive sampling. Researchers determine the divergent thinking process from identification, exploration, construction, and evaluation. Students in the very creative, creative, and quite creative categories can write down initial information and the core of the problem. The exploration phase provides information to obtain an initial solution. Students are quite creative not to write down relevant information due to a lack of initial knowledge. Students in the very creative and creative category can create different and new ideas at the construction stage. The main focus at the evaluation stage is examining the completion process and the relevance of the answers to the problem.

Developing Items to Measure the Assessment Literacy of ESL Teachers 英语教师评估素养测评项目的开发

This study aims to develop a reliable instrument measuring the assessment literacy of ESL teachers through Exploratory Factor Analysis based on five constructs. A survey was administered to 200 secondary school ESL teachers. The study revealed that only 78 items with a cut-off point of above .60 from the factor loading are retained. Cronbach’s Alpha showed that the items retained are reliable. This study developed and validated an instrument to measure ESL teachers’ assessment literacy in the Malaysian context. An assessment literacy framework can be developed based on this research which will benefit the education field in Malaysia.

Online Learning Process During the New Normal Post COVID-19 in Indonesia: A Case Study at the Universitas Negeri Padang 新冠肺炎疫情后印尼新常态下的在线学习进程:以巴东内杰里大学为例

The research purpose is to see the effectiveness of online learning in Indonesia during the post-COVID-19 new normal period for 2020-2021. The research method used descriptive quantitative with the population being undergraduate students at Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) with samples of undergraduate students in three (3) faculties, namely Language and Arts, Social Sciences, and Mathematics and Natural Sciences. The results show that the online learning process at UNP is running effectively because the online learning process has been initiated since 2013 so that lecturers and undergraduate students have sufficient insight and knowledge about online learning.
研究目的是了解2020-2021年新冠肺炎疫情后新常态时期印尼在线学习的有效性。研究方法采用描述性定量方法,人口为巴东大学(UNP)的本科生,样本为三(3)个学院的本科生,即语言与艺术、社会科学和数学与自然科学。结果表明,UNP的在线学习流程运行有效,因为在线学习流程自2013年开始启动,因此讲师和本科生对在线学习有足够的见解和知识。

Cognitive Load Theory for ESL Students: Mixed Method to Employ Difficulty in Using Tenses While Writing ESL学生的认知负荷理论:运用时态写作难度的混合方法

The present study aimed to determine learners’ problems in using English tenses. By utilizing the pre-test to have students compose their own paragraphs in 12 different tenses and through LearningApps.org, the researcher distributed the post-test self-created questions. The research employed a mixed research method, and the findings were presented. This study focused on 96 Bachelor of Technology students also learning English as a second language. The results show that past perfect tense, future perfect tense and simple past tenses are the most commonly problematic writing skills by the learners. These issues are linked to the difficulties of employing the appropriate aspect and tense in the appropriate context, interference from second languages, a lack of repetition in practice, and student’s level of language proficiency. In addition, it is recommended that teachers employ various methods that are appropriate to teaching tenses to help students develop their writing abilities.

Analysis of Student’s Mathematical Literacy Ability in Solving HOTS Problems in Minimum Competency Assessment 最低能力评估中学生数学素养问题解题能力分析

This study aims to determine the level of mathematical literacy in the Minimum Competency Assessment. Qualitative methods were used as the research approach, and data was collected through tests. The results showed that the research subjects required special intervention on all indicators. At the basic competency level, the subjects could explore problems and connect known elements, but they struggled with formulating problems, strategizing, interpreting, and evaluating. At the competent competency level, the subjects did not write down the results of exploring problems, but they could pass other indicators well. On the other hand, advanced competency level literacy skills fulfilled all indicators. The study findings suggest that solving mathematical literacy questions requires both understanding and reasoning skills to enable students to make effective decisions.

The Role and Significance of the Eastern Spiritual Heritage in Modern Education 东方精神遗产在现代教育中的作用与意义

The article focuses on the need to improve the educational and methodological foundations for studying social life and educational processes in Central Asia (end of the 12th century - first half of the 14th century), as well as on the role and significance of the spiritual heritage of the East in the modern education system. The study results are classified according to the types of moral, spiritual, philosophical, artistic, and didactic writings, with their methodological basis, general and particular aspects. There were used comparative, chronological systematic analysis methods, and complex, historical, and logical approaches. Also, the article discusses the educational institutions of the end of the 12th century - the first half of the 14th century, the major scientific institutions of that time, the educational system and stages, and the usage of educational methods and tools. The role of didactic works in the education of a perfect person, the structure and content of didactic works, and the harmony of culture, school, and pedagogical views in didactic works were explained in tables.

Conceptual Framework for the Design of Electronic Textbook for EFL Students 英语学生电子教材设计的概念框架

The relevance of creating new educational products is justified by the tasks of informatization of the education system, the solution of which is largely determined by the extent to which new information technologies are introduced into the structure and content of the textbook, as the main educational book, which in turn determines the quality of the educational process. Several reforms have been implemented to develop textbooks and manuals of a new generation and introduce information and communication technologies into the educational process, as well as e learning in general. The insufficient equipment of higher educational institutions with modern educational and scientific aids prompted to reconsider this problem based on the study of foreign experience and the introduction of an innovative approach because the textbook is a necessary tool, without which it is impossible to obtain deep versatile knowledge.

Exploring the Effectiveness of Graphic Organizers on EFL Learners’ Writing Performance Across Different Learning Style Preference and Gender at Higher Education 探讨图形组织者对不同学习风格、偏好和性别的高等教育英语学习者写作表现的影响

The research investigated the interaction effect amongst types of writing strategy (x1), learning styles (x2), and gender (x3) on writing accuracy (y) at Islamic University Students. The 70 participants consisted of three groups based on types of writing strategy: free writing (n= 34) versus graphic organizers (n=36); types of learning styles : visual (n=22) versus auditory (n=26) versus kinesthetic (n=22); and gender (x3): male (32), female (38). A three-way ANOVA test was applied in the investigation. The study revealed that an interaction effect occurred amongst three variables on average of writing accuracy at F (2, 69) =3.34, p=0.02, eta 0.10. Then, the interaction effect also occurred between writing strategy and learning styles at F (2, 69) =7.40, p=0.01; and between learning styles and gender at F (2, 69) =6.56, p=0.03. On the contrary, the interaction effect did not occur between writing strategy and gender at F (1, 69) =1.79, p=0.19. Further investigation is needed to validate the finding.

Psychological Capital and Professional Identity: A Study of Professional Business Students 心理资本与职业认同:对专业商科学生的研究

This research article reports the results and findings of an online survey questionnaire administered to 593 Masters of Business Administration (MBA) students using the MCPIS-9 and PCQ-12 instruments that measure Professional Identity (ProfId) and Psychological Capital (PsyCap), respectively. The results indicated a strong sense of ProfId (M = 4.2/5.0, SD = 0.66, N = 593), and a significant and positive relationship (p < .01, ΔR2adj = .25, N = 593) between PsyCap and ProfId. The results of this study represent a fruitful, albeit initial, foray into the ProfId and PsyCap of professional business students. The implications of these results inform and equip program stakeholders to devise curricular and pedagogical approaches to support students’ sense of self in their career trajectory.
