Effects of parasitic capacitances on the small-signal frequency response of a regulated dc-to-dc converter designed for discontinuous-mmf operation 非连续毫米波工作的直流-直流稳压变换器的寄生电容对小信号频率响应的影响

The presence of parasitic capacitances in the power stage of a dc-to-dc converter designed for discontinuous-mmf operation results in a ringing of the mmf during the time that the mmf is intended to be equal to zero. With a constant-frequency controller, this ringing is shown to result in a widely fluctuating small-signal loop gain for relatively small changes in operating conditions. This fluctuating loop gain, which cannot be predicted by present-day smal1-signal-modeling techniques, may result in instability if not allowed for in the design process.

A simulator of photovoltaic generators with programmable electrical characteristics is presented. The proposed system is composed of analog and digital circuits and allows to automatically reproduce in the laboratory the electrical behaviour of PV cells under a variety of solar radiation and temperature conditions.

Base drive for high current low loss bipolar power transistor switches 用于大电流低损耗双极功率晶体管开关的基驱动

After an overview of literature on base drives, a new transformer coupled base drive circuit is described which is particularly suitable for high current transistor switches. It has the advantages of very low component count and cost, small size and high efficiency with no driver transistors being rated at full base current. The operation of the main transistor in deep saturation results in low conduction losses, and the dynamic characteristics of the switch are shown to be suitable for inverter applications. A simple mathematical model is proposed and experimental results on a drive for a 350A switch are given.

Control of switched-mode converter harmonic-free terminal waveforms through internal energy storage 利用内部储能控制开关模式变换器无谐波终端波形

It is shown that internal low-frequency energy storage can be used to achieve harmonic-free operation and controllable power factors in converters whose desired operations require unequal instantaneous input and output powers, such as in single-phase rectifiers, inverters, cycloconverters, and reactive power generators. A systematic synthesis and analysis technique is developed for such converters. This technique can be used to find all converters which can be obtained from a given set of network elements. Since this technique includes converter dynamics, it leads to a systematic procedure for the design of these converters for given specifications with minimum component size.

Small-Signal Frequency Response Theory for piecewise-constant two-switched-network dc-to-dc converter systems 分段常数双开关网络dc- dc变换器系统的小信号频率响应理论

Small-Signal Frequency Response Theory is a theory for calculating the output spectrum of ideal dc-to-dc converter systems, i.e. systems with system coefficients piecewise constant in time, for a given spectrum of the signal injected into the control-input, in the small-signal limit. This theory, unlike other methods, can be applied to both resonant and PWM converters, and gives analytic results in closed form for ideal converters. This paper discusses the special case of ideal two-switched-network converter systems in PWM, programmed, and bang-bang operation. For the examples under study, theoretical prediction and experimental results are found to differ by at most 2dB in amplitude and 10 degrees in phase at most frequencies up to three times the switching frequency. Examples are given in this paper for which the theory gives the correct prediction, while other methods fail.

The D.C. loop-gain of PWM voltage regulators PWM稳压器的直流回路增益

The open-loop-gain of PWM voltage regulators at f = 0 can be expressed by simple formulae that are derived in this paper by means of charge and energy balances and the Campbell theorem. The three basic circuit topologies (Buck, Boost, Buck-Boost) are analysed both in the conventional duty-cycle control mode and in the current control mode. As each circuit can work either in the continuous or in the discontinuous conduction mode, a total of twelve formulae emerge. The effect of the slope compensation in the continuous current- mode is also discussed.

Two-dimensional calculations on multiple field limiting ring structures can be simplified if wide rings are used. A design method using this assumption is presented, where the optimum ring design is determined from interpolations between single ring data. Influence of different parameter variations on ring design or on voltage yield is discussed.

In this paper, a piecewise linearization of non-linear magnetic characteristics for a drive is proposed to generalize an earlier proposed control algorithm [1] to the case with the saturation. A piecewise linearization with respect to current is crucial for extending the Floquet theory based variable transformations to this case. However, any smooth function in rotor angle 8 can be used to approximate the flux linkage characteristics. The details of a nonlinear voltage control which produce a desired torque are given in the paper. The main result can be used as a method of generalizing the Floquet theory based variable transformations for any drive, when the saturation has to be included. In this sense, the method could be used as a rigorous method of extending the vector control techniques to the case with the saturation.
