Objective: To assess the incidence of the associated meniscal ligament (ML) with the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears in hospital A in Medina-KSA. And to see the effect of sports activities in comparison between males and females. Materials and Methods: In a retrospective study, ninety-nine patients' knee magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) records were selected conveniently from the (A) hospital's picture archiving and communication system (PACS). Patients with suspected anterior cruciate and meniscal ligament' tears were included. Patients with posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) tear, medial collateral ligament (MCL) or lateral collateral ligament (LCL) injury, and previously operated index knees were excluded. All patients were scanned by a 1.5T MRI machine using standard MRI knee scanning protocol. The categorical and continuous variables were presented as percentages, frequencies, and descriptive statistics. The cross-tabulations and chi-square test were applied to obtain the statistical associations between the study variables. A statistical association was considered significant if the P-value was < 0.05. Results: 72 males and 27 females were included, with a mean age of 33 ± 2.43. 42.4% of the knee tears were ML tears, followed by associated (ACL with ML) tears, noted in 31.3%, and 26.3% were ACL tears. The tears were more frequent in the age group (31-40), reported in 35.3% (out of 99). There was no statistical association between the tears and the participants' age, gender, or sports activities; P value = 0.3, 0.5, and 0.9, respectively. Conclusion: The study concluded that the isolated ML tears were more frequent than the associated (ACL with ML) tears—moreover, there was no significant statistical association between the participants' age, gender, or sports activities.

Mammea suriga is a familiar endemic medicinal plant belonging to the family Guttiferae/Clusiaceae, grows abundantly in the Western Ghats of India. The present investigation focuses on studying the phytoconstituents as well as antioxidant and antimicrobial properties of bark and leaf extracts. Phytochemical screening showed the presence of carbohydrates, phenolics, flavonoids, alkaloids, cardiac glycosides, terpenoids, triterpenoids, steroids and saponins. The carbohydrate contents were highest in leaf methanol (140.90 ± 1.19 mg/g), phenolic contents highest in leaf methanol (154.32 ± 1.80 mg/g), the highest flavonoid content were observed in bark aqueous extract (437.3878 ± 0.09mg/g). In the antioxidant screening assay, the highest inhibition concentration was found to be IC50 (53.33 ± 0.13) for leaf methanol for DPPH, highest ferric reducing activity was observed in both the bark extracts at 300μg/mL concentrations, antioxidant activity for phoshomolybdenum assay was observed highest (75%) in leaf methanol extract at 300μg/mL. Antibacterial activity was carried out by agar well diffusion method using extracts against E. coli, K. pneumoniae, P. aeruginosa and S. aureus which showed inhibition zone diameter ranging from 12-22mm. Antifungal test by poison bait method against Fusarium solani and Colletotrichum gloeosporioides have shown good results.

Aim: This review aimed to assess the correlation between nurses’ exposure to psychosocial stressors and the occurrence of medical and medication errors in some hospitals of Jeddah and its correlation to other hospitals. Methods: The study utilized a range of approaches. To conduct a thorough literature search, a total of five databases CINAHL, PubMed, COCHRANE, Google Scholar and Web of Science were employed. Results: Using date filters, we ensured that the literature we retrieved was accurate and up to date for the last 5 years across all databases to ensure updated deep analysis evidence to find that from a total of 6019 studies, only seventeen studies were relevant to this review to be analyzed and discussed to find that to mitigate the likelihood of medical incidents/errors, it is imperative to consider factors such as current/recent illness, bodily discomfort, and emotional role as personal challenges for nurses. Additionally, addressing break periods during the night shift and working conditions as administrative concerns is crucial. Conclusion: Research has demonstrated that medical errors constitute the most widespread kind of errors, posing a significant risk to patient safety. Many psychological factors are concerned with rising rates of errors among nurses. The implementation of proactive methods is a successful approach to mitigating medical errors within healthcare settings.

Introduction: Cognitive decline is one of Parkinson's disease's (PD) non-motor symptoms that is most frequently observed. Patients with PD exhibit quick cognitive decline in a variety of cognitive domains, particularly in the areas of executive functions, attention, language, memory, and visuospatial abilities. The scope of PD patients with normal cognition (PD-NC) and its relationship to specific regions of the brain as shown by neuroimaging, have not received much attention in the literature. Objective: This review was to summarise the existing literature that explored cognitive performance in PD-NC using different neuroimaging techniques. Methods: A comprehensive search was conducted on PubMed and Web of Science databases. This review focused on papers that investigated neuroimaging and neuropsychological performance in patients with PD. A total of 17 articles have met the criteria. Results: The findings of this review were that executive functions appear to be the most critical cognitive domain to be damaged in PD-NC. Global cognitive ability was found to have insignificant decline overall between PD-NC and healthy controls (HC). Attention and executive functions were associated with the prefrontal cortex. Memory was mainly associated with hippocampal atrophy. Language was associated with cerebrospinal fluid and grey matter. Visuospatial ability was associated with the anterior cingulate cortex. Conclusion: This review illustrated that PD-NC seemed to experience different cognitive patterns and neuroanatomical changes compared with HC. These results suggested that PD-NC may develop specific cognitive impairments associated with specific brain regions. Therefore, it indicated that PD-NC may need to have specific treatments tailored to their needs.

\u0000Objective: This review was to summarise the existing literature that explored cognitive performance in PD-NC using different neuroimaging techniques. \u0000Methods: A comprehensive search was conducted on PubMed and Web of Science databases. This review focused on papers that investigated neuroimaging and neuropsychological performance in patients with PD. A total of 17 articles have met the criteria. \u0000Results: The findings of this review were that executive functions appear to be the most critical cognitive domain to be damaged in PD-NC. \u0000Conclusion: This review illustrated that PD-NC seemed to experience different cognitive patterns and neuroanatomical changes compared with HC. These results suggested that PD-NC may develop specific cognitive impairments associated with specific brain regions. Therefore, it indicated that PD-NC may need to have specific treatments tailored to their needs.

Eye defects are surgically classified as evisceration, enucleation, and exenteration. It causes psychological trauma as an individual is visually and esthetically compromised. Eye defects can be restored with silicone or acrylic-based prosthesis. This is a case report of a patient with a customized ocular prosthesis where emphasis has been given to securing the iris shell during the laboratory process. A surface sealant has been used to provide glossiness to the prosthesis. The appearance of the patient was enhanced with the eye prosthesis.

A novel and simple hyphenated method was applied for the screening of alkaloids in S. flavescens. The approach combined easy sample extraction with an ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) and a high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) in the data-dependent acquisition (DDA) method. With the optimized chromatographic program, ten alkaloids were screened. Among them, matrine, oxymatrine, oxysophoridine, sophocarpine, and oxysophocarpine were identified and quantified. The other five alkaloids were identified with accurate m/z value in MS1 and product ions in MS2. The quantification method was validated with specificity, linearity, recovery, and precision. The LOD and LOQ were determined. In twelve batches of collected S. flavescens roots, the identified ten alkaloids were all observed. The oxymatrine was the most abundant component, and sophocarpine was the least abundant in these samples. This comprehensive method is a powerful tool for the biochemical and clinical research of S. flavescens. It can also be adopted in resource utilization and related medicine quality control.
