Forecasting and Costing of a New 105mm Modular Propellant: In support of the Royal Canadian Artillery Regiment 一种新的105毫米模块化推进剂的预测和成本:为加拿大皇家炮兵团提供支持

The current propellant system used by the Canadian Armed Forces for both the LG1 and C3 105mm howitzer is the M67 propellant. This is made of seven charge bags with differing amounts of propellant in each bag. The number of charge bags used to fire a round is selected as a function of the ballistic requirements (desired trajectory and distance to target). Most often, fewer than the seven charge bags are used and whatever charge bags remain are destroyed. To mitigate the amount of propellant destroyed, a modular charge system has been developed that would allow for potential reuse of unused charge increments. To assist in evaluating the potential value to the Army of this new propellant system, a forecasting model based on historical usage has been integrated into a Monte-Carlo based simulation. Results indicate that the modular propellant yields both a financial cost savings and a significant reduction in environmental damage.

Digital Transformation Model for the Reduction of Time Taken for Document Management with a Technology Adoption Approach for Construction SMEs 采用技术方法减少建筑业中小企业文件管理时间的数字化转型模型

Currently, the lack of time and cost optimization in processes is a factor that affects 65% of companies in the construction sector as they continue to use traditional methods for several company processes, such as document processing. Therefore, the contribution of this research is the reduction of document approval time for the parties involved by 75% through the digital transformation of medium-sized companies in the construction sector using the building information modeling (BIM) methodology, applying three stages: planning, where the context of the company is analyzed and initial data are obtained; execution, where the necessary tools are used to solve the problem; and continuous improvement, where the data and results will be explained and the effectiveness of the project will be demonstrated. Consequently, a pilot test was carried out in one of the projects of a company called ABC S.A. to collect information, data, and results related to the efficiency and the adoption level of the BIM for the purpose of validating the reduction of time taken for document processing, reduction of costs by 40%, and for its application in various companies of the same sector. The results showed that the digital transformation of document management reduced review time and improved worker performance.

Research on the Operation Model of the Integrated Energy Service Company Based on Regional Economic and Resource Differences 基于区域经济和资源差异的综合能源服务公司运营模式研究

With the continuous deepening of China's power market system reform, a single model of electricity sales and energy supply can no longer meet the needs of economic and social development, and the transformation of power grid companies to integrated energy service companies has become a trend. First, this paper sorts out the business that integrated energy service companies can conduct from the perspective of the entire process of power energy development and utilization and the company's operating stakeholders. Then the GDP, power consumption, and distributed resource development potential of each province in China are measured. Based on the measurement results, three types of operation modes are put forward: power-dependent, user-dependent, and bilateral collaboration. Finally, relevant suggestions are provided from the perspective of technical support, platform construction and integration with other business areas, in order to provide a reference for the operation and development direction of integrated energy service companies.
随着中国电力市场体制改革的不断深入,单一的售电供电模式已不能满足经济社会发展的需要,电网公司向综合能源服务公司转型已成为一种趋势。首先,本文从电力能源开发利用全过程和公司经营利益相关者的角度,对综合能源服务公司可以开展的业务进行梳理。然后对中国各省的GDP、电力消费和分布式资源开发潜力进行了测度。根据测量结果,提出了电力依赖、用户依赖和双边协作三种运行模式。最后,从技术支撑、平台建设以及与其他业务领域的整合等方面提出相关建议,以期为能源综合服务公司的运营和发展方向提供参考。

Total Productive Maintenance: A Safety Approach to Optimize the Anesthesia Device Outcomes 全面有效维持:一种优化麻醉装置结果的安全方法

This study aims to examine the relationship between the reliability of the anesthesia device and its influence upon the patient outcomes in the 150 public hospitals of a top 20 OECD country. The reliability criteria are measured by using investigation each of; Failure Rate (FR), Mean Time between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), compared with the total operation time and average usage time per patient. The results obtained by quantitative analysis for the information related to the failure rate and access to alternative devices are highly significant factors that directly affect the patients' treatment and health services. In addition, it has proved there is a strongest significant relationship between the categories of the maintenance system used for the anesthetic device and the level of the risk upon patients ‘life during providing healthcare services. As a result, this study proposed to adopt the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) as a safe approach to optimize the anesthetic outcomes due to its efficiency in reducing their sudden breakdown and increasing their performance.

Crowd Behaviour Modelling Developments through Mixed Integer Programming: The Case of Airport Queue Management 混合整数规划下人群行为模型的发展:以机场队列管理为例

Crowd behaviour is difficult to predict and might not be easy to translate. A number of mathematical and psychological models are proposed in the literature to investigate crowd behaviour. In this paper, we exploit mixed integer programming to model crowd behaviour with multiple time periods. This research improves upon methods by Breer et al. (2015) for determining the number of active agents and solving the problem of reducing this number by controlling reputations in a single period, under the added assumption of a reputation model of interactions (Granovetter, 1978). Thus, this paper goes on to extend the single period reputation control problem and solution to the case of multiple time periods. This class of problems requires a mixed integer program to be solved several times with a varying constraint and a varying number of variables. This model is then supported by a promising case study of queue management at airport security gates.

The sustainability of agricultural sector is becoming an increasing concern in Indonesia, with the shock of the palm oil's products export restrictions to several countries. Therefore, it is vital to avoid the same case for all other export-oriented agricultural products, such as cocoa. This study aims to map the challenges and opportunities in developing a sustainable cocoa supply chain. The study commenses with mapping the role of stakeholders along the supply chain, studying the supply chain mapping literature in a sustainable perspective, and identifying the indicators used to measure the supply chain. The results of this study propose a conceptual model to be utilized as a base reference for research of the agricultural supply chain sustainability model development in Indonesia.

An Analysis of Particle Swarm Optimization of Multi-objective Knapsack Problem 多目标背包问题的粒子群优化分析

Based on the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), two methods are adopted to solve the multi-objective knapsack problem, which is a knapsack problem with multiple objective functions. One is the weighted method: each objective function is given a certain weight according to the actual demand, so the multi-objective problem is transformed into an one objective problem and then PSO is used to solve it. Another one is the method of non-inferior solution: PSO is combined with the non-inferior solution. Therefore, more feasible solutions are shown in the final result, and the decision-maker can select the best solution according to the performance of values. The experiment shows that to solve the multi-objective knapsack problem, the non-inferior method is better than the weighted method because the former is more convenient for decision-makers and does not depend on the weights, which is important for the latter and may confuse the decision-maker.

Effort estimation is essential for all development teams in order to ensure the user's story for the software project is delivered on time, boxed released. The characteristics of mobile apps make app development different from other traditional software. There are many challenges in developing a mobile app that could lead to inaccurate estimation of user stories. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to provide a comprehensive investigation into the factors that affect the accuracy of effort estimation. The effort estimation factors have been collected from previous studies and validated with 20 practitioners across 18 organisations in the development field of mobile applications.

Tacit Knowledge Based Acquisition of Verified Machining Data 基于隐性知识的加工验证数据获取

In the era of digitalization, the efficiency of machine tools can be improved due to optimized machining simulations. However, actual simulations only consider the kinematics of the machine tool and not the influence of the machining data, which are changed by experienced machine operators rather frequently. Moreover, these changes of machining data are not always properly communicated. For various reasons, this important knowledge of the machine operators remains tacit. Transferring tacit knowledge of the machine tool operators at the shop floor automatically to a database has not been possible so far. This paper describes a workflow for the acquisition of verified machining data and how to transfer them to a database.
