Professional development program for physical education teachers in Indonesia 印尼体育教师专业发展计划

Enhancing the quality of teachers has been a global challenge, and the government responded to this issue by providing various programs for teachers’ capacity upgrading This study aims at designing a professional development program for teachers of sports and health physical education in Indonesia. Using a research and development approach of Borg and Gall model, the study is to obtain comprehensive results and an understanding of the program. The preliminary findings indicate that the teachers face some obstacles in providing teaching and learning activities, although they have followed some coaching programs. The program development, therefore. proposed in this study consists of three primary documents: initiated program design, implementation guidelines, and evaluation prescription. Judgment by experts, principals, and teachers indicated that the program was proven valid, practical, and effective to be used as an assistance model for the professional development of sports and health physical education teachers in primary schools. The practical and managerial implications are also provided in this writing.

Knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of teachers and students toward sustainable development of Pili (Canarium ovatum) 师生对鹅掌楸可持续发展的认识、态度和行为

The urgent call by UNESCO to scale up interventions for the achievement of sustainable development goals motivated this study to assess the level and association of teachers' (n =107) and students' (n = 342) knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors (KAB) regarding education for sustainable development, focusing on Pili (Canarium ovatum). This is a subset of a larger project that involves Pili to contextualize learning and instructional materials. The researchers used a descriptive cross-sectional survey approach and distributed a questionnaire through Google Forms. KAB levels were categorized into poor, moderate, and high using descriptive data analysis and determined their association with one another using Pearson's Chi-square. The findings indicate that, although the associations among the KAB of teachers are distinct from those of the students, they both perceived that possessing favorable knowledge and attitudes are insufficient to generate positive behaviors. Thus, efforts to increase teachers' and students' motivation and involvement and to help them carry out favorable behaviors toward sustainable development are imperative. Given this, identifying the barriers to converting knowledge and attitudes into behaviors and considering the factors that involve the association of KAB in promoting sustainable development, particularly in education, are recommended.

The teaching readiness of pre-service teachers from the economics and business education programs 经济学和商业教育项目的职前教师的教学准备

This study aims to examine the teaching readiness level of pre-service teachers from the Economics Education, Accounting Education, and Office Administration Education study programs and the discrepancy between them. Ex post facto research design was applied in this study with quantitative approach. Pre-service teachers from educational study programs in the Faculty of Economics Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta that have completed micro teaching and educational practice courses were involved as the population in the present study. A total of 262 pre-service teachers were selected as the samples using purposive random sampling method. A questionnaire was used to collect the data. The instrument validity was confirmed using exploratory factor analysis, while the reliability was estimated using Cronbach Alpha. The data were analyzed statistically using descriptive quantitative and Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA). The result showed that the teaching readiness of the pre-service teachers from the Economic Education, Accounting Education, and Office Administration Education study programs were in the “excellent” category, and no significant differences were found on their teaching readiness level. The results indicated that each study program showed a similar performance in providing the pre-service teachers with an appropriate level of teaching readiness. Grounded on the research results, it is suggested to maintain the schooling pattern for all educational study programs for an in-depth study in the future with different characteristics of each study program.

The effect of mother's burden on learning from home, maternal-efficacy, and maternal care practices on emotion and negative behavior of children aged 5-6 years 母亲负担对家庭学习、母亲效能感的影响,以及母亲照护实践对5 ~ 6岁儿童情绪和消极行为的影响

Mothers play a big role in every aspect of their children’s lives. During learning from home (LfH) period, children's negative behavior can also change and is influenced by maternal-efficacy, maternal burden, and parenting practices. The purpose of this study was to analyze differences in maternal burden and parenting practices before and during LfH and to analyze the effect of mothers' burden on learning from home, maternal-efficacy, and parenting practices on the negative behavior of children aged 5-6 years. This study used a cross-sectional and retrospective study design. This research was conducted in three kindergartens with an A accreditation status in Jagakarsa Village, Jagakarsa District, South Jakarta City, DKI Jakarta Province. The study involved 100 working mothers who were selected using non-probability sampling with a voluntary sampling technique. The results of the influence test showed that the mother's burden during LfH period had a significant negative effect on the mother's maternal efficacy, while the mother's maternal efficacy had a significant positive effect on negative parenting practices and negative child behavior. Based on the research results, the maternal-efficacy of parents was assumed to be not strong enough to prevent negative parenting practices carried out by parents during the Covid-19 pandemic. Furthermore, negative parenting practices by mothers had a significant positive effect on children's negative behavior.

The importance of learner-centered approach in vocabulary development 以学习者为中心的方法在词汇发展中的重要性

This research article discusses opportunities to develop lexical competencies in learning English with the students of higher education institutions specialized in language based on a learner-centered approach. Pedagogical experiment was conducted at three higher education institutions in Uzbekistan: Jizzakh State Pedagogical Institute, Termez State University, Uzbekistan State University of World Languages with the 1st and 2nd year of the bachelor's degree. 463 students from the three higher education institutions participated in experiment. At the first point the study used a questionnaire developed by the author to collect information about the approaches of students in the process of language learning at universities in Uzbekistan. The survey helped to determine the extent to which students in all groups developed autonomous, independent learning skills and the formation of self-critical assessment skills. The averages collected through the survey were analyzed using inferential statistical methods. Students in the experimental group used lesson plans developed by the author during the academic year. According to the results of the study, the statistical analysis showed that the experimental work carried out to determine the level of effectiveness of the experiment was effective.

Investigating the immersion of inquiry in lecture in improving students’ understanding about scientific inquiry 探究课堂探究的沉浸性在提高学生对科学探究的理解中的作用

This study aimed to examine the extent to which scientific inquiry procedures during a lecture improvelead to an improvement in students’ understanding of scientific inquiry. The study implemented a one-group pretest-posttest design. Participants were 53 first-year students from the Chemistry Department atin a public university in Malang Ccity. Students’ understandings of scientific inquiry were assessed before and after the instruction using the Views About Scientific Inquiry (VASI) questionnaire. TThe participants’ responses were analysed descriptively and classified into three categories: informed, partially informed, and naïve, with Cohen’s inter-rater reliability value of 0.81.he participants’ responses were analysed descriptively and classified into three categories, namely informed, partially informed, and naïve views with Cohen’s inter-rater reliability value of 0.81. The results showed that (1) before treatment, students' understanding of scientific inquiry was at the level of partially informed and naïve, and (2) the immersion of scientific inquiry procedures in lectures improved students' understanding of scientific inquiry with the improved strength of Cohen's d-effect size was 1.10 (much larger than the typical category) or average normalized gain was 0.3 (medium category).

This study aimed to develop and implement Articulate Storyline economic learning media to improve economic learning outcomes for class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Deli Tua. This research is development research (R&D) with the ADDIE method. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Deli Tua, with a population of all students of class XI IPS. The results of this study are based on the assessment carried out by validation experts and user responses, the average percentage of assessment is 92% "Very Eligible" so it is concluded that the Articulate Storyline economic learning media developed meets the eligibility requirements (valid) to be used as an economics learning medium for class XI Social Sciences. The average learning outcomes of the experimental class were 88.00 and the control class 69.69. Obtaining independent t-test 9.623 > 1.9955 with sig. 0.00 < 0.05. So it can be concluded that the storyline articulation of economic learning media that was developed was effectively used to help students improve economic learning outcomes for class XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Deli Tua.
本研究采用ADDIE方法进行开发研究(R&D)。实验班平均学习成绩为88.00分,对照组平均学习成绩为69.69分。获得独立t检验9.623 > 1.9955,sig. 0.00 < 0.05。

Integrating Digital Literacy into Sociolinguistics Class in MBKM Curriculum through Theory of Planned Behavior 透过计划行为理论将数位素养融入MBKM课程的社会语言学课堂

Independent Learning Curriculum (MBKM) is arranged to improve the students’ competencies in the revolution industry 4.0. One of the important aspects in that curriculum is a broad knowledge of digital literacy. Integrating digital literacy into Sociolinguistics class in this study employed Project Based Learning (PBL) by creating posters and short learning video. The results of these assignments were analyzed through Theory of Planned Behavior by Ajzen. This case study aims to investigate the types of students’ beliefs on the use of integrating digital literacy into Sociolinguistics class. This study employed triangulation data; questionnaire, interview and observation. Those instruments were used to identify the process and results of integrating digital literacy into Sociolinguistics class through behavior belief, cognitive belief, normative belief, and control belief. The result of this study found students believe that the use of integrating digital literacy into Sociolinguistics class influenced heir strategy of learning. Thus, having a strong belief of integrating digital literacy shows the students’ perception to use digital technology in Sociolinguistics class

Human rights education in indonesian higher education institutions: opinions of students and teachers 印尼高等教育机构的人权教育:学生与教师的意见

As problems of intolerance and disrespect of human rights escalate in this modern world, raising public awareness on human rights is considered an inevitable task for all. Intervention of promoting human rights in education field is believed to be playing an important role to address the problems. This study wants to collect information from its research subjects on the extent to which topics of human rights are being learned and taught in higher education institutions, and on the degree of effectiveness of different methods used to learn and teach human rights in higher education institutions, as to develop human rights knowledge and understanding of students. This study uses the technique of homogenous purposive sampling to determine the research subject. The research subjects are (1) students who take the course subject of Human Rights or Citizenship and (2) lecturers who teach either the course subject of Human Rights or Citizenship, in any higher education institutions in Indonesia. The questionnaire is developed using Google Form, and is distributed online. As the result of the survey for 445 students and 72 teachers of Indonesian higher educational institutions, most of them are familiar with the concept of human rights. The most significant sources of information on human rights are university lecturers, mass media, official documents, and publications. The most important level of education to receive knowledge and build understanding on human rights are secondary education, higher education, elementary education, and vocational education. General human rights, right to freedom of religion and belief, and right to education are fully developed. More of other rights, such as rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ), rights of migrants, rights of internally displaced persons, and rights of the poor, are expected to be more developed than they are now. The most effective methods are field visit/excursions, watching films, problem solving, and case studies. The least effective methods are arts (drawing and singing), writing essays and stories, and games.

Augmented reality mobile app-based multimedia learning of pencak silat to enhance the junior high school students’ learning outcomes 基于增强现实手机app的多媒体铅笔语学习,提高初中生的学习效果

The present study aims to produce Augmented Reality Mobile App-based multimedia of Pencak silat learning for junior high school students. APPED Research and Development model was applied by following several stages, including Analysis and Initial Research, Design, Production, Evaluation, and Dissemination. The data were collected using questionnaire and tests. The product was evaluated in three stages, namely one to one, small group, and field (effectivity test) evaluation. Three material experts were involved in rating the product validation with a mean of 4.77 (very good). Meanwhile, mean score from three Media Experts was 4.80 (very good). The mean score of product evaluation for one-to-one evaluation was at 4.62 (very good), the small group at 4.80 (very good), and the field at 4.56 (very good). A significant improvement was detected from the mean score of the learning outcomes from pretest to posttest (p=0.0000.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that Augmented Reality Mobile App-based multimedia of Pencak silat learning was effective to improve JHS students’ achievement and was able to be used in the Pencak silat learning for JHS students.
