Schwannoma is a benign, encapsulated, slow-growing and generally solitary tumour that arise from Schwann cells of the peripheral nerve sheath. Sinonasal schwannoma is a rare entity represent less than four percent of all tumors in the head and neck area. We present our clinical observations in a 57-year-old woman with a locally advanced sinonasal schwannoma, originating in the sphenoid sinus and infiltrating ethmoid cells, the nasal cavity and the left retrobulbar space. Histopathological and immunohistochemical examination confirmed the diagnosis. Differential diagnosis requires a broad immunohistochemical analysis that will differentiate schwannoma from other benign and malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors. Our clinical observations show that the only effective treatment of patients with schwannoma is a radical tumor surgery, as it concerns an extremely radioresistance benign tumor.

A 28 years old female presented to the emergency room complaining of shortness of breath for a number of years with progressive swelling in the neck. She was progressively becoming short of breath on exertion but did not have fever, pain or hoarseness. She had been on Lugol’s iodine without improvement. On examination, vital signs were stable. However, she had a cervical large non tender multi-nodular goitre, with a shift of the trachea to the right side .By percussion; there was no dullness over the sternum. Her left breast had a large non painful mass.

Background and Objectives: Fexinidazole is a 5-nitroim-idazole recently included in a clinical efficacy trial as an oral drug for the treatment of human African trypanoso-miasis (HAT). Preclinical studies showed it acts as a pharmacologically active prodrug with two key active metabolites: sulfoxide and sulfone (the most active metab- olite). The present studies aimed to determine other oral antibiotic regimen for the treatment of stage 2 sleeping sickness which could eventually also treat stage 1 patients, like Fexinidazole. Cotrimoxazole 960 mgs twice daily for two weeks, or one month if unsuccessful at two weeks of treatment; clarithromycin 250 mgs twice daily and tinidazole 500 mgs twice daily for one week or two weeks; and ciprofloxacin 500mgs twice daily for two weeks were administered. Methods: Cotrimozaxole, ciprofloxacin, clarithromycin, and tinidazole were assessed in 99 HAT positive children and adult male and female subjects of sub-Saharan African origin. Three initial first-in-human studies and two additional studies assessed a weekly, two weekly and monthly doses of the above drugs. Results: The drugs were well-tolerated in the various doses. Conclusion: These studies show that cotrimoxazole, ciprofloxacin, clarithromycin and tinidazole can be safely assessed in patients as potential oral cure for both stages of Human African Trypanasomiasis.

Cholera is an acute diarrheal disease due to a highly motile, curved gram negative rod, vibrio cholerae, and it can result in severe and rapidly progressive dehydration and death in a matter of hours unless quickly treated. As a result, “cholera gravis” is a much feared disease, especially when it occurs in epidemics or in worldwide pandemics associated with high mortality rates.

Statins are widely used and are considered safe for almost everyone above the age of 40 or so. Statins are implicated in muscle damage, induction of diabetes, depression and Parkinson’s disease. Some of these problems are reversible with statin withdrawal, some are not. The inhibition of protein isoprenylation by statins is important in many of these toxic reactions. The benefits of diet and exercise in these patients cannot be overestimated. Patients should be encouraged to exercise and diet until statins can be withdrawn

Social participation refers to those voluntary activities through which the members of a society directly or indirectly participate in shaping social life in neighborhood, village or city affairs. While the spread of the COVID-19 disease, people in the community can be responsible for their individual and collective health with conscious and voluntary participation and participate in the prevention of the COVID-19 disease in order to change the fate of themselves and their neighbors. Now, considering COVID-19 virus pandemic, as in war, we can defeat the hidden evil enemy. But achieving victory requires selfsacrifice and collective participation. The Iranian people are like warriors on the battlefield strengthened the line of struggle by observing health instructions and social participation in the distribution of masks, disinfection of roads and houses, and the purchase of food packages. At the same time, the performance of medical staff and health defenders was improved with the participation of the people. Thus, the cooperation, empathy and participation of the people behind and alongside the officials and medical staff can be an example of self-sacrifice.

Based on the regression evaluation of menarcheal age relative to the age at MPV of height, a delayed menarche evaluation chart was established. In fact, it is thought that the close relationship between menarche and body weight may lie behind the critical weight hypothesis and body fat hypothesis proposed in relation to the onset of menarche. In other words, the age at maximum peak velocity (MPV) in weight and age at menarche are thought to be highly correlated, so a regression evaluation chart for age at menarche against age at MPV of height can be constructed. Then, in the present study, a delayed menarche evaluation chart based on age at MPV of weight is constructed, and compared it with evaluations of delayed menarche determined by age at MPV of height. The results showed that the age at MPV of weight is later than the age of MPV in height. The level of agreement between girls judged using delayed menarche evaluation charts based on ages at MPV of height and weight was analyzed, and the results showed agreement in 131 of 204 girls (64.2%). The fact that there was disagreement in 74 girls (35.8%) indicates that the validity of delayed menarche evaluation based on age at MPV of weight is probably low.

Short surrogates of the pentapeptide K-A-A-A-K, centered on Freidinger’s lactam, were applied to eradicate E.coli (Gram-negative bacteria) and S. Aureus (Gram-positive microbe). It was found that it was easier to eliminate the gram-positive bacteria, which was influenced by the N-methylation of the amide nitrogen of 30 →31 (Table). However, The N-methylated surrogates were more efficient in eradicating the E. coli than the S. Aureus samples. We were able (Figure 14) to show that one structural change could make a remarkable difference in the eradication (MIC) of the different bacteria
