A highly technological industry, aviation generates an enormous amount of information from its systems, and in the era of big data, there are many opportunities to derive great benefits from it. ATM data is the core asset of European Network Manager, carrying out air traffic management over Europe - EUROCONTROL. Those data could be and are important for the business, focusing on business value this data have and what kind of services are delivered and can rely on its quality. B2B Web Services enable the automatic exchange of digital information, supporting network wide collaborative processes integrated seamlessly with the local processes. This level of quality together with accuracy, timeliness of the information, simplification of processes, cost reduction and safety is result from automatic information exchange. Beneficial targets are mainly Air Navigation Service Providers, Aircraft Operators, Airports, Ground Handling Agents, Computerised Flight Plan Service Providers and Airspace Management Cells. Digital transformation and improving B2B strategy allowing the integration of network manager services into their own systems, improving operational efficiency. Following the open data principles of the European Digital Agenda and the European Aviation Strategy, the B2B Services unlock the ATM data, bringing business opportunities for other actors, creating value for ATM and for the society in general

The aim of the paper is to examine the methods, forms and didactic means of aviation education of military pilots at the selected institutions from 1973 to the present using the analysis for the quality teaching process and the interaction of edutants (human factors) - teachers and students, based on the SWOT analysis of selected historical data. The paper is the second part of the study on the issue of aviation education, which answers the question of strengths and weaknesses, risks and opportunities for the future education quality aspects. The main motive of our pre-research and historical data analysis is to acquire the knowledge applicable to the creation of new study programs of the Faculty of Aeronautics of the Technical University of Košice (FA) in the study field Transport according to the new descriptions approved by the Accreditation commission.

The aim of this article is to show a possible utilization of flight simulator data to assess the piloting accuracy and quality in the defined flying task, in this case by the precision instrument approach using Instrument Landing System (ILS). The defined trajectory of this type of approach is a straight line, which make easier to assess deviations in the two perpendicular ILS approach planes. The essence of the article is an example of the method of evaluating complex flight data obtained from series of approach flights made by a sample of future military pilots during their simulator training. The basic evaluation parameters are the angular deviations in the directional and glide path planes of the ILS profile and the movement of the control column in both directions (lateral and longitudinal). Accuracy and quality of piloting was in this method determined as the deviation from the ILS planes during the approach, as well as by the correlation between the control column deflections and the actual angular deviations in both ILS planes. At the end of the paper, the results obtained from this method are presented, and the benefits and limitations of the method for the evaluation of accuracy and quality of piloting in the framework of flight training of future military pilots are discussed.

A fundamental task of government is to protect the population and to ensure the safety of its territory. Preparing zoning plans and documentation specifying the requirements for land use also contributes to the safety of territory. Public infrastructure is inter alia defined in territorial planning documentation and includes transport infrastructure, such as the construction of roads, railways, waterways, airports and any associated equipment. In planning the location of an airport, zone planning requirements, the impact on the environment and operational safety requirements must be taken into account. The article describes the ground planning, breakdown and definition of territorial planning documentation. A description of assessing, designing and locating an airport follows. Security in the vicinity of airports provided by protective zones of aviation structures is also examined. The requirements placed on airport locations are linked to the requirements for population protection.

The aim of the contribution titled The effect of high speed trains on air transport has a theoretical and practical character. The work deals with a survey of the current state of shared transport lines between air carriers and high-speed train operators in Europe. In the article is analysed the factors, that have the greatest influence in the decision-making of the passengers of the transport. We have highlighted the advantages of highspeed trains for short-to-medium distance transport and selected particular transport lines shared by both operators, which are analysed in more detail. Suggestions and advices are proposed for air carriers.

This article deals with the issue of emergency planning. It focuses on the description of the accident handling planning process, using the scenario creation for possible accidents and the network analysis for production process (PERT). Based on this scenario, it is possible to determine the necessary human resources and technical means, their tasks and procedures for handling the expected/anticipated consequences. This processing method allows much clearer and more efficient processing.

This study deals with airplane construction material flammability and is focused on aircraft with MTOW of 2500 kg or less. All combustibility tests were examined by a conic calorimeter that matching with a norm of ISO 5660-1: 2002. By individual testing of all exterior building and interior furnishing materials, an airplane is made of; we achieve results as the basis for further composing of safety recommendations for fire and rescue services while assisting at air disasters. Also, the study very briefly deals with fundamental sources for fire-resistant materials used in the aviation industry and their testing as well. Besides this, the study describes basic construction materials and a variety of other ones used for building aircraft with MTOW of 2500 kg or less.

Flight delays represent a common problem in everyday air traffic practise. The impact of flight delay can be a risk and this risk represents financial losses, the dissatisfaction of passengers, time losses, loss of reputation and bad business relations. If an airline doesn't deal with this problem immediately, it will cause other problems. The main goal is to solve this situation to ensure the continuity of air traffic. The most important is to identify the reason, that causes the flight delay. It can be technical reasons, such as aircraft damages, failures or operational reasons. An operational problem may be, for example, human factor failure, mismanagement or the process organization. There are many ways how to identify problems. One of the possibilities how to solve the problem and eliminate it is to usage process management and risk management. The paper will aim to describe a methodology based on risk management that will help identify problems that cause the flight delay.
