The tram undercarriage is one of the most valuable tramway parts. It consists of Cardan drive shaft, final gear and wheels. On some models of the undercarriage there is additional reduction gearbox too. The general reconstruction of whole undercarriage is one of the important phases of tramway lifecycle. We were design and developed testing device and method for no-load diagnostics of tramway undercarriage. The passive forces are measured in low and mid speeds and vibration diagnostics is made too. The measured data are stored in data repository.

The human postural control system to maintain a vertical posture all the time stimulates the musculoskeletal system to continuous motion called sway. This movement rely on a slight rocking in sagittal and frontal planes, reminds inverted pendulum in their behavior. During balancing center of gravity (COG) projection on the ground can be described by a trajectory, which in the case of a healthy person is in the feet contour. The occurrence of internal or external disruption can cause deviation of the COG outside the stable range. In this case, the imbalance man reacts in accordance to one of the strategies to maintain a balance. Such strategies correlate with the performance of the reverse pendulums with varying degrees of complexity. The article presents an analysis of the pendulums in relation to the issue of maintaining the balance by man.

The web service ThermoChemDC is designed to address selected thermochemical calculations of chemical reactions for the purposes of process modelling in the acquisition and processing of raw materials. The first version of the web service contains the calculation of the heat capacity change, the calculation of the heat of reaction, the calculation of the change of entropy, the calculation of the Gibbs free energy, and the calculation of the logarithm of the equilibrium constant. Web services represent a shift from large monolithic applications structures to the components -based model. Web service is the dominant representative of service-oriented architecture, which is briefly described in the introductory part of the contribution. The second part of the article describes the purpose of ThermoChemDC web service. The main part of article is devoted to the proposal for extension of the ThermoChemDC web service. This section addresses five aspects of the web service functionality supplementing. The first aspect is the possibility of extending the calculations of the equilibrium partial pressures of the chemical equation; the second aspect is the further addition of new substances within the web service TermPropService. The third aspect specifies the new principle of the web service error states solution using separate database table with multiple language versions of descriptions the error status of the service. A fourth aspect is the proposal for a new method of service that provides detailed information about the service, its features and capabilities, about cooperating web services, input parameters, outputs and output structures and error states of the service. The fifth aspect is devoted to the adaptation of presentation client application. In conclusion, the results obtained are summarized and outlined the way forward in addressing the issue.

This article presents a practical test of a new method of interference reduction in the Wigner-Ville distribution. Starts and stops of a ventilator were used as a generator of acoustic non-stationary signal. Tested algorithm is based on multiple Smoothed Pseudo Wigner-Ville distributions: differently smoothed time-frequency planes are compared and, for every point, a cross-term free value is calculated on the basis of optimal smooth estimation. The proposed approach is compared with other existing algorithms. Appropriate quantitative measures are used to demonstrate the promising results of the proposed method on practical implementation.

The paper discusses the results of modeling and testing the prototype of an active vibration control of sliding bearings with the use of piezoactuators. The main goal of the active vibration control is to prevent instability due to the oil film and to extend the operating speed range of sliding bearings. The paper focuses on the analysis of the effect of the feedback controller gain on the operating range of the sliding bearings. This gain can be either a constant or a time varying parameter according to a periodic function.

The interest towards many-core architectures and parallelisation have increased. The many-core hardware plat- forms and the required algorithms have been already available. The paper considers the abstraction levels in the stack between the application logic and the underlying hardware. It briefly shows three kernel designs which aims to support many-core architectures. It compares the role of the kernel, the runtime environment and the frameworks in the aspect of parallelised applications.

This paper introduces a way to control the Pong game automatically with the usage of FRIQ-learning (Fuzzy Rule Interpolation-based Q-learning). The FRIQ-learning method can be a solution to such a problem which has a small state-space. The system starts with an empty knowledge base and the system constructs the final rule-base during the simulation, based on a reward used to solve the task. This way the method can find the required rules using the feedback provided by the environment. To correctly solve the problem the reward-function should be carefully defined for the corresponding problem (handling of the paddle in the Pong game in this case). After determining the required specifications (e.g. the actions and the effects of the actions) we used the FRIQ-learning framework to build a simulation application. FRIQ-learning can gather the required knowledge automatically in the form of a fuzzy rule-base, therefore it can be applied to such a system where the process of the exact operation is unknown. Our main goal is to show that the FRIQ-learning method is suitable to solve this problem by automatically constructing a sparse rule-base for Pong.

The world inflection is an important area of computerized linguistics for the agglutinative languages. The presented paper provides an overview of the two main algorithms for learning of inflection rules. The TASR and OSTIA methods are implemented and analyzed with real life data from the Hungarian language. The main novelty of the research work is the development of a robust method to generate training and test data from the documents available on the Internet. The implementation language is Java as Java 8 has great features for parallel and functional programming that could be leveraged in this big data analysis task. The performed tests show that current methods cannot provide both high accuracy and high cost efficiency on the same time.
