A new decentralized voltage control scheme of an autonomous microgrid under unbalanced and nonlinear load conditions 不平衡和非线性负载条件下自治微电网分散电压控制新方案

This paper presents an effective voltage control strategy for the autonomous operation of a medium voltage (MV) microgrid under nonlinear and unbalanced load conditions. The main objectives of this strategy are to effectively compensate the harmonic and negative-sequence currents of nonlinear and unbalanced loads using distributed generation (DG) units. The proposed control strategy consists of a multi-proportional resonant controller (MPRC) whose parameters are assigned with particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. The optimization function is defined to minimize the tracking error at the specific harmonics considering the stability limitations. In this paper the performance of the proposed controller is investigated for a single DG unit. Due to the fact that DG units can be decentralized, this strategy generalizes for multi-DG unit networks. The performance of the proposed control scheme is verified by using digital time-domain simulation studies in the PSCAD/EMTDC software environment.

Wind turbine control strategy for shaft stress reduction 风电机组轴应力减小控制策略

The issue of fatigue loading on wind turbine drive trains due to the fluctuating nature of wind is a major cause of premature gearbox failures. A new control scheme is proposed and investigated which aims to maintain speed control of the wind turbine, as well as being able to compensate for torque pulsations as a result of wind speed variations. These torque pulsations are the main cause of shaft overstressing and result in the premature failure of gearboxes, rotors and drive trains. The control strategy implemented makes use of well-known Proportional (P) and Proportional Derivative (PD) controllers, and therefore does not need sophisticated models of the wind turbine system requiring knowledge of parameters specific to the machine. The controller implemented consists of two control loops, the one being a speed control and the other a torque controller. The controller is implemented on a 2kW three-phase permanent magnet wind turbine. System simulations showed that the control strategy was able to operate successfully, however, in practice it was found that the speed control loop operated but the torque control was unsuccessful. This was due to high levels of noise as a result of the differential action on the torque feedback loop.

Magnetic and structural analysis of a transverse flux claw pole linear machine 横向磁爪杆直线机床的磁力及结构分析

This paper details the design and testing of a novel transverse flux claw pole linear machine suitable for large superconducting generators. The machine utilises a modular claw pole transducer design with a stationary field winding which eliminates the need for cryogenic couplers and electrical brushes for a superconducting machine. The results from this prototype will enable a better understanding of the electromagnetic and mechanical structures before embarking on a more costly super-conducting design. The structure of the prototype supports a field winding and core; four pairs of claw poles with a stroke of 500 mm; three armature windings and core. Tests will be preformed to determine the deflection of the airgap, field core and armature core, the induced voltage in the armature coils, the forces acting on the structure and the flux density variation in the claw poles.

Evaluation of a prototype magnetic gear 磁性齿轮样机的评价

In this paper, the design of a prototype concentric-type magnetic gear is evaluated. The effects that the mechanical bridges connecting the modulator segments have on the performance of the gear have been analyzed by using detailed two-dimensional (2D) finite element (FE) analysis. The magnetic gear suffers significantly from end-effects, which result in a considerable decrease in the peak torque capability as well as excessive losses under high-speed operation. Three-dimensional (3D) FE analysis is employed to identify the origin of the undesired end-effects and to determine which structural components have the greatest negative impact. Insight is then gained into how the prototype could be modified to reduce these end-effects.

Optimal control of a Two-Mass Skate bicycle without steering 无转向双质量滑板自行车的最优控制

Until recently it was believed that the ability of riderless bicycles to remain upright derives from a combination of the gyroscopic precession of the front wheel and the trail designed into the steering geometry. As it turns out neither influence is necessary for straight-running stability. It is also believed that rider steering torque and/or a roll moment applied to the main frame are required for steering. We show that this long-standing belief is also untrue. All the optimal-control calculations presented are computed off-line.

Improved low-cost FPGA image processor architecture with external line memory 改进的低成本FPGA图像处理器架构与外部线路存储器

Today's FPGAs are capable of performing complex Image Processing schemes. For large images the limiting factor is the size of the line memory required, especially in lower cost FPGAs. In this paper we introduce an FPGA-based architecture for Pipelined Image Processor that utilizes external line memory. We describe the suggested architecture, explain the reasoning behind it and give the guidelines to achieve the best efficiency possible. We define efficiency as performing the desired calculation using the minimal hardware configuration. Thus we give the tools to design minimal hardware configurations. The principle of the suggested architecture is based on minimal data transportation between the external line memory and the FPGA. While the original architecture presented in a recent paper addressed the case of equal line size in all Processing Elements the improved architecture presented in this paper is capable of handling scaling, i.e., changing the line size and the number of lines at any location in the IP chain.

In this paper we apply the modified biogeography-based Optimization (MBBO) to design type-2 fuzzy logic controller (T2FLC) to improve the performance of the plant control system. Biogeography-based optimization (BBO) is a novel evolutionary algorithm that is based on the mathematical models of biogeography. Biogeography is the study of the geographical distribution of biological organisms. In the BBO model, problem solutions are represented as islands, and the sharing of features between solutions is represented as immigration and emigration between the islands. A modified version of the BBO is applied to design the T2FLC to get the optimal parameters of the membership functions of the controller. We test the optimal T2FLC obtained by modified biogeography-based Optimization (MBBO) using benchmark plants and is compared with Particle swarm optimization (PSO).

A flexible stereo calibration for a structured-light profilometer 结构光轮廓仪的柔性立体校准

The paper proposes a novel method for the calibration of a 3-D scanner composed of a camera and a projector. The proposed method models the projector as a second camera, and then reduces the calibration of a camera - projector pair into the calibration of a stereo pair of cameras, with advantages in terms of simplicity, flexibility, accuracy and availability of known solutions. This approach is very advantageous overall for those scanners whose camera and projector can be moved by the operators in order to achieve the most suitable configuration for the specific object under measurement. Results are shown for different organizations of the procedure and for different geometrical configurations. The uncertainty of calibrated parameters is also discussed.

This approach is very advantageous overall for those scanners whose camera and projector can be moved by the operators in order to achieve the most suitable configuration for the specific object under measurement. Results are shown for different organizations of the procedure and for different geometrical configurations. An LQ controller with disturbance feedforward for the 3-phase 4-leg true sine wave inverter 三相四腿真正弦波逆变器的扰动前馈LQ控制器

In this paper we develop a new approach to combined full-state and disturbance feedforward control system synthesis for a three-phase four-leg true sine wave inverter. Proposed scheme is an extension of the augmented state feedback controller with multi-oscillatory terms. Multi-resonant controllers are well-established solution for this kind of converters if high quality output voltage is needed in the presence of nonlinear loads. They take advantage of repetitiveness of the control process under the steady load conditions (this includes nonlinear and unbalanced loads). No presumption on load type entails introduction of oscillatory terms for all three voltage components with resonant frequencies up to available bandwidth dictated by technically justified switching/sampling frequency. This makes the practical implementation challenging. Our idea is to reduce number of needed oscillatory terms by adding disturbance feedforward. In the discussed system the disturbance signal is easily accessible/measurable and hence this feedback can be very effective because of lack of estimation errors. The control system is designed in dq0 reference frame rotating with the fundamental output frequency. Extensive numerical experiments indicate that the number of oscillatory terms can be reduced significantly and high quality of output voltage can be maintained.

Inverter IGBT loss analysis and calculation 逆变器IGBT损耗分析与计算

This paper presented an analytical method to calculate the inverter IGBT loss and water cooling system. In the implementation process, the effect of gate drive resistor, DC bus voltage, temperature and junction temperature on the IGBT loss were taken into comprehensive consideration for the first time. The method to calculate inverter IGBT and Diode conduction loss, switching loss, total loss, efficiency, temperature difference and junction temperature were given under the SVPWM modulation algorithm. Taking the interaction characteristics of the IGBT loss and junction temperature into account, the interaction of the loop algorithm was presented on the initial condition of the ambient temperature using the custom thermal circuit model, the IGBT junction temperature, case temperature and radiator temperature curve were given finally. On this basis, a medium voltage variable frequency speed control system with water cooling system was designed, it is in good agreement with experimental values, which affirmed the accuracy of the analytical method and verified the correctness and feasibility of the method.
