With the popularization and development of social media, adolescence has become an important platform for adolescents to express their views, exchange information and participate in society. The purpose of this paper is to explore in depth adolescents' behavioral responses to public events on social media and their guiding trends and to analyze adolescents' motivations for using social media, the manifestation of public events on social media, the application of social movement theories in social media research, and the modern transformation of public sphere theories. Using a mixed-methods design that combines quantitative and qualitative data analysis, this study provides a comprehensive picture of adolescents' behavioral patterns, motivations for participation, and social impact on social media, as well as their roles and challenges in public discourse. The study revealed that adolescents respond to a variety of types of public events, including posting, commenting, sharing, and engaging in hashtags. Adolescents' interactive behaviors on social media information diffusion, opinion formation, and social mobilization are important social impacts of adolescents' social media behaviors. They accelerate the spread of information through sharing and retweeting, participate in the discussion of public issues and have a direct impact on the formation of public opinion. In addition, social media has become an effective tool for mobilizing social action, and adolescents promote practical action and participation in public issues by interacting with and organizing online activities. This study proposes a series of coping strategies, including improving users' media literacy and information discernment, social media platforms to strengthen the regulation and auditing of information dissemination, and the government and the community to strengthen the regulation and governance of the social media field. This study provides new perspectives for understanding adolescents' social participation in the digital age, showing how social media, as a new public sphere, affects public discourse, social mobilization, and the formation of civic identity. The findings not only provide rich empirical material for sociological theories but also provide valuable insights for promoting social public participation, improving information quality, and advancing social progress. Future research can further explore the impact of social media on adolescents' social participation in different cultural and social contexts, as well as how to optimize the efficacy of social media as a platform for public discourse and social mobilization through educational and policy interventions.

This paper attempts to probe into English translation of fuzzy beauty of classical Chinese poetry via imagery. Classical Chinese poetry is the cream of Chinese culture. It attracts millions of Chinese and western readers with its subtle and profound fuzzy beauty. The ultimate requirement of English translation of classical Chinese poetry lies in transferring its fuzzy beauty. Fuzzy beauty of classical Chinese poetry falls into three categories: fuzzy beauty in form, fuzzy beauty in imagery and fuzzy beauty in artistic conception. Imagery, being the soul of classical Chinese poetry, serves as a communicative and operational medium of transference of fuzzy beauty. The essence of fuzzy beauty consists in "gaps of indeterminacy" which conjures up the reader's unrestrained association. "Gaps of indeterminacy" constitute the "appealing structure" in a text which is subject to the reader's free interpretation according to his own "horizon of expectation". Fuzzy aesthetics sheds light on the aesthetic features of fuzzy beauty, and the hierarchical structure of fuzzy beauty in fuzzy aesthetics corresponds to different layers of fuzzy beauty of classical Chinese poetry. Therefore, both aesthetics of reception and fuzzy aesthetics are of instructive value to English translation of classical Chinese poetry. This paper is composed of five sections. The introductory section is concerned with the significance and purpose of the research. The second section reveals in detail fuzzy beauty in classical Chinese poetry. In the third section, the techniques and principle for translation of poetic fuzzy beauty are put forward in light of aesthetics of reception and fuzzy aesthetics and imagery is recommended as an ideal medium of transference of fuzzy beauty. The fourth section centers on how to transfer fuzzy beauty of classical Chinese poetry using imagery as a medium, analyses and proposals are given from such angles as fuzzy modifiers, syntax, juxtaposition, and cultural influences. A natural conclusion is drawn in the last section.

In recent years, the English teaching reform in higher vocational colleges in China has gradually integrated heuristic teaching methods. However, a notable issue has emerged: students’ deficiency in critical thinking skills. This study aims to enhance the critical thinking skills of higher vocational students in China through action research. The research includes four cycles of teaching practice to improve students’ critical thinking ability in terms of analysis, evaluation, reasoning, and self-adjustment. Through the task design, the researcher promotes students’ in-depth thinking and critical analysis in cross-cultural English classes. It was found that vocational students made noticeable progress in the 16-week training process, as reflected by the changes in interpretation and analysis abilities and attitudes towards culture. These results provide valuable experience and enlightenment for English teaching in higher vocational colleges and emphasise the importance of cultivating students’ critical thinking ability to promote their development in academic and professional fields.

The aging situation in our country is severe, and the aging process is accelerating. It is expected that by 2040, the proportion of elderly people aged 65 and above will reach 20% of the total population in the country. The number of elderly people is growing at a rate of 5% every year, and the proportion of elderly care will reach about 28%. The pressure of elderly care is heavy. And with the change of Chinese people's health concepts, the social family model is increasingly inclined towards miniaturization, and the living standards are constantly improving, which has put forward more diverse demands for the functions and operation of the new elderly care service model. This article takes elderly people aged 60 and above as the research object, adopts field research method, starts from the willingness of elderly people to pay for home-based community elderly care services, further understands the current situation of home-based community elderly care service models, and finally analyzes the questionnaire results and interview content, discusses the factors affecting the overall willingness to pay of elderly people, hoping to provide scientific basis for the pricing of current home-based community elderly care service projects.

Risk-taking is a fundamental driving force for long-term sustainable economic growth, can corporate risk-taking be enhanced through executive incentives and how to adjust the level of corporate risk-taking? This paper utilizes data from 1886 Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share listed companies from 2010 to 2021, and conducts an empirical analysis by using fixed-effects model panel regression. This paper compares the effects of compensation incentives, equity incentives, and the simultaneous implementation of both incentives on the level of corporate risk-taking, and finds that equity incentives, as a long-term incentive, can significantly enhance corporate risk-taking compared to compensation incentives and the simultaneous implementation of both incentives. Further analysis reveals that equity incentives increase risk-taking by affecting selling expenses, but have no significant effect on administrative expenses and operating costs. Therefore, effective incentives can bring real benefits and create substantial value for enterprises. This paper provides a theoretical reference for the strategic planning and sustainable development of listed companies.

Multiculturalism has long defined the intricate fabric of the United States, woven through centuries of diverse immigration, cultural interactions, and social movements. Yet, contemporary challenges persist despite strides made in acknowledging diversity. Nativist sentiments, political polarization, and instances of discrimination underline the urgency for ongoing efforts in promoting multicultural education to foster empathy and respect among diverse communities. This article traces the historical trajectory of multicultural education in the United States, exploring its impact on immigrant education across five distinct stages. By scrutinizing the system's evolution and challenges, it equips educators and policymakers to navigate cultural diversity in educational settings more inclusively. This study found that while the evolution of multicultural education in the United States showcases progress, persistent challenges persist. Overcoming these demands a multifaceted approach, including a reevaluation of educational paradigms, policies, and resource allocation.

The critical role of counseling psychology and therapy in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is the focus of this article. Counseling therapy is fundamental in understanding, diagnosing, and treating this complex disease. This study explores the psychological mechanisms underlying PTSD, including theoretical frameworks for understanding the disorder and the critical roles that cognitive processes, memory, and emotion regulation play in its development. Elucidate the complex interplay of these mechanisms to gain a complete understanding of disease etiology and persistence. This article finds that a therapeutic framework that combines trauma counseling, CBT, and EMDR can be incorporated into the treatment of PTSD. This goes some way to addressing the inherent complexities of trauma and PTSD. Additionally, this study recognizes the dual impact of counseling therapy, recommending that counselors prioritize self-care, setting boundaries, seeking support, and the importance of a culture that promotes the normalization of help-seeking behaviors. These findings and insights lay the foundation for further research and clinical practice, emphasizing the importance of developing and adapting treatments to better serve individuals affected by post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
