ANTIBACTERIAL ACTIVITY OF JAVA PREANGER GEL FROM CHERY COFFEE EXTRACT AND GREEN BEAN COFFEE (Coffea arabica L.) AS ANTI-ACNE 奇瑞咖啡提取物和绿豆咖啡的防爪哇凝胶的抑菌活性作为嫩肤

Acne is a skin condition marked by nodules, papules, and pustules. Antibiotic treatment for acne frequently results in resistance. Meanwhile, the usage of various anti-acne medications produces skin irritation. Coffee arabica (Coffea arabica L.) Java preanger has a chlorogenic acid molecule with antibacterial properties against Propionibacterium acnes. This study aimed to examine the antibacterial activity of coffee cherry seed extract and green bean arabica coffee (Coffea arabica L.) Java preanger to determine which had the superior anti-acne action. The gel composition had 2% carbopol and 3%, 6%, and 9% coffee cherry extract concentrations, as well as 5%, 10%, and 15% coffee green bean extract concentrations. The obtained formulations were tested for physical and antibacterial efficacy against Propionibacterium acne. The physical evaluation of the formulations included organoleptic testing, homogeneity, pH, viscosity, spreadability, and antibacterial activity tests. The formulations that met the quality requirements for cherry coffee and coffee green bean gel were selected based on the findings of the physical evaluation. While formula 3 at a concentration of 9% coffee cherry seed extract has the best antibacterial activity with an inhibition of 15.27 mm, green bean coffee at 15% has an inhibition of 17.30 mm.

ANALYSIS OF FLAVONOID LEVELS AND TOTAL PHENOLICS FROM BUNGUR LEAF EXTRACT (Lagerstroemia speciosa) AGAINST ANTIOXIDANT ACTIVITY 紫薇叶提取物类黄酮和总酚含量对抗氧化活性的影响

The levels of flavonoids and total phenolics contained in the methanol, 70% ethanol, and ethyl acetate extracts of Bungur leaves (Lagerstroemia speciosa) will be reported in this study. In addition, the antioxidant activity of each extract was also tested. The Bungur leaves (Lagerstroemia speciosa (L) pers) is a plant used empirically as medicine. The preparation and preparation of the extract was carried out by the maceration method, which used three different variations of solvents, including methanol, 70% ethanol, and ethyl acetate. The type of coating and the polarity of the coating significantly affect the antioxidant activity obtained. The phytochemical screening test was carried out to determine the content of chemical compounds in plant extracts. In contrast, the control of flavonoid levels and total phenolic content was carried out using the colorimetric method. Measurement of antioxidant activity levels was carried out using the DPPH test. The qualitative phytochemical screening test results of the methanol, 70% ethanol, and ethyl acetate extracts had the same secondary metabolite content. Still, the highest total flavonoid and phenolic content were found in the methanol extract of Bungur leaves, 9.06% and 16.42%. The antioxidant activity test of the methanol extract of Bungur leaves also showed the best inhibition results, as indicated by the IC50 value of 5.76 ppm. This can strengthen the total phenol and flavonoid levels correlated with antioxidant activity.

COMPUTATIONAL METHODS FOR SELECTION OF FUNCTIONAL MONOMERS IN THE SYNTHESIS OF MOLECULARLY IMPRINTED POLYMER OXYTETRACYCLINE 分子印迹聚合物土霉素合成中功能单体选择的计算方法

Oxytetracycline is used to treat various disorders in poultry, particularly hens. Their use, however, may be connected with unsatisfactory residual levels in food. Because the generally used method for analyzing oxytetracycline residues is expensive, unique preparation methods such as the Molecularly Imprinted Polymer (MIP) approach have been developed. MIP is one of the most successful pre-analysis preparation procedures for extracting the target analyte from the complicated matrix. The most significant aspect of creating a successful MIP is the selection of functional monomers compatible with the monomer's physicochemical properties and Oxytetracycline as a template. The PyRx and Autodock apps are used in this study to determine the value of the binding affinity and hydrogen bonding created between the functional monomer and the template. According to the study, the monomer 5-[1-(2,3-dimethylphenyl]-1H-imidazole has the lowest binding affinity value (-4.34 kcal/mol), indicating that the Oxytetracycline template will interact well with this monomer.

SKRINING VIRTUAL ANTIKANKER PAYUDARA DARI SENYAWA AKTIF AKAR MURBEI HITAM (Morus nigra L.)

Penyakit kanker payudara disebabkan oleh adanya pertumbuhan sel-sel yang tidak normal dan tidak terkontrol di dalam payudara. Akar Murbei Hitam (Morus nigra L.) telah diteliti menunjukkan aktivitas sebagai antioksidan dan antiinflamasi. Berdasarkan paparan tersebut, didapatkan senyawa dari akar Murbei Hitam yang diprediksi memiliki aktivitas antikanker payudara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh kandidat senyawa baru antikanker payudara serta membuktikan bahwa senyawa-senyawa yang berasal dari senyawa aktif akar Murbei Hitam dapat memiliki interaksi baik terhadap ER-α dan ER-β melalui metode identifikasi farmakofor dan penambatan molekul. 29 senyawa akar Murbei Hitam terlebih dahulu ditentukan menggunakan metode skrining farmakofor dengan program LigandScout 4.3 dan ditambatkan pada reseptor target menggunakan metode penambatan molekul dengan program AutoDockTools 1.5.6. Analisis hasil penambatan diperoleh satu senyawa aktif akar Murbei Hitam sebagai lead compound terhadap ER-β yaitu Morachalcone A yang memiliki pharmacophore fit score 67,55% dan nilai ikatan energi bebas (ΔG) -11.28 kkal/mol, dimana nilai energi bebas lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan ligan alami Genistein yang merupakan ligan alami dari ER-β yaitu sebesar -10,25 kkal/mol dan residu asam amino yang terikat pada Morachalcone A yaitu GLU305, HIS475, LEU298 dan GLY472. Perolehan data tersebut menggambarkan bahwa Morachalcone A memiliki potensi sebagai kandidat senyawa baru antikanker payudara yang ditargetkan pada ER-β. Dilihat dari pengujian toksisitas dan sifat fisikokimia senyawa Morachalcone A telah memenuhi persyaratan. Tetapi dilihat dari hasil pengujian profil farmakokinetikanya senyawa ini belum memenuhi persyaratan.

POTENSI TANAMAN SAMBUNG NYAWA (Gynura procumbens) SEBAGAI ANTIHIPERURISEMIA BERDASARKAN KANDUNGAN ZAT AKTIFNYA: LITERATURE REVIEW ARTICLE

Hiperurisemia merupakan suatu kondisi di mana terjadi peningkatan produksi kadar asam urat di dalam tubuh. Penggunaan obat antihiperurisemia dapat menimbulkan efek samping, sehingga penggunaan obat tradisional dengan bahan alam dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif pengobatan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pengembangan senyawa dengan aktivitas penghambat xantin oksidase yang berasal dari tumbuhan alam dengan efek samping yang lebih rendah. Salah satunya yaitu menggunakan daun Sambung Nyawa (Gynura procumbens) sebagai antihiperurisemia. Literature review article ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan senyawa aktif Sambung Nyawa yang digunakan sebagai antihiperurisemia dengan mengkaji beberapa literatur yang berkaitan dengan hal tersebut. Pencarian literatur yang akan digunakan hanya terbatas pada senyawa aktif Sambung Nyawa sebagai antihiperurisemia yang dipublikasikan pada tahun 2011-2021. Proses pencarian dilakukan menggunakan Google Scholar, PubMed dam ScienceDirect dengan kata kunci “Gynura procumbens, antihiperurisemia, sambung nyawa, xantin oksidase, Activity flavonoid of antihyperuricemic” dan  “Mechanism of flavonoids as antihyperuricemia”. Hasil akhir pencarian tersebut didapatkan 7 artikel yang digunakan. Berdasarkan literature review yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa golongan flavonoid dengan kandungan senyawa aktif kuersetin, kaempferol, apigenin, myricetin dan rutin dari Sambung Nyawa yang paling banyak memiliki kemampuan sebagai antihiperurisemia yang ditandai dengan penghambatan xanthine oxidase.
