Design method of EM absorber and shielding screen using wire array sheet 采用线阵板的电磁吸收及屏蔽屏设计方法

This paper proposes EM absorbers and shielding screens using the artificially designed material. As the artificially designed material, the metal wire array sheets having two resonant frequencies are proposed here. First, EM absorbers using the metal wire array sheet and their EM absorbing characteristic are investigated. Next, shielding effectiveness of the screens using the wire array sheet are considered.

Formulation based on percolation theory to model the effective conductivity of carbon nanotube networks 基于渗透理论的碳纳米管网络有效导电性模型

The effective conductivity of carbon nanotube (CNT) networks as furnished by a manufacturer is experimentally extracted using two independent measurement setups. A mathematical model that is based on the percolation theory to describe the variation of conductivity as a function of frequency for different packing densities is deduced by fitting the mathematical equation to the curves of conductivity extracted from microwave measurements. The physical-mathematical model provides a better prediction of the conductivity of CNTs networks at high frequencies. This model will be used in full-wave solver to have more realistic values of conductivity and hence better modeling of radio frequency devices.

Total-field scattered-field plane wave sources for FDTD analysis of stratified lossy dispersive media 用于分层有耗色散介质FDTD分析的全场散射场平面波源

In this work, a novel configuration of auxiliary one-dimensional (1-D) FDTD grids is proposed to provide the obliquely incident plane wave at the total-field scattered-field (TFSF) boundary in stratified dispersive media. Thus a closed TFSF boundary is formed, where the incident waves are directly obtained from the auxiliary simulations without any interpolation. Given the dispersion characteristic, perfectly matched layer (PML) is implemented to the 1-D simulations. Examples demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed technique in analysing the case of an obliquely incident wave on layered dispersive media. Furthermore, the numerical result for an arbitrary incident angle can be provided with this method, greatly extending some previous work that only analyzed the case of normal incidence.

Numerical evaluation of Near-Field to Far-Field transformation robustness for EMC 电磁兼容近场到远场变换鲁棒性的数值评价

Near-Field (NF) to Far-Field (FF) transformation techniques are widely used for antenna radiation problems. To perform a NF to FF or a NF to NF transformation for EMC applications, the large frequency range, and a weak signals will require data in the reactive near field. In principle, the transformation can be performed if all sources are confined in the scanned area using Huygens' Principle, which requires knowledge of the exact phase and magnitude data of measured fields. In reality, this cannot be achieved, due to uncertainties in the field probe measurements, presence of active and passive cables and limited scan areas. Thus, it is attempted to perform a transformation based on an incomplete and uncertain data set. Results of a numerical simulation tool usage for NF to FF transformation based on NF-Scanning system measured data are demonstrated.

Carbon nanotubes for electromagnetic compatibility applications 电磁兼容应用的碳纳米管

The complex effective permittivity of different composite materials in a pulverized form is extracted using a probe-measurement setup. The studied materials consist of nanoparticles of alumina mixed with carbon nanotubes or nanoparticles of copper. Complex effective permittivity that is extracted based on microwave measurements is used to compute the effective a.c. conductivity for different packing densities. These experimental-based electrical parameters are used to predict the characteristics of an electromagnetic plane wave propagating trough a slab composed of the studied nanomaterials. Electromagnetic-wave characteristics such as phase velocity, skin depth, and power attenuation coefficient are presented to highlight the shielding performance of mixture of nanoparticles for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) applications.

Accurate and stable solution of TD-MFIE using adaptive MOD method for transient scattering illuminated by an EMP 电磁脉冲照射瞬态散射的TD-MFIE自适应模态法精确稳定求解

An accurate and stable marching-on-in-degree method (MOD) to solve time-domain magnetic field integral equations (TD-MFIE) is proposed for capturing transient responses of 3-D PEC objects illuminated by an EMP. We directly employ an exact temporal Galerkin testing with no central approximation used, and using a radial integration scheme for near-hypersingular potential integrals. This method is similar to the improvement over the earlier MOD for solving time-domain magnetic field integral equation. Transient electromagnetic responses of some typical conductive objects are obtained and compared for validating both computational accuracy and stability of our proposed TD-MFIE-MOD algorithm.

Effect on lightning electromagnetic fields from the return-stroke parameters 回程行程参数对雷电电磁场的影响

Choice of the return-stroke parameters has a great influence on the calculation results of lightning electromagnetic pulse(LEMP) fields. In this paper, LEMP fields under different return-stroke parameters are calculated based on the MTLL model in which the channel-base current is described by a pulse function. And effect of different return-stroke speeds and channel heights on LEMP fields of different field regions are also discussed. The results show that the lightning channel height between 1 kilometre and a few tens of kilometres has a little influence on the LEMP fields, but the return-stroke speed has a distinct influence on the LEMP fields.

A fast-fading mobile channel measurement system 一种快衰落移动信道测量系统

We describe a prototype propagation measurement system based on a combination of a spectrum analyzer and a vector signal analyzer. The system is designed to measure the characteristics of a narrowband mobile radio channel. We present results from a commercially-available fading simulator and fixed-to-mobile measurements performed in Boulder, Colorado. The results obtained look promising and the system demonstrates excellent measurement fidelity.

An efficient hybrid method, based on time-domain integral equation (TDIE) and time-domain physical optics (TDPO), is proposed for analysing mutual coupling effects and transient responses of multi-antennas mounted on a PEC tower platform in the presence of single as well as multiple intentional electromagnetic pulses (IEMPs). The well-known RWG, the triangular, the wire/surface junction spatial basis functions and the high-order temporal basis functions are used to expand induced currents on the PEC bodies, the PEC wires, and the PEC wire/surface junctions, respectively. A set of hybrid TDIE-TDPO equations are derived and solved by using marching-on-in-time scheme (MOT). The developed numerical algorithm is verified in both time- and frequency-domains for predicting S11-and S21- parameters, directivities, induced currents together with backward scattered fields of several antennas mounted on the same PEC tower platform, respectively. In comparison with the commercial software FEKO and the conventional TDIE-MOT method, the proposed method is more efficient for evaluating various complex electromagnetic environment effects on some multi-antenna communication systems.
