Employability and International Experience: Indonesian Students perceptions 就业能力和国际经验:印尼学生的看法

. This paper presents a quantitative analysis of how Indonesian students see the impact of international experience on graduate employability. Previous literature suggests that the influence of internationalization on higher education and globalization of the world market has increased the necessities for degree holders with the potential to perform in a multicultural world and foreign language skills. Indonesian universities have emphasized more on short-term student mobility under international activities to train students for a global workforce. Some selected studies have been conducted in this field, but most previous studies have concentrated on specific subjects/ disciplines/faculty or private/state universities. This study will resolve this gap by inviting input from all disciplines of private and state universities in Indonesia and concentrating on student mobility dimensions, as it seeks to explore the effect of student mobility on the potential employability of Indonesian students. The research received 249 completed questionnaires from 15 state and private universities in Indonesia. The study’s findings indicate that most students believed that an international experience of 6 months or more was likely to impact developing their soft skills, foreign language proficiency, and multicultural skills to enhance graduate employability and broaden career prospects

Using ELSA App in Speaking Classes: Students’ Voices 在口语课上使用ELSA App:学生的声音

. T Covid-19 has caused a sudden shift from face to face teaching method to online learning that requires teachers and lectures as well to utilize technology. It also has made a significant surge in usage of online learning applications, video conferencing tools and language apps since COVID-19. One of language learning apps which is used by university students is ELSA Speak App. Hence, in the present study, four classes of students from English Education study program were surveyed to elicit their perceptions toward the use of ELSA App. By using a questionnaire adopted from Martins, Levis and Borges (2016), it is revealed that the majority of the students agreed that ELSA Speak App is a useful tool to improve their speaking ability particularly pronunciation aspect

The Readiness of Elementary School Teachers to Implemented the Independent Learning Policy in Determining Student Graduation in the Kuningan Sub-District 库宁安街道小学教师实施自主学习政策决定学生毕业的意愿

The aim of the research is to analyze the readiness of elementary school teachers to implementing the independent learning policy on determining student graduation in the Kuningan Sub-District. The type of research used is quantitative research with the research method of survey research. The research subject was 6-grade elementary school teachers in Kuningan Sub-District. Data collected by questionnaires and interviews. The survey approach used in this study refers to the survey research steps proposed by Rea and Parker. The sampling technique used purposive random sampling. The results showed the percentage of the emotive-attitudinal sub variable had the highest percentage of 79.88%, the cognitive readiness sub variable was 76.34%, and the behavioral readiness sub variable had a percentage of 80.23%. The overall percentage of the three sub-variables on the readiness of elementary school teachers is in the “very ready” category with a percentage of 78.82%. The results of this research illustrate that elementary school teachers, especially grade 6 teachers in Kuningan Sub-District are very ready to implement government policies in terms of independent learn about determining student graduation. It is shown that 6-grade elementary school teachers can be responsive to any policy changes that occur and quickly adjust to being part of the improvement of education quality
本研究的目的是分析昆宁安街道小学教师对实施自主学习政策决定学生毕业的意愿。研究类型为定量研究,采用调查研究的研究方法。研究对象为昆宁安街道小学六年级教师。通过问卷调查和访谈收集数据。本研究采用的调查方法参考了Rea和Parker提出的调查研究步骤。抽样技术采用有目的的随机抽样。结果显示,情绪态度子变量的比例最高,为79.88%,认知准备子变量的比例为76.34%,行为准备子变量的比例为80.23%。三个子变量对小学教师准备程度的总体百分比处于“非常准备”类别,百分比为78.82%。本研究结果显示,昆宁安街道小学教师,特别是六年级教师,在自主学习决定学生毕业方面,非常愿意执行政府的政策。结果表明,小学六年级教师能够对任何政策变化做出反应,并迅速适应,成为提高教育质量的一部分

Students’ Digital Media Literacy of Universitas Kuningan (Survey on Universitas Kuningan Students Academic Year 2019/2020) 昆宁安大学学生数字媒体素养调查(2019/2020学年昆宁安大学学生调查)

This survey research on digital media literacy of Universitas Kuningan students carried out with the aim at describing the digital media personal competence level of Universitas Kuningan students in the 2019-2020 academic year, as well as to find out what factors affect the level of personal competence related to digital media literacy. In this study the authors used the concept of media literacy based on a personal competence framework consisting of technical skills, critical understanding and social competences. Based on the research objectives, this research is included in quantitative research, using survey methods and using descriptive statistical data analysis techniques to analyze research data. The results revealed that: 1) the level of digital media literacy, personal competence of Universitas Kuningan students in the academic year 2019-2020 is at a medium level, meaning that students are fluent in media use, know functions and are able to carry out more complex operations, internet media is used as needed, able to know and assess relevant information, and use specific information retrieval strategies. 2) the factors that affect the individual level of competence related to digital media literacy are mainly family environmental factors.

The Effect of the Application of the Cooperative Learning Model Type: Team Games Tournament on Student Learning Outcomes in Economic Subject 运用合作学习模式:团队游戏竞赛对经济学科学生学习成果的影响

. This The problem in this study is the low student learning outcomes in economics subjects at SMA Negeri 2 Kuningan. This was shown from the test scores of class X-1 students for the academic year 2018-2019 on standard competency material to understanding of economic concepts in relation to the Economic Activities of Consumers and Producers of the 35 students of class X-1 SMA Negeri 2 Kuningan, there were 48.56 % of students who had grades below the (Kriteria Minimal)/(MCC=Minimum Completeness Criteria) or are declared not passing the material on consumer and producer behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of the cooperative learning model type team games tournament to student learning outcomes in economic subjects with the research subjects of class X SMA Negeri 2 Kuningan. Class X-1 was chosen as the experimental class to be treated (treatment) and class X-2 as the control class or the comparison class which was treated with the conventional learning method. The research method used was a quasi-experimental method. The data was collected by means of a written test. Data processing was performed using parametric statistical tests through two-way independent t test (indefendent t-test). Using the SPSS program for windows version 21.00. Based on the results of the research, there was an effect of the application of the cooperative learning model type team games tournament to student learning outcomes in economic subjects at the standard of Competence Understanding Economic Concepts in Relation to Consumer and Producer Economic activities at Class X Students of SMA Negeri 2 Kuningan. Its meaning that the TGT method is very effectively used to teach the concept of Economics in the material of Consumer and Producer Economic activities at Class X SMA Negeri 2 Kuningan. Suggestions that can be conveyed are for teachers who will teach the economic concept of material economic activities of Consumers and Producers, it would be better if they try to use the TGT method, because through the research conducted by us as researchers it turns out that the TGT method is effective in teaching material for consumer and producer activities.

Needs Analysis of Teaching Materials Poetry Appreciation for Kuningan University Students 《昆宁安大学生诗歌鉴赏》教材的需求分析

. This study aims to determine the need for teaching materials in the poetry appreciation course in Kuningan University. The results of the preliminary study stated that the value of the poetry appreciation course was below the average value of the appreciation of fiction and drama. This is because the poetry appreciation course is a difficult subject. The reasons stated why poetry appreciation is difficult include the character of the language of poetry which is relatively different from prose, the process and stages of poetry appreciation which are complex, and teaching materials that are not in accordance with learning outcomes. The inadequacy of teaching materials is caused by the limited number of teaching materials for poetry appreciation. Puspita, Andayani, Waluyo, and Rohmadi also expressed the teaching materials for poetry appreciation (2017: 622-623). The results of their research stated that the results of the survey of poetry appreciation textbooks used by universities in Central Java were still minimal. The books used in six universities in Central Java are the Pengkajian dan Apresiasi Puisi, Pengkajian Puisi, Berkenalan dengan Puisi, Stilistika, dan Wacana Musikalisasi . Based on this background, the focus in this study is to analyze the needs of poetry appreciation teaching materials (needs, lacks, want) for students at the Kuningan University. The samples in this study were students and lecturers at the Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program, Kuningan University. The research method used is descriptive analysis. The data collection technique used was interviews. Based on the results of the interview, it can be concluded that the need for poetry appreciation teaching materials for students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program, Kuningan University is as follows. This is as follows. (1) Needs: In-depth theory, assignment instructions, examples of performances, contextual approaches, expert content; (2) Lacks: incomplete theory, no examples of poetry performances, no assignments; (3) Want: characteristics of teaching materials, poetry analysis, pictures, video examples of poetry performance practices.

The ability to think critically is very important for students because one’s ability to be able to succeed in his life is determined by, among others, his thinking skills, especially in the effort to solve life's problems that he faces. The purpose of this study is to test the theory of CTL (Constructivist Theories of Learning) by analyzing the first, The Effect of Reciprocal Teaching learning methods and Discussion methods on students' critical thinking skills. Second, the effect of learning independence on students' critical thinking skills. Third, the effect of the interaction between the Reciprocal Teaching Method and learning independence on students' Critical Thinking Skill. The method used in this study is an experimental method with a comparative approach. The design used is factorial. The subject of the research were all students of class X IPS3 and X IPS4 SMA Negeri 1 Sumber, as many as 72 students. The instrument used are consisted of tests of critical thinking skills and a learning independence questionnaire. Data was analyzed with the test of two-way ANOVA. Based on the analysis results obtained: (1) The learning methods affect students' critical thinking skills, with sig. value 0.008 < 0.050, (2) Learning independence has a significant effect on students' critical thinking skills, with sig value 0,000 < 0.050, (3) There was no interaction effect between the learning methods and learning independence on students' critical thinking skill, with sig value 0.432 > 0.050. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that: (1) learning with the reciprocal teaching method is more effective in improving students' critical thinking skills compared to the discussion method, (2) There are differences in the influence of high, medium and low learning independence in influencing the critical thinking skills of students in the experimental class and control class, the value of students' critical thinking skills with high levels of learning independence is more effective when compared to students with moderate and low levels of learning independence, (3) the moderator variable is not strengthening and weakening the independent variable, meaning that Reciprocal teaching learning methods and learning independence both play an important role and provide a major contribution in supporting the development of students' critical thinking skills

Learning Readiness by Middle School Students during Covid-19 Pandemic 新冠肺炎疫情期间中学生的学习准备情况

. This study aims to determine the level of readiness of students, teachers, parents of students in learning during the Covid-19 pandemic from August to October at junior high schools (SMP) equivalent in Kuningan City, Kuningan Regency. The research method used is a one-time survey (cross-sectional survey) where data is only collected for a certain time with the aim of describing the condition of the population. The results obtained were at the student level with a sample of 174 students, 150 teachers, and 174 parents, the level of readiness of student in learning during the pandemic was 75,5%, teacher’s learning readiness was 77,2%, and parent’s learning readiness was 65,7%. Therefore, the student’s and parent’s learning readiness during covid-19 pandemic should be increased, starts from the aspect of resources, education, and environment.

The Implementation of Technology-Enabled Seamless Language Learning in Teaching Descriptive Text 技术支持的语言无缝学习在描述性文本教学中的实现

This study reports on the implementation of Technology-Enabled Seamless Language Learning (TESLL) in writing descriptive text. It aimed to investigate how TESSL was being implemented in the classroom and how it affected the students’ skill in writing descriptive text. Triangulation mixed-method was applied in this research with 6 classes of first year students from different study program at Universitas Kuningan were chosen as the participants. The data were taken from various sources like tests, observation notes, and documents to support the findings. Observation notes and documents were used to find out how TESLL was implemented in the classroom. Tests results were used to investigate how TESLL affect students writing skills. The first result showed that with the involvement of technology like LMS, online quizzes, YouTube videos and video conferences apps could cater the teaching and learning descriptive text in remote setting. This model also enhanced and elicited students’ participation in the classroom activity especially in quizzes sessions. Then, second, the t result indicated that the significant scores were below 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of TESLL has a significant effect in developing students’ descriptive writing skill

. Education in the current era is facing global challenges that coincide with the socio-economic crisis around the world due to the spread of covid-19. This pandemic incident caused like or dislike the implementation of education, which originally had to be carried out face-to-face, to be disrupted because it was feared that it would worsen the transmission and pandemic of Covid-19. The online distance learning policy (online) is a logical choice so that learning can still be implemented. This requires students to have basic skills in the use of technology and information platforms in order to access learning from teachers. This research was conducted with the aim of finding out how far the students were fortitude in carrying out distance learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research is categorized as qualitative research in which data is extracted through a questionnaire to students at Akper Giri Satria Husada Wonogiri. The Likert scale was used to collect data from respondents, totaling 133 students. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that the factors that played a role in student resilience in distance learning during the Covid-19 pandemic were included in the good category, whether it was seen from the knowledge of information technology, facilities and infrastructure, the variety of media and applications used, the benefits of the media and IT-based applications, as well as mastery of lecturers in IT.
