Effect of Phosphorous and Phosphorous Plus Nitrogen Application on Nutritive Value and In situ Digestion Kinetics of Oat (Evena sativa) Grass in Nili Ravi Buffalo Bulls 施磷和磷加氮对尼利拉维水牛燕麦草营养价值和原位消化动力学的影响

Current study was undertaken to investigate the effect of different levels of phosphorous (P) and phosphorous plus nitrogen (NP) fertilizer on nutritive value and in situ digestion kinetics of oat fodder in Nili Ravi buffalo bulls. Four cannulated buffalo bulls were used for in situ screening of oat fodder harvested at 100 days of age sown using different levels of phosphorous and phosphorous plus nitrogen fertilizers. Dry matter (DM) and crude protein (CP) content were higher (p<0.05) in oat fodder supplemented with P and NP fertilizer as compared to control. The supplementation of P fertilizer resulted in decreased NDF and hemicellulose and did not show any effect on ADF content of oat fodder. At 48 h of incubation, in situ digestibility of DM, CP, NDF, ADF and hemicellulose was greater (p<0.05) with medium levels (N20P20 and N25P25) of P and NP fertilizer as compared to control. The extent of DM, CP, NDF, ADF and hemicellulose digestion and rate of degradation was increased in response to P and NP fertilization. However, the lag time of DM, CP, NDF, ADF and hemicellulose of oat fodder was the inverse because it decreased in repose to medium level of P and NP fertilization as compared to control.

Small Mammal Abundance and Forest Structure Changes by Different Post-Fire Silviculural Practices in Phou Khao Khauy National Protected Area, Lao PDR 老挝Phou Khao khay国家保护区火灾后不同造林方式对小型哺乳动物数量和森林结构的影响

We examined the abundance of five small rodent species, the chestnut white-bellied rat ( Niviventer fulvescens ), red spiny rat ( Maxomys surifer ), long-tailed giant rat ( Leopoldamys sabanus ), house mouse ( Mus musculus ), and black rat ( Rattus rattus ), and the stand structure of primary and secondary forest stands resulting from two types of post-fire silvicultural management practices in the Phou Khao Khauy National Protected Area (PKKNPA), Lao PDR. Post-fire silvicultural practices contributed to dramatically converting the structure of forests. Coverage of overstory, midstory, and ground vegetation, number of tree stems, woody seedlings, snags, and volume of coarse woody debris all had significant differences among study sites. We captured 456 individual small rodents during the dry and rainy seasons. The mean number of small rodents captured in primary forests was significantly higher than that in two secondary forests. In addition, there were more rodents in burned rice field stands than in burned rubber plantation stands. The value of overstory to understory vegetation coverage and the volume of coarse woody debris were strongly associated with small-mammal abundance in the PKKNPA. Thus, post-fire silvicultural practices should take the differences in small rodent abundance as well as forest structure into account. Long-term experiments may help illuminate the potential effects of management strategies after forest fires in the Lao PDR.

Identification of Novel Biomarkers MCM2 and GINS2 for Cervical Cancer 宫颈癌新标志物MCM2和GINS2的鉴定

Cervical cancer (CC) is the most common malignant tumor in women, and its prognosis is poor. The key genes and pathways of CC need to be further discovered. GEO2R was used to identify differentially expressed genes (DEG), GO and KEGG enrichment were analyzed by DAVID. Then, the PPI network is constructed with STRINGS. The HUB gene and module of DEGS were obtained by Cytoscape. Finally, GEPIA also analyzed the differential expression and survival of key genes. 234 DEG were extracted from GSE9750. The uterus is the fourth organ highlighted in the concentrated analysis. The functional changes of DEGS are mainly related to cell cycle progression, cell cycle, helicase activity, DNA helicase activity, exosome and p53 signal pathway. In addition, five HUB genes and one key module were identified. Survival analysis showed that MCM2 and GINS2 were significantly correlated with overall survival. Expression analysis showed that MCM2 and GINS2 were highly expressed in cancer tissues, but low in normal tissues, which was consistent with the results of GEO analysis. Correlation analysis showed that there was a significant positive correlation between MCM2 and GINS2. This study suggests that MCM2 and GINS2 may be new biomarkers to predict the prognosis of CC.

Evaluation of Ovsynch Estrus Synchronization in Holstein Friesian and Holstein Friesian-Jersey Crossbred Cows at District Thatta, Sindh, Pakistan 巴基斯坦信德省塔塔地区荷斯坦黑布兰和荷斯坦黑布兰-泽西杂交奶牛的发情期同步评价

The current study was conducted to assess the ovsynch estrus synchronization in imported pure Holstein Friesian and Holstein Friesian-Jersey crossbred cows at district Thatta Sindh. A total 30 Holstein Friesian and Holstein Friesian-Jersey crossbred cattle were selected and divided into three groups i.e., A (10 pure Holstein Friesian cows), B (10 Holstein Friesian-Jersey crossbred cows), and C (5 pure Holstein Friesian and 5 Holstein Friesian–Jersey crossbred cows) as control group. All selected animals were scanned through ultrasound to ensure the normality of reproductive tract. Animals of group A and group B were treated with Ovsynch protocol {GnRH; (Dalmarelin, FATRO) intramuscular at day 0 followed by PGF2α (Dalmazin; FATRO) intramuscular at day 7 and 2 nd GnRH intramuscular at day 9} for estrus synchronization while animals of group C was kept as untreated control (intramuscular injection of normal saline as placebo on day 0, 7 and 9). Animals of all group underwent fixed time insemination at 16 h of last treatment. Results showed that estrus response vary significantly among the groups (P<0.05). Overall estrus response was observed significantly higher in group B (80%), followed by A (60%) and C (10%). Intensity of estrus was determined by observing the estrus signs. Results showed significantly higher intensity of estrus signs in Group B than A and C for mucus discharge 90%, 65%,10%, flehmen 90%, 60%,10%, standing heat80%, 60%, 10% and sniffing vagina 80%, 70%, 10%, respectively. Estrus duration differs significantly among the treatment groups (P<0.05). Significantly maximum estrus duration was noted in group B (15.02 ± 0.21 h), then A (13.58 ± 2.22 h) and C (10 ± 0.00 h). In all groups blood samples were collected from the milk vein on day 0 (the first treatment), day 7, day 11 (one day after artificial insemination), day 18 and day 30 from all groups for determining progesterone level. Statistical analysis showed non-significant differences in progesterone level among groups at day 0. Furthermore, on Day 7, Group C differed significantly in progesterone level than A and B; however non-significant difference were observed in group A and B, while in group C difference was significant. On day 11 significantly highest values of blood progesterone were seen in group C (2.63 ± 0.22) followed by A (1.65 ± 0.35) and then B (1.48 ± 0.22). Statistical analysis showed that group C was significantly different from A and B, but there was non-significant difference between A and B. At day 18 highest P4 values were seen in B (4.20 ± 0.44) followed by A (3.33 ± 0.39) and then C (1.88 ± 0.59). Statistical analysis showed that group B and A had non-significant difference among each other, while both groups had significant differences with group C.
