Professional psychological selection has become an integral part of personnel management in many sectors of the economy. At the same time, despite the apparent need, such selection is not carried out in such an emergency area as the elimination of the consequences of accidents on the railway. The purpose of our study is to justify the necessity for the selection of workers of recovery trains on the railway in terms of the formation of their professionally important qualities (PIQ).

Nowadays, the role of the Arctic in the world is constantly growing. Many states link their longterm goals with the Arctic region. Since 2000, the changes that are occurring in the region have global economic and political consequences. The concept of human development has emerged in recent years as an alternative to such dimension of human well-being or the quality of life as gross domestic product (GDP) per capita. The nature of human development in the Arctic, the attempts to understand and regulate it have become key issues not only for the development of the Arctic people themselves, but also for the development of the entire Arctic region. Depending on the proportion of indigenous and non-indigenous population, the age factor in each circumpolar region significantly affects the social and economic conditions of the territory. The driving forces of social and economic development of the Arctic regions and the main macroeconomic indicators (gross regional product per capita, life expectancy etc.) cannot provide the necessary positive dynamics in the implementation of "social potential" of the Arctic region. Accordingly, action is needed to create conditions that would reveal the full potential of the Arctic regions of Russia and ensure high level and quality of life in the framework of the new

The paper contains an overview of stress-coping research concerning loneliness experience (Cacioppo et al.; etc.). Stress-coping research data concerning loneliness experience is large: Cacioppo, Fowler, Christakis. Emotional deprivation, lack of a close partner and subjective loneliness are connected not only with personality traits, but also with real relationships having impact on coping choice. A new special focus is made on social-psychological determinants of loneliness in close (marital) relationships, influencing coping process. Spouses of extreme shift-work professionals are more likely to experience deprivation in partnership through regular absence of a partner/husband/wife at home (it is especially true for women). It could be mentioned that they are better understood only by others who were in the same situation. Loneliness is a great accompanying stressor in these couples, who have difficulties in coping with it. Rather often they deny it, demonstrating strong ego-defense mechanisms more than coping efforts. The aim of the study is to analyze different kinds on loneliness experience in relationships and coping with it in connection with cognitive-behavioral transition / change. It is suggested that close family relationships may be or may be not a factor of personal resource`s system of a worker. Much of the understanding of becoming and being lonely comes from qualitative research in which in-depth interviews and narratives reveal the process and dynamics of this major life transition. Method. Cognitive-emotional evaluation measures (UCLA, coping scale CISS, Marital relationships` inventories. Samples we used are older (n1=158; av. age = 49.4) and younger spouses in ordinary and shift-workers` families (N2=84; av. age =29.1). Findings reflect the mixed results concerning whether adaptation / adjusting to shift work as a life change and the following loneliness is more difficult for men or women. Among the results there are: the lonelier a person considers oneself, the less productive coping strategies he/she adopts. More maritally satisfied and thus less lonely people use different coping with loneliness: they prefer active coping, while lonely and less satisfied with their relationships choose self-blaming and denial. Conclusion: Life changes, especially concerning extreme professional shift-work, give rise to a multi-level stress in the important spheres of job and close relations, marital included. Loneliness, hard longing for personal autonomy, emotional instability is negative outcomes in this situation. This triggers coping through cognitive-behavioral efforts, different in productivity and effectiveness. A modern family could not be a constant coping resource during life

The purpose of the study: to identify the features of psychological safety of specialists in shift work organization in the North and South of the Russian Federation. Samples: 1) 68 shift workers of diamond production in the Far North at the age of 26 to 59 years, the experience of the shift method in the North from 1 to 30 years; 2) 82 shift workers employed in the construction of the Crimean bridge, aged 21 to 64 years , the experience of the shift method in the South from 1 to 20 years. Methods of research: 1) psycho-physiological level of psychological safety – a "Complex visual-motor reaction" and "Variation cardiointervalography" made using the device of psychophysiological testing UPFT-1/30 "Physiologist"; 2) psychological level of color test M. lusher with the calculation of interpretation coefficients G. A. Amineva; 3) the image of the object of labour and subject of labour – questionnaire; 4) the image of the subject-object and subject-subject relations – "Express-method" for the study of socio-psychological climate in labor collective O. S. Michaluk and A. Yu. Shalyto. Statistical methods: two-stage cluster analysis, multivariate variance analysis, contingency tables. Statistical data processing was performed using the IBM SPSS Statistics 23.00 statistical package. Comparing with the model of psychological safety of workers of diamond production and builders of the Crimean bridge, such components as psychological and psychophysiological levels of the functional status, the components of the image of the object of labor and the image of the subject of labor, as well as the image of the subject-object and subjective relations coincide. It is established that in the South the emergency adaptation strategy is used to a greater extent (81.9%) than in the Far North (54.2%), which poses the risk of depletion of internal reserves by the end of the shift. There are differences in the psychophysiological level of functional status: in the South, more employees have a reduced level of functional status (62.9%) than in the North (44.4%). this tells us that employees of the Far North have a higher level of functionality than employees of the South. According to the image of the object of labor there is a positive trend, both in the South (71.8%) and in the Far North (76.1%), workers give low and undifferentiated hazard assessment, this means that workers do not see a special danger of dangerous situations in the shift period. Regarding the image of the subject of labor, it should be noted that in the Far North (63.1%) and in the South (94.8%) give a higher assessment of their professionalism. The component image of subject-object and subject-subject relations, as in the Far North (43.1%) and in the South (41.8%) workers give a positive assessment.

At present, the Arctic is a strategic region, to a large extent ensuring political and energy security of Russia. Development and effective use of the Arctic territories require professional personnel ready to work in extreme natural conditions. Indigenous peoples of the Far North, living in the Arctic, are a natural human resource for preserving and developing the Arctic territories. In view of this, it is important to be aware of professional orientation of senior adolescents – representatives of indigenous peoples of the Far North of Russia, and their readiness to work in the Arctic. We have conducted an empirical research aimed at identifying personal professional orientation of senior adolescents – representatives of indigenous population of the Far North of Russia. To study professional orientation of senior indigenous adolescents living in the Far North of Russia we used the following methods: “Questionnaire of professional readiness” by L.N. Kabardova “Methods for identifying main motives for career choice” by E. M. Pavlyutenkov. As a result of the study, we have identified professional orientation of Nenets adolescents – boys and girls aged 15–16 years, towards the following professional spheres: man, technical equipment, nature, sign, imagery. We have analyzed the components of professional readiness: perceived skills, emotional attitude, readiness for performing successfully in a certain area. The correlation of motives for career choice (social, moral, aesthetic, cognitive, creative, related to the content of work, financial, prestige, utilitarian) was established. The obtained results provide a better understanding of professional orientation of senior adolescents – representatives of indigenous peoples of the Russian Far North, and their readiness to work in the Arctic. Keywords— Professional orientation, adolescents, indigenous population of the Far North of Russia.
