The goal of this study was to examine the relationship between proactive coping strategies and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The study used Proactive Coping Inventory to measure the severity of proactive coping strategies. ICD-11 criteria were used to study the symptoms of PTSD. Data was collected through an anonymous online survey. Results: The most significant levels of coping strategies reducing the likelihood of PTSD for people who survived a traumatic situation: high levels of proactive coping and planning. The probability of PTSD is also reduced by a high level of planning, a medium level of proactive coping, a high level of search of instrumental support seeking. Slightly reduce the likelihood of PTSD high level of preventive coping.

The emergency situations in the Arctic Regions arise both under the influence of natural and human factors. Personality disadaptation highly increases the risk of mistake in the activity, the risk of emergency. Diagnostics of personality adaptation is performed by means of objective and subjective methods and techniques. Both proved for decades and newly developed, modified techniques are applied for this purpose. The prediction problem of personality adaptation under conditions of the Arctic Regions retain its relevance in virtue of the increasing need for the experts capable to carry out professional tasks in special conditions, including overcoming difficulties of the emergency situations. The Arctic conditions demand higher standards of psychophysiological features of the person, its psychological resistance to negative factors of the environment, severe conditions. The research objective is a search of the possible summarized psychological profile of the personality adaptive to special conditions and also those features that are peculiar to representatives of the certain professions carrying out activity in special conditions. It is supposed that prediction of personality adaptation in emergency situations under conditions of the Arctic Regions is possible on the basis of highquality and complex diagnostics. Any prediction of personality adaptation is limited in time by the stability of primary activity, i.e. in the case of relocation, change of office questions range, etc., adaptation level can change. Research problems are: to consider the subject matter and meaning of diagnostics and prediction of personality adaptation in emergency situations under conditions of the Arctic Regions; to show the importance of system consideration of diagnostics and prediction of personality adaptation in emergency situations under conditions of the Arctic Regions; to show the connection of personal characteristics and adaptation of the persons having professional training of the activity in special conditions, and to separate the main clusters of the tested persons according to the adaptation level of the personality in the course of professional training; to develop possibilities of prediction of personality adaptation in the emergency situations under conditions of the Arctic Regions on the basis of diagnostics during professional training; to provide comparative analysis of psychological peculiarities of the studied subsampling depending on the course of study, future specialty, sex of the tested persons; to summarize the research results; to prove the further directions of theoretical and empirical researches on the basis of the results received. The modern, fast-changing world affects the performance, livelihoods and well-being of man. In the conditions of information, rapid technological changes and digitization in various spheres of life, certain professional attributes are required. There is a need for a professional who is able to make correct and strategical decisions in a multitasking situation, find ways out of crises, assist those who find themselves in a difficult situation and also has a resistance to stress and finds the best way out of crisis. Occupations involving risk and coping with stress include “air traffic controller” specialists who control and ensure the safe and orderly movement of airplanes on the ground and in the air. The work of check-in agents in the airport system is less associated with risks, however, people in this profession have to resolve contentious, conflict situations and ensure the safety of flight preparations. Thus, the purpose of this investigation is to study the features manifested in stress resistant personalities and preferences in the choice of coping strategies by airport employees (air traffic controllers and registration agents). The study was conducted at the airport base "Domodedovo" (Moscow). The sample size is 78 respondents, of which: 38 are dispatchers, 40 are registration agents. In the course of the empirical research, the following psycho diagnostic tools were used: "Resistance to stress" (F.T. Gottwald); "Perceptual assessment of stress resistance type "(POTS); “Express diagnostics of propensity for unmotivated anxiety V.V. Boiko)”; “Coping behavior in stressful situations” (adapted by TA Kryukova)”. The methods of mathematical statistics were also used: correlation (Spearman), factorial, comparative (U Mann – Whitney test) analyzes. The results indicates that the average level of stress resistance of the respondents in both groups. However, air traffic controllers are distinguished by the ability to quickly and clearly formulate goals and find the best ways to achieve them. Representatives of this group are distinguished by their willingness to solve problems themselves and choose a way out of a difficult situation, to be in working mode for a long time and efficiently using temporary resources. Registration agents are more prone to unmotivated anxiety, but at the same time, they are capable of solving problems under time pressure. Respondents in this group more often use coping strategies related to emotions and avoidance. In the fast pace of the modern world, the level of exposure to various stresses is constantly growing. In connection with this, the study of psychological stress is becoming increasingly scientific and practical. Almost every person experienced severe stressful situations in their life. 快速变化的现代世界影响着人类的表现、生计和福祉。在信息、快速技术变革和数字化的条件下,生活的各个领域都需要一定的专业属性。我们需要一个专业的人,他能够在多任务处理的情况下做出正确的战略决策,找到摆脱危机的方法,帮助那些发现自己处于困境的人,也能抵抗压力,找到摆脱危机的最佳方法。涉及风险和应对压力的职业包括“空中交通管制员”,他们控制并确保飞机在地面和空中安全有序地飞行。值机代理在机场系统中的工作与风险联系较少,然而,这个职业的人必须解决有争议的、冲突的情况,并确保飞行准备的安全。因此,本研究的目的是研究机场员工(空中交通管制员和登记员)在应对策略选择中表现出的抗压力性格特征和偏好。这项研究是在“多莫杰多沃”机场基地(莫斯科)进行的。调查样本量为78人,其中:调度员38人,登记员40人。在实证研究过程中,使用了以下心理诊断工具:“抵抗压力”(F.T. Gottwald);“抗应力型知觉评估”(POTS);表达诊断无动机焦虑倾向(V.V. Boiko);“压力情况下的应对行为”(改编自TA Kryukova)。数理统计方法:相关分析(Spearman)、析因分析(factorial)、比较分析(comparative) (U Mann - Whitney test)。结果表明,两组受访者的平均抗压水平。然而,空中交通管制员的特点是能够快速、清晰地制定目标,并找到实现目标的最佳方法。这一群体的代表的特点是他们愿意自己解决问题,选择摆脱困境的方法,长期处于工作状态,有效地利用临时资源。注册代理更容易产生无动机的焦虑,但与此同时,他们在时间压力下能够解决问题。这一群体的受访者更经常使用与情绪和回避相关的应对策略。在快节奏的现代世界中,暴露于各种压力的水平不断增长。与此相关,心理压力的研究正变得越来越科学和实用。几乎每个人在他们的生活中都经历过严重的压力。在我们这个时代,一个人的社会价值被放在第一位;健康是生命的重要条件。一个有社会价值和健康的人的标准之一是他们的工作能力,这取决于精神上对压力情况的抵抗力。高水平的抗压力能力有助于保持和加强健康,以及个人的高水平专业精神。关键词:压力;人格特质焦虑;应对策略;

Risks of personality’s professionalization in mass professions are usually associated with the duration of the realization of the main professional functions, without considering the specifics of the risks within the framework of individual specializations. Perhaps this explains, in practice, the lack of researches studying the risks of transformation of the personality of teachers working with different contingent of students. This problem is particularly relevant and urgent for teachers of social asylums, whose activities are highly socially significant because of their considerable contribution to the correction and introduction of customers into society, support of their personal development. The importance of this problem solving is due to the fact that employees of social asylums are in conditions that require, first of all, the manifestation of high moral responsibility for the health and life of pupils. The risks of this profession also include permanent stress that occurs even in the simplest interaction with customers and their representatives, continuous monitoring of problems encountered by customers. As a result of a long stay in this profession, there is a transformation of professionalism, which gives rise to various professional deformations. All this also caused an urgent necessity to study the peculiarities of the risks of long-term realization of the functions of a teacher of a social asylum, to analyze the determinants causing professional deformations. The article reveals the significance of the labor motivation for penal officers’ professional development. The extreme nature of work with inmates influences greatly on penal officers as well as has a negative impact on their professional activity. Knowledge of psychological conditions that determine the professional development of the identity of the officer in the correctional institutions is necessary for improving productivity of their professional activity that depends much on their labor motivation. The results of our research have shown that one third of respondents have reported external positive motivation, internal motivation and one fifth of respondents have reported external negative motivation; a little number of respondents has reported all types of labor motivation at an equal extent. Comparing the penal officers’ motivation structure with various types of dominant motivation has revealed some significant differences. Key components of the labor motivation structure differ with all groups of respondents. The officers having external negative motivation are characterized by the least level of all indicators in the labor motivation structure in comparison with other groups, and the officers having external positive motivation are characterized by the maximum meanings almost in all motivation indicators. The results of the research have shown that the motivation sphere is of greatest importance for the penal officers’ professional development. The extreme nature of work with inmates influences greatly on penal officers as well as has a negative impact on their professional activity. Knowledge of psychological conditions that determine the professional development of the identity of the officer in the correctional institutions is necessary for improving productivity of their professional activity that depends much on their labor motivation. The results of our research have shown that one third of respondents have reported external positive motivation, internal motivation and one fifth of respondents have reported external negative motivation; a little number of respondents has reported all types of labor motivation at an equal extent. Comparing the penal officers’ motivation structure with various types of dominant motivation has revealed some significant differences. Key components of the labor motivation structure differ with all groups of respondents. The officers having external negative motivation are characterized by the least level of all indicators in the labor motivation structure in comparison with other groups, and the officers having external positive motivation are characterized by the maximum meanings almost in all motivation indicators. The results of the research have shown that the motivation sphere is of greatest importance for the penal officers’ professional development. It is necessary to determine the vector in the psychological work with each group of penal officers to optimize their labor motivation.","PeriodicalId":204028,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the II International Scientific-Practical Conference \"Psychology of Extreme Professions\" (ISPCPEP 2019)","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127617074","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Currently, the concepts of «professional identity» and «professional deformation» are not studied and operational enough in the system of internal affairs agencies, there is no meaningful comparison of these phenomena at the theoretical and empirical level. Research of their correlation will help to solve problems of higher reliability of employees and higher efficiency of their professional activity in a complex. The purpose of the research is to reveal the correlation of professional identity and professional deformations of employees of the internal affairs agencies (case study of employees of the internal affairs agencies of the Arkhangelsk region) in order to develop a typology reflecting a combination of identity and deformation. Research methods are testing, questioning. In result the correlation between professional identity and professional deformation has been revealed. that higher “professional identity”, the displays of “authoritativeness” and “conservatism” are higher, and decreasing of “trade identity” and “self-identity” increases risk of development of such deformations as “learned helplessness”, “professional aggression” and “anxiety”, and the higher the professional group identity, “super control” increases, Keywords— professional deformation, professional identity, police officers, internal affairs agencies
