A menstrual cup is a device that is inserted into the vagina during menstruation. Menstrual cups have been available for decades, but there use in India is limited because of lack of awareness and popularity of sanitary pads. Since they are reusable, they reduce solid waste and are environment friendly. The need of the hour is education, awareness, and availability of the eco-friendly practices when it comes to managing menstrual waste effectively. Once it is taken care of, it will be easy for anyone to make a green switch. Hence, the study was undertaken to assess the level of knowledge and attitude on menstrual cup among adolescent girls in selected schools. Thrissur. The objectives of the study were, to assess the level of knowledge and attitude on menstrual cup among adolescent girls and to associate the level of knowledge and attitude on menstrual cup among the samples with their selected demographic variables. The design of the study was descriptive and was conducted among 50 adolescent girls from St. Sebastian School, Nellikkunnu, Thrissur. The samples were selected by using purposive sampling technique. Various new drugs are being introduced in the market. This proves a hectic problem for Toxicologist to identify the exact nature of the drug and its metabolites in the viscera for cases involving death due to drug poisoning. When a case is taken for drug analysis, we have to be more exhaustive in ruling out drugs. For identification of Inderal tablets, a new Thin Layer chromatography system has been developed. After systematic trials, the paper has found out a new solvent system with spray for eluting Inderal tablets.

A Catalysis is a strategic field of science because it involves new ways of meeting energy and sustainability challenges. In the field of green chemistry, there has been a rapid increase in the use of green Nano-catalysts as well as green conditions during the catalysis of industrially relevant reactions. With the aim to avoid the use of toxic reagent, toxic volatile organic solvents, hazardous or harsh reaction conditions as well as challenging and over time-consuming wasteful separations, greener and environmentally benign catalytic protocols have recently become most popular. For the composition of green Nano catalysts is to synthesizing the Nano catalysts by using green solvents or processing the nanocatalysts so that they are finally diffuse in green solvents. The Nano-sized particles increase the exposed surface area of the highly active component of the catalyst, thereby increasing the contact between reactants and catalyst dramatically and imitate the homogeneous catalysts, Green Nano catalysis generally refers to doing the catalytic reaction in the green solvents and preferably by the use of green nanocatalysts for these reactions. This chapter is focus on green nanocatalysts as well as industrially important green reactions.

Green technology develops and creates a pathway for the future’s energy generations. The objective of the research is to find out different technology suitable for energy generation by not harming the environment besides protection of natural environment. With the rise of earth’s temperature day to day, depletion of energy, global warming, it is inevitable to develop some methodology of green technology to save the life and property. Environmental protections are covered with green energy which is centre for economic, social and environmental area. The fuels produced by different sources like oil, coal and natural gases are trying to become an efficient engine for economic progress but at the same time they are harmful for the environment and also harms health that confronts with the global energy requirement. Every sector utilizing energy from agriculture to construction of house, green technology is has made its application for the sake of sustainable development without harming the environment. With the rise of industrial growth bringing development of the society that leads to problematic with the emission of green-house gases into the atmospheres making the water unfit for consumption as well as for the air used for breathing. Hence Green technology is a appropriate pathway towards future’s alternative technology.

India is the second largest country in the world based on the population that faces many challenges for various environmental issues such as water and air pollution etc. As per the survey by World Bank experts this issues become more exacerbated between 1947 and 1995. Within last decade India has devoted towards putting much efforts to resolve these environmental issues and improving environmental qualities. The major possible issues those contributes to various environmental issues include population growth, deforestation, establishment of industries for growth of economy, burning of fuel, degradation of agricultural lands, drainage of consumer waste into water resources such as rivers, depletion of natural resources such as water, mineral, rocks etc. Another major factor that contributes largely for environmental pollution includes solid waste pollution. As per the data available elsewhere there are more than hundred million tons of solid wastes generated by various cities in India in every year. Now-a-days it has been observed that the tourist places of India are also facing such issues. Green technology is an environment friendly technology which has developed and used to protect the environment and conserves natural resources. This technology is intended to mitigate or reverse the effects of human activity on the environment. Green technology generally uses innovative ideas and methods to create environment friendly products. Green nano-technology that uses green engineering and green chemistry is one of the emerging fields in science and technology. In the matter of environmental pollution and the disposal of waste, Green technology answers to that as well. Among all the possible areas where the creations and growth are possible that include; eco- friendly textiles, biodegradable papers and containers, green energy, green building, organic agriculture, and manufacturing of similar products and materials to support green business. Green technology covers a broad area of production and consumption technologies. The 7R’s of green technology also includes replace, reduce, reliable, repair, reuse, recycle and resources. The green technologies involve the use of environmental technologies for assessment of pollution prevention and control, remediation and restoration. A prevention technology helps to avoid the production of environmentally hazardous substances to minimize damage to the environment.
