This study aims to investifate the effect of job stress and leadership style (transformational and toxic) on job satisfaction and its impact on employee retention. The research design uses hypothesis testing. The population were employees of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Trisakti. The number of samples is 154 respondents. The analytical method is the Structural Equation Model (SEM). The research findings showed that even though job stress produces a negative influence on job satisfaction, it is not statistically significant. Leadership styles have a positive effect on job satisfaction, where transformational leadership is more dominant than toxic leadership. The results also showed that job satisfaction has a positive impact on employee retention. The indirect test results showed that job satisfaction mediated for job stress but not mediated for leadership style where the effect of transformational leadership is stronger than toxic leadership.

The execution of a fiduciary guarantee on the vehicle financing practice often creates problems even though the position of the recipients of the fiduciary guarantee is strong, as mentioned in Indonesia’s Law No. 42/1999. If the agreement is broken, the execution of the fiduciary guarantee can be carried out in three ways: (1) the execution through the executorial title, (2) the sale of the object of the fiduciary guarantee, and (3) the sale under the hand based on an agreement between the giver and the recipient of the fiduciary. After the Constitutional Court Decision No. 18/PUU-XVII/2019 is issued, there are additional provisions, namely agreement on the broken promise which needs to be included and voluntary submission concerning the object of fiduciary. This study was conducted on four automotive financing companies after the Constitutional Court Decision No. 18/PUU-XVII/2019, whose implementation was different. The type of this study was normative legal research with a descriptive approach. In addition, the data used were secondary data which were analyzed qualitatively. The results of the study can be concluded that (1) there are different interpretations of the regulations of the execution of fiduciary guarantees, (2) there are requirements that are difficult to fulfill, and (3) there are contradictions in several court decisions. The recommendations offered are that technical guidelines need to be made to support legal certainty in the execution of fiduciary guarantees.

This study proposes to analyze and describe the effects of independence, competence, and audit experience on audit judgment with task complexity as moderating variable. This study also uses primary data by distributing questionnaires to Jakarta city auditors. Subsequently, 115 samples were generated using random sampling, and a series of tests were performed, including validity, reliability, multiple linear regression, F and T-tests. Independence and audit experience was then observed to positively influence the judgement of an auditor while competency has no impact. Task complexity strengthens the influence of independence, competence on audit judgment, On the other hand, task complexity weakens the influence of audit experience on audit judgment.

Financial performance can be used to measure the success of a company. In this study, Gross Domestic Product (GDP) moderated the capital structure and financial performance. Higher GDP determines the appropriate composition of capital structure and improves the company’s financial performance. This research used the panel data regression method. Results indicated that the factors influencing financial performance are Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), GDP moderated Domestic Product (GDP), GDP moderated Debt to Equity (GDER), and GDP moderated Loan to Deposit Ratio (GLDR). The financial performance of the company is influenced by the moderation of DER and LDR by GDP. In other words, a fairly strong influence is shown by economic conditions on the determination of the capital structure and also the improvement of the company’s finances

The definition of affiliated companies in controlling mergers according to competition law based on Article 7 GR No. 57/2010 is an exception to the obligation of business actors to report their corporate actions to KPPU. The application of the term affiliated has several times led to differences of opinion leading to the imposition of sanctions in the form of late penalty for reporting mergers. It is necessary to deepen the definition and criteria for affiliated shares between companies in the shares acquisition according to Article 7 of GR 57/2010. This research is normative research that uses secondary data in the form of regulations by both the government and the KPPU. This study concludes that affiliated company shares are a controlling relationship that occurs due to share ownership of more than 50% or less than 50% but can determine the company's managing business entities. Whereas business entity policy makers are parties involved in determining the company's financial statements and business plans. A clear definition of the term company policy maker is needed, given the increasingly broad dynamics of determining business policies.

The rapidly increasing population growth is not accompanied by an adequate amount of land, causing land that should not be designated for settlements to become settlements which in turn causes various environmental problems. The purpose of this study is to analyze criminal law policies in tackling people's behavior towards land conversion which causes environmental problems such as flooding, landslides, garbage and declining quality of clean water. The research method used in this research is normative legal research, the data source used is secondary data obtained through literature study which is then analyzed qualitatively. Based on the results of the study, the social conflict that occurred in Ambon in 1999 led to the division of settlements based on ethnicity, religion, race and inter-group as well as the increasing number of residents while the increasingly narrow land area became a factor causing people to open settlements in areas/land that were not for its purpose. Residential settlements are built in disaster-prone areas such as on the banks of rivers or on the slopes of mountains, residents cut down trees to clear land even though it is a water catchment area and densely populated settlements that are not in accordance with spatial management cause various environmental problems such as floods, landslides , accumulation of garbage and decreased quality of clean water. There is a need for a Criminal Law Policy in overcoming land use changes that can cause complex environmental problems.

The study encompasses the issues of public opinion manipulation in the post-Covid era. Within the framework of the research, the author delves into the discourse analysis of the most common rhetorical devices used by journalists for implementing the emotionalisation strategy and politicizing the Covid-19 vaccines, including emotional identification with newsreaders, self-presentation as well as appeals to pseudo-authorities. The reliability of the scientific results is supported by the analysis of more than 100 news stories about the Covid-19 vaccines collected from the online versions of the British and US highlycirculated papers. The conducted study shows that emotionalisation of the news coverage of the Covid-19 vaccines is aimed at political decision-making, enhancing or discrediting the image of the vaccines and the countries, polarizing social groups and manipulating public opinion in the digital information warfare. The study promotes deeper understanding of media manipulation tools, thus helping individuals develop media literacy skills.

Abstrak. Minangkabau is an indigenous ethnic group of West Sumatera. The adopted kinship of this ethnic group is matrilineal, which is a lineage based on mother’s ethnicity. In this ethnic group, a woman who is married, wise, and considered as elder, is called Bundo Kanduang. Badatuk ceremony is a ceremony to select Minangkabau tribe leader, and in this event, the role of Bundo Kanduang is not only functionally vital, but also has an implicit symbolic meaning. Considering the importance of the role of Bundo Kanduang, it is considered necessary to acknowledge the representation of symbolic meaning of Bundo Kanduang on activities conducted in the Gadang House. The method utilized in this research is an ethnographic method with qualitative analysis approach. In this research, we discovered that the symbolic meaning of the role of Bundo Kanduang is reflected in the interior of Gadang House that is adjusted to facilitate Bundo Kanduang activities on Badatuk ceremony.
