An Exploration of Semantic Features for Categorizing Emotion Verbal Corpus in Thai 泰语情感语料库分类的语义特征探讨

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence has put forward higher requirements of Thai language for technological and innovative development in Thailand. As natural language processing needs the foundation of Thai language understanding, particularly the semantic analysis, the main purpose of this paper is to explore semantic features of Thai emotion words to find the standard criteria of emotion categorization in Thai language. This research paper takes the data on emotion wordlists from Thai dictionaries and thesaurus in addition of Thai National Corpus (TNC). Linguistic framework of Natural Semantic Metalanguage (NSM) is employed as the guidance of analysis and describing semantic attributes to build the semantic prime set of basic emotions in Thai. The result of this paper highlights the semantic features of the word ‘aai’ (shame or embarrassment) which reflect various classes of emotion. The example of analysis emphasizes that linguistic perspectives, semantic primes of NSM in particular, can be an appropriate tool for distinguishing and categorizing emotion terms and, in turn, for Thai emotion corpus creation.

The Influence of Social Media Marketing on Customer Engagement and Its Impact on Customer’s Purchase Intention in CV. Event Hunter Indonesia 社交媒体营销对客户参与的影响及其对客户购买意愿的影响Event Hunter印度尼西亚

This study aims to determine the influence of social media marketing on customer engagement and its impact on consumer purchase intention in CV. Event Hunter Indonesia. The research was conducted descriptively with a quantitative approach and used primary data from questionnaires. By using participant data of CV. Event Hunter Indonesia between 2018 to 2021, this study carried out a sampling technique with a Likert scale. Data analysis was then conducted using the SmartPLS 3.0 application with PLS-SEM (Partial Least Square – Structural Equation Modeling) to analyze the relationship between variables. This study then shows that all dimension of social media marketing had a positive and significant impact on customer engagement and purchase intention. These dimensions include entertainment, customization, Interaction, and trendiness. Moreover, a significant influence is also given by customer engagement on consumer purchase intention.

Secured and Adaptive Space-Time Two-Path OFDM Systems 安全与自适应空时双径OFDM系统

In this paper, a secured 2x2 space-time (ST) orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system is proposed with parallel cancellation (PC) two-path communication scheme to form a secured 2x2 STPC system in communication networks. These 2x2 STPC-OFDM systems not only secured but also mitigate the inter-carrier interference (ICI) in the mobile channels with a better bit error rate (BER) than that of a conventional 2x2 ST-OFDM system. The design is intelligently adaptive between two secured operation modes: either high data rate with ST-OFDM or high reliability with STPC in mobile fading channels having lower bit error rate (BER). The security is obtained via precoders of the transmitter on each path since the receiver (or users) must know a prior and perform the reversed operation. The intelligent decision of switching is obtained via channel estimation. It offers higher diversity order and better BER performance. Two orthogonal transforms, such as Zadoff-Chu transform (ZCT) and Walsh-Hadamard transform (WHT), are used as the precoder for security and simultaneously enhance the BER further. Although the proposed STPC-OFDM systems require two-path communication with the cost of reducing bandwidth efficiency, simulations demonstrate that the proposed 2x2 secured STPC-OFDM systems are robust to various channel environments. Moreover, by employing a larger signal alphabet size, it regains the bandwidth efficiency and has a better BER performance for fair data rate comparison with 2x2 ST-OFDM.

Classification of House Categories Using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) 使用卷积神经网络(CNN)进行房屋类别分类

Image classification of house categories, such as condominium, detached house, shophouse and townhouse, is still a major pain point and crucial burden for websites’ backend works. Because, this process is still using manual classification, which are low productivities and often found errors. The objective of this research is to develop an appropriate model of the “Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN)” for house categories classification. The results from 4 models processing revealed that the Based model return the highest overall accuracy value of 75.00 percent. The second, third and fourth overall accuracy values were MobileNet, of 73.24 ResNet50 of 72.78, and VGG-19 of 25.00 percent respectively. The MobileNet model had the highest value of Precision. While the Based model also had the highest values of Recall and F1-score, comparing to other three pre-trained models. In conclusion, the Based model was the most appropriate model to this research. However, the three models, including Based model, ResNet50 and MobileNet models, had small different accuracy values, which can be used for house categories classification.

Design of Autonomous UAV Guidance System Using Monte Carlo Tree Search 基于蒙特卡罗树搜索的无人机自主制导系统设计

In this paper, we propose an online path-planning algorithm using a variation of Monte Carlo tree search (MCTS) for navigating intelligently unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to track mobile ground targets, called the P-UAV algorithm. The proposed algorithm employs a non-myopic method applied to a partially observable Markov decision process (POMDP) model, accounting for long-term decision making. Our algorithm integrates a heuristic technique to efficiently generate paths. The algorithm yields to parallel processing methods to significantly enhance its computational performance, making it suitable for realtime implementation. Simulation experiments show that our path-planning algorithm is efficient and achieves good exploration-exploitation tradeoff in finding a near-optimal solution despite the very large search space.

Japanese Language Students’ Perception towards Intercultural Language Activity: A Case of TAFE Southport in Australia 日语学生对跨文化语言活动的认知:以澳大利亚南港TAFE为例

The aims of this study were to investigate Japanese language students’ perception towards intercultural language activities of TAFE Southport, Australia; and to gather additional suggestions from the respondents. The research samples were 35 Japanese students who enrolled language course in TAFE Southport, Australia in 2019-2021. Research instrument was a questionnaire. Data analysis was percentage, mean, standard deviation, and content analysis. The research findings were as follows: 1) The activity is to develop understanding of the culture construction of human behavior was the highest rank of students’ perception, followed by the activity is designed to draw upon the students’ interrelated knowledge of language and culture, and the activity is to reflect critically on individual attitudes, beliefs and values; 2) the additional suggestions were listed as follows: The integrating relationship of linguistic and cultural is significant and should be placed in curriculum design; Projects to help students experience a situation from different cultural point of view create an effective outcome; Critical comparison between different cultures such as how Australian and Japanese society deals with the same situation is interesting; and Techniques for communicating in the target language when sociolinguistic and/or grammatical competencies breakdown are recommended.

Design and Development of Smart Meter Load Profile for Residences 住宅智能电表负荷剖面的设计与开发

The electricity consumption demand increases every year. This is partly due to economic growth and the coming of new trend digital electric equipment including electric vehicle. In order to sustain electricity and reduce environment impact in the future, a method of electric energy conservation is necessary. To address this issue, a non-intrusive load monitoring (NILM), which can show load profile of each electric equipment from total electricity consumption load is presented in this paper. The electricity information of each equipment can help to manage electrical system supply and demand in view of electricity supplier and user. In this research, a supervised nonintrusive load monitoring algorithm is proposed to develop smart meter load profiles. This algorithm is tested through data collected from 10 types of equipment while some equipment has the same power level. The time used in training algorithm is less than NILM that is based on deep learning algorithm. In addition, a smart meter load profile is developed. Results are evaluated by accuracy of prediction load profile for monitoring of 10 types of equipment. The accuracy score of smart meter system was 1. 0 and the system can identify load profiles of equipment that have nearly identical power level. The performance of smart meter load profile in this research is evaluated based on assumption that none of electrical equipment state is changed from OFF to ON at the same time and vice versa. The result of this research is expected to improve smart grid technology and to help sustain electricity supply in the future.

The presence of third parties that provide smartphone hotel booking applications makes the reservation process faster, flexible, more accessible, and secure. This study aims to identify the intention of hotel guests to make reservations through the application with a focus on rational price factors, online reviews, and trust in apps. Quantitative methods are used to answer the research objectives and hypotheses. Research data reaches from questionnaires distributed online to 170 hotel booking application users who have made reservations on the island of Bali, Indonesia. The tabulation of the questionnaire data was analyzed using PLS-SEM modeling with SmartPLS software. The results of hypothesis testing prove that rational price and online reviews have a positive and significant effect on trust in apps. Finally, rational price, online review, and trust in apps positively and significantly affect intention to a reservation hotel. Online reviews have a dominant influence and contribute to trust in apps.

Digital Storytelling and Intention to Donate Through Crowdfunding Platform 数字叙事和通过众筹平台捐赠的意向

Digital storytelling is one of the critical factors for the success of social crowdfunding to raise funds from donors through social media intermediaries. As the value of transactions through crowdfunding platforms increases, research on the desire of potential donors to distribute social assistance becomes something that needs to be studied. This research aims to determine the role of digital storytelling in generating donors’ intentions to donate through a crowd funding platform with the concept of a unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT). Quantitative methods were applied to answer the hypothesis by collecting data using a questionnaire distributed online in Greater Jakarta and Bali. The research sample was 385 people by the purposive sampling technique-analysis of questionnaire data using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling with the support of SmartPLS 3.3.3 software. The results of the study prove that digital storytelling has a significant effect on the UTAUT construct (performance expectancy, social influence, effort expectancy, and facilitating conditions) and finally has an impact on the intention of prospective donors to disburse funds through social crowdfunding.

Estimating Time-Variant Variables’ Effects on a Micro Scale for Time-Based Crime Prediction 基于时间的犯罪预测在微观尺度上的时变变量效应估计

Crime prediction research has been biased toward spatial factors, and insufficient research has detailed predictions regarding temporal factors. To build an industrially practical crime prediction system, it is necessary to develop a method that considers both temporal and spatial risk factors. This study estimates the effect of time-variant variables such as the day of the week, season, weather, and events for a fundamental analysis of time-based crime prediction. However, because crime data are often imbalanced data with extremely few positive classes, subdividing the data spatially and temporally makes it difficult to estimate the parameters. Therefore, we attempted to solve this problem by dividing the city into clusters with high spatial homogeneity and analyzing each cluster. We observed different effects of time-varying factors for different types of crime.
