The sharing economy has experienced rapid development in the past few years; nonetheless, at present, it is still in its infancy. As the sharing economy harnesses an innovative, novel business model, traditional marketing countermeasures are insufficient. Therefore, the sharing economy market patterns need to be explored and appropriate marketing countermeasures developed. To this end, text mining was applied to reviews on a typical sharing economy platform, Airbnb, to accomplish market segmentation. The results suggested that the host is the most valued factor to Airbnb guests. Thus, different from traditional hotel industry, it is essential for emerging peer-to-peer accommodation platform to encourage host to establish good interaction between the guests and the hosts. Meanwhile, cleanliness and convenience are also two major concerns to Airbnb guests, which indicates that Airbnb platform should encourage hosts to promote hotel-like properties for Airbnb listings. In addition, there is no strong evidence of heterogeneity in guests seeking accommodation in different locations.

The sharing economy is of international interest. It is said to be an international phenomenon - however, is there one 'sharing economy' or are there differences between countries? By means of a content analysis of texts available on online sharing economy platforms, this study contributes to an understanding of the sharing economy as an embedded component of the economy and of society. Two countries, Germany and Vietnam, are considered, and an international collection of 280 evaluated online platforms serves as the dataset. Asking which of these international online platforms are available in these two countries and, in a second instance, comparing their features with one another provides an idea of their similarities and differences. On the basis of this, assumptions are made in order to conduct further research on the international aspect of the sharing economy. In a broader perspective, it points to how the sharing economy and the frame of a country-specific system, including its economy and culture, shape it. This is relevant for all actors such as individuals, enterprises, institutions, and academics who are part of the sharing economy.

In recent years, the sharing economy has developed vigorously, and the internet of things (IoT) technology is an important technology to realise the sharing economy. As an automatic identification technology, radio frequency identification (RFID) technology is the key technology to build the internet of things and an essential part of the sharing economy. In order to solve the collision problem of tags identification, an improved grouping adaptive query tree algorithm (IGAQT) is proposed in this paper. Compared to the most of existing anti-collision algorithms, simulation results show that our proposed algorithm can achieve better performance in terms of time complexity and communication overload. And the algorithm is applied to the actual case of sharing economy.

This paper is derived from the research project of cleansing customer address data for the State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC), which is the largest electric utility company in the world and was ranked the 2nd in the 2016 Fortune Global 500. Address standardisation involves development of a standard address format for data integration, de-duplication, auto address correction/completion, and is widely considered as a very challenging data cleansing task. Address standardisation is critical for routine business tasks, customer relationship management, business intelligence for customer-oriented cooperates, and others. Address standardisation is particularly difficult for the Chinese language. The underlying reasons include: 1) the current address standard placed in China is only realised at the city/town level; 2) due to a number of reasons, many hand-written addresses are incomplete or contain errors; 3) it is difficult to process the Chinese language in a machine fashion due to the language. characteristics. To tackle challenges, we propose a hybrid approach combining both statistical and rule-based methods, which are the two mainstream address standardisation approaches. Our hybrid approach utilises the merits of the both methods and can complete the address standardisation task with a little human efforts and computational time, while achieving high accuracy.

The rapid pace of technological change in the internet age has fundamentally transformed information technology (IT) outsourcing. Thus, organisations should be able to re-imagine their IT outsourcing strategies to meet the needs of increasingly turbulent business environments. Bimodal IT requires the shaping of IT services to be either agile oriented or efficient oriented, thereby bringing new demands to an organisations' adoption strategies. On the basis of the review of traditional IT outsourcing service research, this paper presents the traditional and nonlinear modes of IT outsourcing service, discusses risk-based IT outsourcing service adoption strategy, relationship and contract management strategies from the static and dynamic perspectives and provides several directions for future research.

Considering the endogenous structure of the aggregate supply curve, Okun's law, and the monetary output effect, this paper calculates the Chinese quarterly output gap between 1995Q4 and 2017Q2 using an SVAR model based on the inflation rate, real output, the unemployment rate and M2. Then, we reveal the influence of the time-varying characteristic on the real output using a TVP-SVAR-SV model. First, China's economy has experienced four rounds of fluctuations since 1995, and the fluctuations became stationary after 2011Q1, which is consistent with the main feature of 'great moderation'. Second, there was an asymmetric relationship between the volatility of output and money supply after 2000Q4, and the anti-Tobin effect became obvious after 2003. The shock of inflation aggravated the negative impact on output. Third, the output effect of easy monetary policy sharply decreased, and the response cycle shortened following the global financial crisis. Therefore, stimulus policy should be implemented cautiously.

In this paper, we examine the lack of technological knowledge and adaption to evolving technologies as factors influencing sustainable internet usage among women small businesses. Accordingly, it is important to unearth internal and external factors critical for small business sustainable internet usage. Against this background, research questions seek to extend knowledge about the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of sustainable internet usage. We employ a mixed method approach, utilising both purposive sampling of 221 female participants. Through thematic and multi-regression models, we analyse the data. Contrary to expectations, the impact of strength and opportunities on the likelihood of sustaining internet usage are not significant whereas weaknesses and threats may facilitate sustainable internet usage. Implications of the paper encourage sustainable internet usage in Ghana, while policymakers should emphasise access to education and technological knowledge, especially addressing cultural issues that affect women entrepreneurship as well as the provision of skills necessary to take advantage of opportunities offered by internet usage.

There appears to be a current trend for companies to invest in business intelligence (BI) systems to improve analytical capabilities to support decision making. Although much attention has been paid to decision-making benefits of BI adoption, limited research has examined factors that influence user acceptance of BI systems. Therefore, this study utilises the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) to investigate the determinants of users’ behavioural intention to use BI systems, and the moderating effects of gender, age, experience and voluntariness of use on the relationships between the determinants and behavioural intention/usage behaviour. Data was collected from 330 firms in Taiwan’s electronics industry. This result shows that performance expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, and computer anxiety were significant determinants of users’ behavioural intention to use BI systems, while effort expectancy was not. Facilitating conditions and behavioural intention were significant predictors of users’ usage behaviour of BI systems.

Based on empirical data, this study analyses the influence of online information on OTAs’ website on hotel room sales, and the difference among four types of hotel in China hospitality industry. According to the origins, the information on online travel agencies’ website can be classified into three types which influence hotel e-bookings differently. Online reviews and attribute information both influence most of hotel e-bookings significantly except for the variables of cleanliness rating and room rate. Recommended information provided by online travel agencies also has a positive impact on hotel e-bookings except for the variable of browsing index. In terms of the types of hotel, clear differences are also found in the research. The empirical results reveal that online reviews significantly influence the hotel e-bookings except for luxury hotels. But the attribute information of hotels has significant influence on the online bookings of luxury hotels, while room rate has no significant impact on top grade hotels, comfortable hotels and budget hotels. Additionally, the recommended information significantly influences the hotel e-bookings of top grade hotels especially. Furthermore, some managerial implications for online travel agencies and hoteliers are discussed.

This study integrates service fairness into a post-acceptance model of information system continuance. This study added constructs based on Greenberg’s (1993) four-component taxonomy of organisational justice. The research model seeks to be useful in predicting post-acceptance satisfaction, which enhances continued usage of services together with a technological product. The results show that perceived usefulness and satisfaction influence continuance intention, as the post-acceptance model predicts. Three of the four distinct service fairness dimensions, systemic, configural and interpersonal fairness significantly enhanced post-acceptance satisfaction. However, the relationship between informational fairness and satisfaction was negative and significant.
