New QoS approximation approach for topology aggregation 一种新的拓扑聚合QoS逼近方法

Topology aggregation in hierarchical networks has been recognized as an effective way for the purpose of reducing the storage of state information. However, it also introduces deviation from original information. To find the optimal tradeoff between information reduction and accuracy for topology aggregation, two novel approximation approaches based on the conception of approximation staircase was proposed in this paper. The approximation staircase formed by least square method is used to represent the QoS supported area to compress each domain into a full mesh topology. Both the performance analysis and experimental results show that the proposed approaches can minimize more information distortion without increasing the space complexity and time complexity than existing approaches.

Test schemes for master station of distribution automation systems 配电自动化系统主站试验方案

Schemes are presented to implement FAT (factory accept test) of the master station of DAS (distribution automation system), test configuration contains emulated distribution network, test environment and test software, two types of test environments including total software scheme and software-hardware combined scheme are analyzed, and then generalize the conditions for automatic test. The implementation schemes of manual test and automatic test are analyzed in detail for the typical fault situations of feeder automation, and also include several kinds of special faults such as: telecontrol triggering fault, concurrent multi-faults, multi-sources fault, etc. Reliability tests make up of three aspects: 1) long-term continuous running under typically normal condition; 2) continuous automatic telecontrol with short period; 3) data avalanche test. The importance is analyzed for automatic test software performing long-term continuous test and result logging according to developmental and practical situation, and generalize the required time duration and data volume for presented test schemes.

Ultra wideband AGC and VGA designs for software radio applications 用于软件无线电应用的超宽带AGC和VGA设计

In this paper we discuss a CMOS based wideband VGA configuration designed in 0.18 mum UMC process providing a gain of 21 dB and bandwidth of 360 MHz with control voltage range of 1.0 V to 1.6 V. The results of the design were verified through layout. Further, the design was modified to incorporate it in an AGC for Software radio applications. The design process resulted in two ultra wideband VGA designs. The first VGA has a 3 dB bandwidth of 3.2 GHz (800 MHz to 4 GHz), a maximum gain of 23 dB and an operating range of control voltage from 0.8 V to 1.4 V but larger active area. The second VGA designed using only NMOS transistors has relatively reduced active area, a bandwidth of 2.4 GHz (800 MHZ to 3.2 GHz), a maximum gain of 24 dB and an operating range of control voltage from 1.1 V to 1.6 V. The power consumption of both the VGAs is 6 mW at 1.8 V supply voltage. Compared to existing architectures, these designs provide much higher bandwidth and consume relatively low power. One of the VGA designs was then used to implement a wideband AGC for software radio applications. Based on the results obtained, modifications needed to obtain the complete AGC design are discussed in the end. Both the ultra-wideband VGAs and AGC have been designed and optimized in Mentor Graphics Eldo simulation software with TSMC process technology and the layout was done in Cadence Virtuoso XL Layout Editor.

Generation dispatch with storage and renewables under Availability Based Tariff 基于可用性电价下的储能和可再生能源发电调度

There are several issues which are unique to the Indian power system namely the frequency linked pricing of energy, asynchronous operation of the grid, blocked governors in state utilities etc. Each of these has a bearing on the generation dispatch which determines the energy availability and cost. In this work we study the implications of these issues on generation dispatch from first principles. The adverse effects of load prediction error and wind prediction error on dispatch and the utility of storage to mitigate them have been thoroughly analyzed.

LROS: Localized route optimization scheme for NEMO LROS: NEMO的局部路由优化方案

Network mobility (NEMO) basic support protocol (NBS) extends mobile IPv6 to enable mobile network to maintain connectivity when changing its point of attachment to the Internet. However, the use of bi-direction tunnel leads to pinball routing, packet overhead and latency. A localized route optimization scheme for NEMO (LROS) is proposed to solve mobility management and route optimization problems. LROS integrates NBS into a localized mobility management framework to reduce registration cost. Moreover, a route optimization scheme based on the framework is also introduced to eliminate pinball routing within mobile network.

Smart wireless temperature data logger using IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee protocol 智能无线温度数据记录仪采用IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee协议

This paper proposed a portable wireless data acquisition system for temperature in real time process dynamics. Process variables (like temperature, pressure, flow, level) vary with time in certain applications and this variation should be recorded so that a control action can take place at a defined set point. This paper proposes an 8 bit embedded platform for a sensor having a network interface using the 802.15.4, ZigBee protocol, that is specially designed for the sensors network. The ZigBee protocol is a wireless technology developed as an open global standard to address the unique needs of low-cost, low-power, wireless sensors network. This wireless data logger senses and monitors the variations in the local temperature thereby transmits the data within the range to an assigned embedded processor based server. Received temperature is displayed on a local liquid crystal display (LCD) on assigned server and simultaneously on a computer.

Enhancement of system performance and static security through an optimal placement of SVC 通过优化SVC的位置来增强系统性能和静态安全性

The paper focuses on enhancement of system static security and to enhance the system performance under network contingencies through an optimal placement and optimal setting of static var compensator (SVC). The goal of the methodology developed is to alleviate/eliminate overloads on the transmission lines and to maintain the voltages at all load buses within their specified limits through an optimal placement and optimal setting of SVC under different network contingencies. The optimal location of SVC is identified by a new index called single contingency voltage sensitivity (SCVS) index. Finally the optimal setting of SVC is obtained to enhance the power system performance under network contingencies. This premise is attested on 6-bus system to show the effectiveness of the method.

An investigation into the effect of pitch transformation on children speech recognition 音高变换对儿童语音识别影响的研究

The degradation in the automatic speech recognition performance of the adult speech trained models for children speech data is a well known problem. In this work, motivated by the voice conversion approaches for addressing the acoustic mis-match between the adult and children speech, we investigated the effect of pitch transformation on children speech on telephone-based connected digit recognition task. Our preliminary results indicate that the effect of pitch transformation on the recognition performance of the children speech varies with their average pitch values. With the reduction of pitch, an improvement of 10% was observed in the speech recognition performance for children having pitch values more than 300 Hz. We have also proposed an explanation for this performance improvement based on the study of filter-bank smoothing in front-end signal processing.

With the reduction of pitch, an improvement of 10% was observed in the speech recognition performance for children having pitch values more than 300 Hz. Estimation and mitigation of voltage and current harmonics in distribution systems 配电系统中电压和电流谐波的估计与缓解

The widespread application of power electronics is introducing non-linear loads in the distribution system resulting in the distortion of current and voltage waveforms. In this paper, IEEE 13-bus distribution system is considered for analysis of harmonics. The distribution system model is simulated in PSCAD/EMTDC software with static and adjustable speed drives as loads. Harmonic analysis of the system gives the harmonic spectrum and THD of currents and voltages at various buses. Mitigation of harmonics is performed by simulation using single tuned, double tuned, reactance one-port filters. Comparative analysis of filter performance is presented. The simulation study show that the best performance of the filter is obtained when positioned at/near the nonlinear load buses.

An effective wavelet-based lossy compression of noisy ECG signals 一种有效的基于小波的心电信号有损压缩方法

Noise degrades the rate-distortion performance of any electrocardiogram (ECG) compression algorithm. In distortion driven lossy coding approach, the bit stream is truncated at the bit rate that corresponds to a guaranteed user defined distortion level measured using the percentage root mean square difference (PRD). In many lossy compression methods, noise filtering may be implicitly done when performing the thresholding or/and quantization. In such a case, noise decreases the compression ratio for the specified distortion level. In this paper, we propose an effective wavelet-based lossy compression of noisy ECG signals based on the set partitioning in hierarchical trees (SPIHT) coding algorithm and novel wavelet energy based weighted PRDs (WEWPRDs) criterion. The PRDs measures normalized root mean squared difference between wavelet subband coefficients of the original and compressed signals. The dynamic weights based on wavelet energy feature represent the actual contribution of the subbands that are used to discriminate different frequency subbands, particularly subbands corresponding to noise. The WEWPRDs criterion appears to be a correct representation of the amount of signal distortion at all subbands and robust to insignificant errors in some bands. Thus, this criterion leads to a better measure of the rate-distortion (R-D) performance of the coder. Experiments on several noisy records from the widely used MIT-BIH arrhythmia (mita) database show that the proposed scheme outperforms PRD and wavelet based weighted PRD (WWPRD) measurement criteria based schemes.
