Reliability of facial muscle activity to identify vowel utterance 面部肌肉活动识别元音发音的可靠性

This paper evaluates the reliability of the use of muscle activation during unuttered (silent) vowel by an individual and reports the study of repeating of the experiments over several days. Surface electromyogram has been used as an indicator of muscle activity and independent component analysis (ICA) has been used to separate the electrical activity from different muscles. The results demonstrate that there is dasiareasonablepsila relationship between muscle activities of the corresponding muscles when the experiments are repeated. The results also indicate that there is a variation when the same sound is spoken at different speeds of utterances. This can be attributable to the lack of audio feedback when the same sound is uttered. This analysis will be useful for the research undertaking facial surface electromyography (sEMG) for speech analysis, which is being considered as a potential human computer interface (HCI) for people suffering from motor disabilities.

Parameter identification of a fractional order dynamical system using particle swarm optimization technique 基于粒子群优化技术的分数阶动力系统参数辨识

This contribution deals with identification of fractional-order dynamical systems. System identification, which refers to estimation of process parameters, is a necessity in control theory. Accurate estimation is particularly important for systems having varying parameters, which is the usual case with physical processes. Real processes are usually of fractional order as opposed to the ideal integral order models. A simple and elegant scheme of estimating the parameters for such a fractional order process is proposed in this paper. A population of process models is generated and updated by PSO technique, the fitness function being the sum of squared deviations from the actual set of observations. Results show that the proposed scheme offers a high degree of accuracy.

Simulation of ferroresonance with hysteresis model of transformer at no-load measured in laboratory 用实验室实测的变压器空载磁滞模型模拟铁磁谐振

Ferro-resonance is a nonlinear dynamic electrical phenomenon in a power system. It may occur in ungrounded three-phase lines at transformer banks on no-load due to malfunctioning of switching devices (one pole closing at first). A hysteresis model is developed with core-type transformers and power capacitors simulating line transformers and capacitance respectively to investigate ferroresonance. For any operating voltage applied to series combination of capacitance and transformer windings at no-load, the critical value of capacitance to cause ferroresonance jump is determined using Rudenbergpsilas graphical method. The resulting ferroresonance over-voltages across circuit components are simulated at various line conditions using the data obtained from an experimental B-H loop of the no-load transformer. The results show the ferroresonance overvoltages reaching dangerously high peak of fundamental frequency across the circuit elements.

Context-aware mobile assistant agents in software project management 软件项目管理中的上下文感知移动助理代理

Inter team communication within a software project team is currently cumbersome considering the globally distributed development nature of software projects. We have designed a novel approach based on mobile multi-agent technology that would assist the members of a project teams in effectively communicating within themselves in scheduling meetings and relay of other information among globally distributed teams. Modeled using the GAIA methodology, the system also allows for offline scheduling of meetings and automatic synchronization as and when connection is established. The prototypical system has also been designed using the JADE LEAP platform. The novelty of this approach gives us a better insight into the utility of agent technology as applied to personalized software project management systems.

Study of a simulation model of AC Constant Power Load 交流恒功率负荷仿真模型的研究

According to the essential operational principle of High Power Factor PWM rectifier, a simulation model of AC constant power load is proposed. The input current of this model is ensured to follow the input voltage and the consistence in their waveforms is achieved. This model can calculate the RMS of input current and then generate an appropriate current waveform corresponding to the harmonics contained in input voltage. Therefore the input power of the model is constant even with the influence of the harmonics. Compared with the experimental result of a high power factor rectifier behaving as a CPL, the simulation results in Matlab software verify the correctness of this model.

Short term load forecasting using a novel recurrent neural network 基于递归神经网络的短期负荷预测

Short term load forecasting is essential to the operation of electricity companies. It enhances the energy-efficient and reliable operation of power system. Neural networks (NNs) have powerful nonlinear mapping capabilities. Therefore, they have been used to deal with predicting, in which the conventional methods fail to give satisfactory results. A novel recurrent neural network (RNN) is proposed in this paper. Many types of computational intelligent methods are available for time series prediction. The novelty of this RNN lies in the usage of neurons instead of simple feedback loops for temporal relations. There is flexibility to use any type of activation functions in both feed forward and feedback loops. Number of hidden neurons can be changed on case to case basis for maximum accuracy. The performance of the RNN is demonstrated to be better than several other computational intelligent methods available.

MRI denoising using bilateral filter in redundant wavelet domain 基于冗余小波域双边滤波的MRI去噪方法

Thermal noise is the main source of noise in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technique. The image is commonly reconstructed by computing inverse discrete Fourier transform of the raw data. The noise in the reconstructed complex data is complex white gaussian noise. The magnitude of the reconstructed magnetic resonance image is used for diagnosis and automatic computer analysis. An efficient method for enhancement of noisy magnetic resonance image using Bilateral filter in the undecimated wavelet domain is proposed. Undecimated Wavelet Transform (UDWT) is employed to provide effective representation of the noisy coefficients. The filter coefficients of the UDWT are not up sampled with increase in the level of decomposition. Applying bilateral filter on the transformed approximation coefficients, effectively preserves the relevant edge features and removes the noisy coefficients. The reconstructed MRI data has high peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) compared to the classical wavelet domain denoising approaches.

Scalability analysis of optical packet switch architectures 光分组交换机体系结构的可扩展性分析

This paper addresses the major physical layer constraints of the optical packet switch (OPS) architectures. These constraints make the scaling in-efficient and this has been found that the OPS architecture can work efficiently within the bounded regimes. Analysis presented in the paper suggests that most of the already proposed architectures will not be a suitable option and multi-wavelength controlling inside the buffer is essential for the implemental optical packet switch architectures. This paper also presents an improved version of the multi-wavelength optical packet switch architecture to resolve contention among packets which further reduce the physical loss of the switch.

In the present work, a robust algorithm for automatic identification and segmentation of heart portion from cardiac Magnetic Resonance video Image (MRI) is presented. At first, an outline has been generated to get the region of interest (ROI) by employing the moving object criterion, which eventually reduces the processing time significantly. In the next step, Expectation Maximization (EM) algorithm is used to segment the grey scale images into 5 distinct regions. This is done to make them more suitable for further processing and easy to use in the developed software. Finally Level set algorithm added with automatic contour generation module is used for tracking the exact heart boundary to segment it out from the rest of the image. This algorithm gives equally persistent result for both long axis and shot axis cardiac MRI data consisting of a movie (in AVI format) containing 32 separate frames of grayscale images.

Secure 2ACK routing protocol in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks 移动自组织网络中的安全2ACK路由协议

System detects the routing misbehavior in MANETs (Mobile Ad Hoc Networks). Commonly routing protocols for MANETs are designed based on the assumption that all participating nodes are fully cooperative. Node misbehaviors take place, due to the open structure and scarcely available battery-based energy. One such routing misbehavior is that some selfish nodes will participate in the route discovery and maintenance processes but refuses to forward data packets or delay of packets. Here we proposed the 2ACK scheme that serves as an add-on technique for routing schemes to detect routing misbehavior and to moderate their undesirable effect. The main idea of the 2ACK scheme is to send two-hop acknowledgment packets in the opposite direction of the routing path. In order to reduce additional routing overhead, only a fraction of the received data packets are acknowledged in the 2ACK scheme. Thus it detects the misbehaving nodes, eliminate them and choose the other path for transmitting the data. The proposed systems consist of multicasting method. So that the sender can broadcast to the other nodes about the misbehaving nodes. Therefore other nodes can avoid that path and take an another path for the data transmission.
