Comparative Analysis of the Weibull Model and Observed Wind Data in the City of Floridablanca, Colombia. 威布尔模型与哥伦比亚Floridablanca市观测风数据的比较分析。

The main objective of this article is to evaluate the wind resource in the city of Floridablanca, Colombia. In Colombia, the supply of electrical energy comes mainly from hydroelectric mega-power stations, presenting generation problems in times of drought. The wind resource is an adequate alternative to diversify the electricity supply in the country. To analyze the characteristics of the wind, recorded measurements were carried out, every 15 minutes at a height of 30 m, throughout the year 2016, at a meteorological station located in Floridablanca, Colombia. In this study we present a statistical analysis of the wind characteristics in Floridablanca, Colombia, we applied a Weibull distribution of two parameters to model the wind speed and thus determine the wind potential. The average annual speed was 0.72 m / s with a standard deviation of 0.61 m / s. The monthly Weibull scale parameter varied from 0.52 m / s to 0.91 m / s, the monthly parameter varied from 0.98 to 1.37. The highest power density observed was 0.35 w / m ^ 2 in the months of February and August, the monthly average power density was 0.23 w / m ^ 2 which indicates a very poor wind potential considering that they are considered good wind potentials greater than 500 w / m ^ 2. This study contributes to evaluate the wind potential of Floridablanca, Colombia, and can be used, methodologically, to quantify the wind potential with possibilities of generating electric power in any part of the country.

Hydrogen Production and Purification by Bioethanol Steam Reforming and Preferential Oxidation of CO 生物乙醇蒸汽重整及CO优先氧化制氢纯化

Hydrogen production and purification was studied in a combined system including double catalytic bed reaction system. Steam Reforming of Ethanol (SRE) was performed in Ni/CeO2-ZrO2 catalyst and, subsequently, the reforming products gases passed through a second fixed bed containing Au/CeO2-ZrO2 catalyst in order to carry out the preferential CO oxidation (PROX-CO). Initially, the effect of temperature and the initial water concentration in the fed ethanol were evaluated to determine the conditions that maximize the H2/CO ratio while maintaining 100% conversion of ethanol. These requirements were accomplished when 25 mol% H2O and 4 mol% C2H5OH (steam/ethanol molar ratio = 7) were used. The catalyst stability was assessed under these reaction conditions at 600 oC, during more than 160 h on stream, obtaining ethanol conversions above 99% during the entire test and H2 productivity close to ideal. In the second part of the work, in order to obtain H2 grade PEM, the effect of O2 concentration in the feed stream on the selective CO oxidation using Au-CZ catalysts was investigated in the temperature range of 50-250 oC. Catalytic stability test was also performed. Characterization techniques: Temperature Programmed Reduction (TPR), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), SEM-EDX, which confirmed the presence of a strong interaction between the mixed oxide support and the metal.  In this study, we show a reaction system with double catalytic fixed bed in which hydrogen is obtained with the specifications required by PEM fuel cell. The tested materials exhibit high activity and selectivity towards hydrogen production and CO selective oxidation in the range of temperature studied

Pulse width Prediction Control Technique Applied to a Half-Bridge Boost 脉冲宽度预测控制技术在半桥升压中的应用

The pulse width prediction control technique has been widely used in AC-DC converters with power factor correction in boost topology, where satisfactory results have been reported without the need to use classic control laws. However, this technique has not been explored for other types of ACDC converters with power factor correction. In this work, the use of this technique is proposed in an AC-DC converter with power factor correction in a half-bridge boost topology. This topology presents high efficiency because it uses the least number of semiconductors compared to other topologies. In this technique the duty cycle is predicted by processing the average values of state and input variables of the converter in half bridge boost topology, using only four multiplications and five additions, which implies less complexity in its implementation. For its validation simulations were performed using MATLAB R simulink, where it was possible to observe values of power factor and THD comparable with other control methods such as non-linear carrier control, and conventional analog control, both reported in the literature.

The present research is about the practical implementation of a perforated panel for acoustic conditioning, manufactured with guadua, a typical Colombian fiber. The developed panel is checked for its acoustic conditioning properties. Guadua is an attractive natural resource with great potential for renovation and use in sustainable construction. Here, its acoustic absorption coefficient is measured and validated; finally, a physical panel is built for acoustic conditioning purposes

The growing demand for building materials requires the development of environmentally friendly materials with excellent use properties and reasonable prices. One of the major objectives of materials research in the construction industry is the use of renewable resources from waste materials from industries for the development of new building materials. The current trend of thermal insulation of buildings has resulted in the development of materials for insulation based on renewable resources of agriculture. This article describes the research and development of insulation materials based on natural fibres of agricultural origin; in particular, guadua fibres, sugar cane, hemp, flax and jute.

The aim of this project consists in designing and implementing a short-range, low-cost K band, continuous wave radar prototype system for industrial applications with the K-LC6 module, capable of measuring distance and radial speed. This article describes all the hardware and software design, manufacture, and implementation considerations of the radar system. To minimize the cost of a potential product for industry, prototype hardware was implemented by using commercial elements. This work also shows the result of experimental tests that permitted characterizing the prototype and verifying measurements of distance and speed of targets in laboratory environments. These tests permitted verification of its operation, obtaining a short-range (from 0.6 to 63 m) frequency modulated - continuous wave radar prototype, capable of measuring speeds up to 9.2 km/h

Hand recognition using depth cameras 使用深度相机进行手部识别

Hand position and gesture recognition from an image stream is a topic of relevance for developing human-machine interactions. The advent of low-cost cameras in the consumer market, like Microsoft Kinect, leaves open the possibility of build recognition applications, which are not affected by low light conditions. This paper is a survey of the literature on hand position and gesture recognition with the use of depth cameras. It is noticeable that reviewed papers focus on the recognition of one-handed gestures and their classification among a finite set of gestures. Last year’s advances in hand processing include techniques for posture recognition without restrictions, but it is unknown their effectiveness on low-cost hardware because testing were done without a standardized set of images and with a diversity of hardware.

Incidence of using chickenfat basedbiodiesel on the performance of a 13.5kW compression ignition piston enginefor power generation 利用鸡脂生物柴油对13.5kW压缩点火活塞发动机发电性能的影响

New alternatives and feedstocks have been identified to overcome the impact caused by combustion of fossil fuels; some of them point on the promotion of second, third and fourth generation biofuels resulting from non-edible crops and other raw materials. The lack of information about the performance of engines used for power generation encumbers the use of chicken fat biodiesel in gensets in rural areas or other applications in which power generation is the main purpose. Therefore, this work aims to identify the incidence of using chicken fat biodiesel on the performance of a 13.45kWe internal combustion engine employed for power generation. The biodiesel was synthesized in lab conditions and afterwards fueled in the engine. Parameters such as the total electrical efficiency, heat rate, fuel consumption and the exhaust gas emissions are analyzed. A Lister TR2 diesel engine fixed to a Leroy Soner LSA 38 M/J electrical generator was employed. The chicken fat biodiesel was successfully produced in a lab-scale facility and afterward employed as biofuel blended with commercial biodiesel BPa7. The efficiency of the genset increases up to 38.79% with B22.5 higher than the 35.08% obtained for B0.  As a consequence of the fuel reduction and addition of a sustainable biofuel such as chicken-fat biodiesel the carbon footprint was also decreased; the CO2 released decreases about 2.9 kgCO2h-1 when the genset was operating at full capacity fueled with B22.5

Analysis of link time in Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks (MANET) 移动自组网(MANET)中链路时间分析

In the past decade, a steady increase has been noticed in the number of mobile users and the use of mobile communication. In wireless communication links are stable. Duration of the link is the most important design by which the performance of the mobile Ad Hoc network (MANET) can be determined. In this research article, a derivative metric of graph theory attained from mobility model technique in Ad Hoc network of casually moving object, link duration of probability density function (PDF)been examined by using three mobility models namely random waypoint, random direction, and freeway model. The performance is based on the node speed, transmission range, the density of node, area of simulation, and computational complexity with time. By using Monte Carlo simulations, the reliability and robustness of models have been analyzed. The main advantage of the proposed scheme is implemented is an easy hardware platform because of the concept in mobility models and the easiness of code.
