Implication of aluminum in exerting some health disorders among exposed workers 铝在接触工人中产生某些健康障碍的意义

The present study aimed to evaluate implication of aluminum in exerting male reproductive and thyroid hormonal disorders and lipid profile changes among aluminum workers. Cross-sectional study was carried on 56 male aluminum workers in aluminum welding factory. Aluminum dust level was measured and questionnaire was conducted for all participants. Urinary aluminum level, serum total cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein, high sensitive c-reactive protein, apolipoproteinE, total antioxidant capacity, malondialdehyde, luteinizing hormone, follicle stimulating hormone, testosterone,17-beta-estradiol, free triiodothyronine, free thyroxin and thyroid stimulating hormone were measured in both groups. Aluminum dust mean concentration was 1.6 ± 0.3 mg/m in the present study. Urinary aluminum, serum triglycerides, very low density lipoprotein cholesterol, high sensitive C-reactive protein and malondialdehyde levels were significantly higher while total antioxidant capacity was significantly lower among the exposed workers compared to controls. Serum follicle stimulating hormone and free triiodothyronine were significantly higher while free thyroxin was significantly lower in the exposed group compared to controls. No effect of smoking on all measured parameters was reported except for luteinizing hormone. Negative correlation was found between duration of exposure and 17-beta-estradiol. Urinary aluminum level was negatively correlated with total antioxidant capacity on one side and positively correlated with malondialdehyde on other side. Induction of oxidative stress and inflammation might be the possible mode of action by which aluminum exert male reproductive hormonal disorders and lipid profile changes. Aluminum may disrupt thyroid hormones. Pro inflammatory effect of aluminum was verified by the inflammatory markers.

Impact of Different Crystal Sizes of Nano-Iron Oxide as Fertilizer on Wheat Plants Photosynthetic Pigments Content. 不同粒径纳米氧化铁对小麦光合色素含量的影响

This study was carried out to investigate the impact of Fe2O3 NPs synthesized from mentha, onion and moringa plant extract at the concentrations of 20,40 and 60 and 80 ppm on wheat plant as fertilizer. Plant pigments chlorophyll a, b carotenoids as well as total pigments contents were investigated. Also, total phenolic components contents in wheat shoots were determined. The results showed that the foliar application of iron oxide nanoparticles at low concentrations (20,40 and 60 ppm) induced an increment in photosynthetic pigments and total phenolic compounds contents. beyond these concentrations an inhibitory effect was shown at 80 ppm concentration. Different sizes of nanoparticles showed different impacts on the studied criteria, small particle size induced more enhancement in plant pigments and phenols contents while larger sizes showed less impact.

A Developed Method for the Estimation of Diclofenac Sodium via Coupling with Diazotized 4-Aminoacetophenone 双氯芬酸钠与重氮化4-氨基苯乙酮偶联测定方法的建立

A recommended, simple and sensitive method for the spectrophotometric determination of diclofenac sodium drug (DLC) in pharmaceutical formulations was represented in this work. The method is based on the coupling of DLC with diazotized 4-Aminoacetophenone in basic medium to form an intense yellowish-brown colored diazocoupling product that showed maximum absorbance at 362 nm. The effect of various factors such as amount of the reagent, time of the reaction and order of addition were investigated. The experimental results indicated a good linearity (r = 0.9954) over a concentration range of (240) μg.mL with a detection limit of 0.447 μg.mL diclofenac sodium under the optimized conditions. The pharmaceutical excipients did not exhibit any interferences. The low value of the standard deviation alongside good correlation coefficient confirms the applicability of the method. Accordingly, the proposed method has been successfully applied to the determination of diclofenac sodium in pharmaceutical formulations. The results were statistically compared with standard methods by means of t-test and f-test at 95% confidence level with no significant differences observed.

Preparation, Characterization and Biological Activity Screening on Some Metal Complexes Based of Schiff Base Ligand 席夫碱配体金属配合物的制备、表征及生物活性筛选

A novel Schiff base ligand named (E)-2-(((3-hydroxyphenyl)imino)methyl)phenol (H2L) was prepared through condensation of 2-hydroxybenzaldehyde with 3-aminophenol in1:1 ratio. The ligand was characterized using spectroscopic techniques. La(III), Er(III) and Yb(III) complexes derived from H2L ligand have been prepared and characterized by conventional techniques including elemental analyses, infrared, electronic spectra, mass spectra, molar conductivity and thermal analysis. IR spectral data showed that H2L ligand is coordinated to the metal ions in a bi-negative tridentate manner through the azomethine nitrogen and two deprotonated phenolic oxygen atoms. The thermogravimetric analysis data of the complexes displays the existence of hydrated and coordinated water molecules in the complexes. The ligand and its complexes were evaluated for their antibacterial and antifungal activities against different gram positive bacteria (Staphylococcus Aureus and Bacillis subtilis), gram negative bacteria (Salmonella SP., Escherichia Coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa) and fungi (Aspergillus Fumigates and Candida albicans). The complexes were found to have higher biological activity against bacteria and fungi more than the ligand. The calculated binding energy values of the receptors of the colon cancer (PDB code: 2hq6) and the lung cancer (PDB code: 1x2j) for Schiff base ligand (H2L) were discussed.

Extracellular Hydrolysis of NAD+and its Secondary Metabolites by a new Aspergillus sp 一种新的曲霉胞外水解NAD+及其次生代谢产物

In some organisms, the metabolism of extracellular nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) plays an important role in purine salvage and uptake. Since filamentous fungi are used to degrade NAD and produce beneficial secondary metabolites, various enzymes, fermented foods and organic acids. Many strains belonging to filamentous fungi were screened for the enzymes production that catalyzed hydrolytic dephosphorylation and deamination of NAD and its secondary metabolites. A fungal isolate which was found to be the most prominent strain was identified genetically as Aspergillus fumigatous. Extracts of this new strain catalyzes the hydrolysis the ester bond between the two nucleotides of NAD by pyrophosphatase activity, which catalyzes NAD to nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) and adenosine monophosphate (AMP), at that point NMN and AMP are hydrolyzed tonicotinamide riboside (NR) and adenosine separately by 5’–nucleotidase activity This research reports also existence of deaminase activity hydrolyzed adenosine to inosine. The study demonstrated major enzymatic pathways involved in NAD degradationand identification of intermediates formed by Aspergillus fumigatous. Separation and partial purification of these enzymes and some kinetic properties of them were achieved.

The first-row transition metal complex of Schiff base has been synthesized and characterized based on physicochemical spectral and biochemical methods. The metal-ligand stoichiometry and molecular formula of the complex assessed by Elemental analysis and metal estimation-neutral, monomeric nature of the complex and paramagnetic nature also predict by the conductance and magnetic moment study. The octahedral environment around Co(II) and metal-imine bond as a whole predicted by atomic IR and Far-IR spectra. In-vitro antibacterial and antifungal activities of the Schiff base and its complexes compared with those for standard (Chloramphenicol & Fluconazole) by agar disc diffusion method. The Ex-vivo antimalarial activity of the Schiff base and its metal complex was found by using Plasmodium falciparum bacteria/fungal.

Aromatic Amino Acids Partially Alleviated Glyphosate Induced Effects on Metabolites and Growth in Faba Bean with a More Phytotoxicity in Orobanche crenata Parasite 芳香族氨基酸部分缓解草甘膦对蚕豆代谢产物和生长的影响

The holoparasite Orobanche crenata is considered the most damaging pathogens on the faba bean grown in the Mediterranean region. Sub-lethal dose of glyphosate was used for controlling O. crenata, but it caused injury effects on faba bean growth. Glyphosate inhibits the shikimic pathway of the synthesis aromatic amino acids (AAAs), phenylalanine, tyrosine and tryptophan. Greenhouse experiment was conducted using infested pots with O. crenata to explore the possibility of coexposure AAAs with glyphosate to alleviate glyphosate effects on faba bean and determine their effects on the parasite. Moreover, changes in the metabolites related to shikimic pathway were examined in faba bean leaves, 3 and 7 days after treatments. Application of twice sprays with glyphosate at 170 or 340 g ai ha on faba bean was effective in controlling O. crenata infestation. Co-exposure AAAs (0.5 and 1 mM) with glyphosate allowed to partially mitigating the detrimental effects of the herbicide on faba bean growth. Combined treatments produced more sever effects on O. crenata parasite and completely inhibited O. crenata parasite by 120 days from sowing. Glyphosate induced differential effects on amino acids composition, endogenous free AAAs and protein content in faba bean leaves. Moreover, it increased shikimic acid content accompanied by decreases in phenolic contents and antioxidant activity. Level of these compounds was partially mitigate by co-applied glyphosate with AAAs, proposing a potential role of AAAs in increasing tolerance of the host plant by ameliorating the glyphosate induced effects on metabolites related to shikimic acid pathway.

The major active agent of the turmeric plant, which has extensive pharmacological activities, is curcumin, a dietary polyphenolic compound. As a potential medium for drug delivery, a nanoparticle chitosan polymer has been created. Chitosan is a low-toxic, biodegradable, biocompatible and secure polymer used to produce nanoparticles. Chitosan nanoparticles have been prepared using the process of ionic crosslinking. The mean particle size of chitosan nanoparticles was 180-200 nm in the range and curcumin encapsulation efficiencies were 82%. Ultrasound is a non-invasive means to administer medicines to the darkest areas of the human body. Cumulative release was studied in order to study how ultrasound allows curcumin to be extracted from chitosan nanoparticles. The main aim is to release curcumin, as an anti-inflammatory drug, from the Chitosan nanoparticles using the ultrasonic waves. Based on the results, utilizing the ultrasonic waves improved the drug release from the chitosan nanoparticles. The effect of ultrasound and tripolyphosphate (TPP) concentration on the release behavior of curcumin from chitosan nanoparticles is discussed in this paper. (Polybutylin succinate)PBS / (Polycaprolactone)PCL and AZO from organic clays incorporating2-(diethylamino)ethyl 3-((4acetylphenyl)diazenyl)-4-aminobenzoate montmorillonite (AZO-MMT) were used to produce polymer compounds by mixing the solution. These materials have been characterized using X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The nanocomposites have shown increased thermal stability. Where the results obtained from the XRD indicate that the materials prepared in this research are nanocomposites. The results of TEM were confirmed by the insertion of the nanocomposite. In addition, the solution molding process was used to prepare these nanocomposites, and these results were distinguished for comparison with the above-
