Introduction . Immanuel Wallerstein's world-system theory is one of the most well-known macrosociological paradigms describing the phenomena and structures of historical dynamics. The article aims to generalize the Wallerstein's results on the basis of the analysis of geopolitical and geo-economic interstate integration within the framework of contemporary Eurasia. The first notion to reconsider is the concept of the "core" of the world system which is analyzed in the context of the "duocentric" model of geopolitics that has been formed in the last few years by the special political role played now by the United States and China. Materials and Methods. The methodological basis of the study is the concept of the "world-system" by I. Wallerstein. We understand the concept of the "world-system" as a research program by I. Lakatos and analyze its positive heuristics, putting forward auxiliary hypotheses that suggest a "more complex" model of "reality", in order to show the progressive nature of the concept of the "world-system" as a program. As the main "empirical of the most important features of the landscape of the described interaction of states – its multipolarity. None of the states, even those which are a part of or solely the core of the world system, are free from being subject of influence from another "center of power", the formation of which can be ensured by the fact that even those states that traditionally make up the "periphery" can organize or be involved in various integration processes. reported study

Introduction. University studies may lead to high levels of stress among undergraduate students, including a range of psychogenic factors which deteriorate the processes of adaptation, learning, and development. It entails consequences which affect quality and principle of unity of consciousness and activity by A. Leontief, and the ideas of the activity approach by F. Berezin, V. Petrovsky, and G. Hartman. In order to conduct the study of students’ psychological characteristics, the authors employed the following psychodiagnostic complex: the Eysenck's personality Inventory (EPI), T. Ilyina’s Motivation to studies in higher education institutions method, А. Reana and V. Yakunin’s method of Studying the motives of students' academic activity, the orientation questionnaire Personality Direction by B. Bas, a multi-level personal questionnaire Adaptivity (MLO-AM) by A. Maklakov and S. Chermyanin. Results. The study of first to third year students’ personal characteristics showed that the level of adaptive resources (adaptability, neuropsychic stability, moral normativity, communicative skills, motivation, and person's focus on "business") is higher among senior students. The increase in adaptive capacities takes place among second year students, which is associated with the completion of the adaptation period. By the beginning of the third year, the process of adaptation is coming to an end, which is confirmed by the data on a sharp increase in the number of students demonstrating high adaptive capacity. The significance of carrying out research on personal social and psychological characteristics of students and the need of providing psychological help and support in learning, development of individual trajectories of socialization and adaptation of students are substantiated. Conclusions . Recommendations are provided to enhance students’ adaptive capacities.

Introduction. The paper deals with the problem of the relationship between leadership and social activity of a person, determined by the specifics of the socially active person’s self-identification with social and group leadership, and their types, on the example of young people involved in socially significant activities. The aim of the study is to reveal the specificity of the socially active youth’s attitude to leadership as a social phenomenon and to the behavioral model in a social group. Materials and Methods. The study involves the assessment of the following indicators reflecting the attitude of socially active youth to leadership: self-identification with social and group leadership, their types, and the value of leadership status in the group and self-evaluation of characteristic personal traits. The collection of empirical data was carried out using the questionnaire method, which was conducted by the authors among the participants of “Slavic Commonwealth” International Camp of Young Activists in 2016. The number of respondents was 120. The study sample was target. The statistical analysis of primary data (in SPSS Statistics 20.0) was carried out by methods of frequency distribution, grouping, and contingency analysis; respondents' answers to open questions were processed by the content analysis method. Results. The research revealed the socially-active youth's characteristic ideas of leadership, their
